We are so glad we chanced on this food trailer in Hunterville. We don't usually go through Hunterville but will be making sure we do go that way more often, just to experience again the amazing burgers and wedges. They even had GLUTEN FREE burger option, which my husband was delighted with - he is usually resigned to chips when we buy fast food. All the food was fresh and beautifully cooked and nicely presented too. Not overpriced for the quality of the meal either.
Stopped on our way home from a big roadie and this was the best thing we ate the whole trip. We got the Roadie Toastie and the soup + garlic bread and it was soo good. So cheap too! Thank you for blessing our bellies 🤩🧡

I’m a big burger fuel fan and they are pretty hard to bet but I will say the gourmet hi-way Americana burger was well and truly up there! Definitely recommend

Just stopped there for a bite and wow what an awesome burger. I opted for the gourmet burger and was one of the best burgers I had in ages. Kevin is a real awesome guy too. Well worth a stop.
Great place on a sunny day. Excellent portions with quality ingredients. Had the Hi-way Burger with no egg and the Roastie Toastie (which is a roast inside a toastie). Perfect quick stop off the highway. Would eat here again when in Hville.
Stopped here on our way back from taupo. Highly recommend. Great burgers. Didn’t get the ice creams but saw someone else’s and they were huge.
Excellent customer service and presentation of the food. High standards of cleanliness within the truck and food was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be coming back for the one of a kind burgers Gourmet Hi-way offers. Would definitely recommend to anyone that lives or is passing through Huntersville.
Made a random stop for lunch on my way to Rotorua, and the burger offered here was absolutely delicious, will definitely come back here if I have the opportunity again, but most likely a once in a life time purchase
Stopped here to grab a quick bite to avoid the crowds in Taihape. Happy with our decision, awesome service, the burgers were fresh and delicious and the handcut wedges crispy and well seasoned.
