The freshest lobster I have ever had in NZ. They catch their lobsters daily and cook them to sell on the day. (You could buy and take away alive lobsters too. ) The price you pay is based on the weight of the lobster of your pick. Serve chilled with warm garlic bread and some green salad, seafood source, salt and pepper. It is so good and tasty! We enjoyed every bite of it! Money well spent! The service is good and friendly! I think it is ideal to go in summertime since the lobster is served cold. It is nice to sit outside and have your lobster while enjoying the sea view. Oh, we ordered fish without chips. It is very fresh fish too. If you like to have a hot meal, you will enjoy the Fish and Chips. Will go back for more yummy 🦞🦞lobsters!

Dropped by here on my way to Blenheim to try out the crayfish/lobster as it was recommended by one of my peers in NZ. Lobster was served with aioli sauce, toast and salad. Felt the price to food ratio was a little underwhelming. As I didn't know the dish would be served cold. Better to check in with the staff on the way it's cooked before purchasing However, I've seen many people ordering fish and chips. Might be the better option. Shop is located next to the beach with parking and toilet. Outdoor sitting available too

We travelled from Christchurch for a day trip and chose Karaka Lobster to be our food destination. We wanted to give fresh lobster a go as we've never had it straight from it's shell before. A whole cooked lobster was purchased and shared between two people. The lobster arrived to us halved and chilled alongside a salad, toasted garlic bread and chips we added for an extra $5. It was a generous meal, and the lobster was juicy. The woman who served us today also made an incredibly good flat white. The coffee here deserves a special mention. Lovely service, great view and atmosphere, highly recommended for seafood enthusiasts.

Lovely place and a worth it crayfish lobster to reward ourselves after a long drive from Auckland. Coffee, was a bit of a meh. The view is amazing. No data reception in the area or wifi and only public washrooms available.

A lovely pull in off the road for quality food and drink. Local freshly caught and cooked 🦞 lobster served by very friendly staff. Good ♿️ parking and access other than the 1 meter of gravel between the pavement and the access ramp. Easy access to the facilities with ample outside bench seating with wonderful views. 😀

One of New Zealand’s famous tourist towns, primarily known for whale watching, swimming with dolphins, and enjoying lobster! In the Māori language, Kaikoura means “lobster dish”! 📍 Karaka Lobster When we passed by on Tuesday, it was closed. We actually just stopped here to use the restroom. By the seaside here, you can also see seals!

Ordered hot chips and they were nice and tasty. As for the crayfish. They were being sold by weight which is very reasonable. Fully recommend this Cafe for travellers to the South Island.

Luckily we turned up before the lunch call, we had a cray for brunch, and even saw John Key dropped in by helicopter for their famous sausage rolls..
