Had a lovely breakfast here today with my Mum. We had scrambled eggs with bacon. Such big servings and the bacon has to be one of the nicest I've tasted in a long time. Peppermint tea was great and I got a takeaway flat whit which was great. Love the Sunday markets too. Lovely friendly staff.

The Red Shed Palazzo is just an easy drive from the motorway. I love the garden. I had Mexican Quesadillas and it was so yummy and also the salad on the side.

Cute cafe with lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor seating was nice in the sun but the ground was a bit muddy. Walking into the cafe is a bit strange with the area for the markets but nice once you're in. The menu is very large with lots of variety, I decided on the vege omlette which was delicious. Portion size was very generous, I could not finish it but I definitely enjoyed it.
Great location really enjoyed the outside seating area but unfortunately it was raining so we couldnāt sit there. Lovely food and menu will definitely be back to try out the other options. I used my Zomato gold here and had no issues.

Love the environment and setting~ Brought my parents there for Mother's day, unfortunately Zomato Gold cannot be used on that day. We had brunch there. The food was lovely, unique mexican style brunch~ Even though it's out of town, but it can get very packed in the weekend.
The location is beautiful! It was such a shame that we went just at the beginning of winter- if we had gone during the summer or spring seasons, I think the flowers and greenery would have been beautiful to see. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful and rustic place with the food coming out quite quickly! We ordered a chicken filo from the cabinet and waffles and a salmon omelette from the menu- the omelette and waffles were average but the filo was absolutely amazing! Think I am likely to order from the cabinet if I return again :)
A cute little gem hidden away. The atmosphere is amazing, itās different to your typical cafe. A cute drive out of the city to just relax with a nice garden view. Service and food was amazing. Will be going back when in need of an escape from the city.

Officially one of our favorite places for our Sunday Brunches. The only minor downer was the confusion of the table numbers & the given order number however all in all the service was amazing & so was the food! We ordered the Mexican Breakfast & The Palazzo Burger. Both meals were great in portion & flavor & The Palazzo Burger is a unique twist on an average burger. The best thing to order on the menu is their Feijoa Smoothie! Have never had a better one than theirs! Cute outdoor area & art pieces on display which you could purchase with the most unique thing of all, a Sunday Vintage Market just behind the Cafe barn itself. Good to have a stroll & wander after brunch. Highly recommend 10/10.
2nd time back here, lovely spot to sit outside relax while kids play on the tyre swings or explore the mini maze out the back, i had the smoked chicken bap melt - i enjoyed it but wish i halved the portion size as the meals are huge. Husband had the smoked chicken omelette. And the kids had a toasted sandwich with bacon egg and cheese ( smelt divine ) . Reg coffees are about $4 not that big and fluffys come in very tiny little cups for $2 with a choc fish. Food didnt take long as we went in the morning during the week.

For the past 7 years I have lived no more than 5 or 6 minutes from the Red Shed, and I'm ashamed to say I only visited for the first time recently. I'm guessing Sunday lunch is their busiest time, as the parking was difficult and I watched a constant stream of cars arriving (but barely any leaving) while I was waiting for my friends.Ā The setting is beautiful. We had reserved a table so were seated indoors. I would have preferred an outdoor table as it was quite stuffy and noisy inside.Ā Wasn't a deal-breaker though. Service was prompt and friendly. Was a bit of a wait for the food (understandable, given how busy it was) but it was worth it, as it was delicious! They were also happy to cater to my vegan friend who essentially made up her own dish using the 'extras' on the menu. I will definitely visit again, as I want to try more of the menu. Still can't believe this gem of a cafe is so close by!

Food: You can either order full size meals or a half size meal, this is such a great option because the meal sizes are big. The food is great and I have nothing to complain about !!

Overall: It is a good place for lunch with family and friends, it is kid friendly and has a really cool area for the kids to hang out, I would suggest to go in nicer weather so you can sit outside amongst the really cool garden area. Definitely would go back 10/10

Extensive menu with lots of variety, plus cabinet food available.Ā Good quality food and presentation and prompt service from the friendly and efficient wait staff despite being busy on the 2 occasions we have been here.Ā The desserts in the cabinet are all so yummy - the gluten free orange cake and the maple caramel fudge cake are really good (we shared these two between 4 of us, just for something sweet to finish our meal. Just a word of caution here - the nachos are HUGE so I would suggest the smaller option on offer unless you have a really, really big appetite!
Awesome place.....ordered the chicken penne pasta and corn fritters. Fritters were light and crispy....good amount of bacon with it. My partner said his pasta was full of flavour with bacon through it and sauce was creamy and not too runny. 2 slightly negative things is that it does take a while for your food to be served, and after reading other reviews of the side dish of potatoes being crispy etc, ours weren't at all, bit of a let down. We went on a wednesday for lunch....thinking it wouldnt be that busy, but yeah it was lol. Also great how you can take your dogs there as well !

I really enjoy Mexican breakfast and they are harder and harder to find. Eggs were cooked perfectly, very runny and the chicken was tender and flavoursome. The staff were very quick and friendly and made the whole experience great. Will definitely return, especially now that I know it has a pokestop next door!

Stop by at this beautiful Looking red shed when was one the way to Thames with friends. This place is a go to if you are placing by from that area.
We ordered pretty much every single dish and Damn not one meal would disappoint you. The Mexican breakfast, the body builders breakfast, the chicken nachos and Mocas are a good try at the place. However the chai latte is a big big disappointment.
The price of the dishes are a bit higher but the portions of the meal to make up for the price you pay leaving you so full you wouldn't want to eat anything for the next half day.
It is a lovely place.. This Rural coffee is an awesome place to have brunch and go with your family or friends. You have inside of outside areas. There is a market on Sunday morning. Food it is yummy.. But they use lots of different spices on the plate.

I went there for a work party so it was for a buffet instead of from the menu (I will go for menu meal one day). The buffet was great, I loved the ham and the salads. Also the dessert was the best part as I love pavlova and brandy snaps! The cheesecake was a bit flavorless though but it was still great. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Very generous portions and super filling! Everything was done just so nicely and I would have to say is one of the nicest cafe Iv been to.

Even though the shed was a little cold but there were heaters on the ceiling. The cafe has large number seating vs 2's/4's so it's definitely the perfect place to have a gathering with a few family and friends.

Today for breakfast I had the pancakes, fried banana with maple syrup, side of bacon and their special/famous potatoes in curry powder, salt, pepper and a sprinkle of cheese.
If you don't mind to wait for your food then I'm sure you'll enjoy this cafe. I don't mind the wait at times and on their menu they explain that you could have to wait for your meal but today I was a little hungry so the wait wasn't for me. The portions are really generous, which most times I love. Due to being hungry I had big eyes and couldn't finish all my food. Pancakes were 5/5, bacon and toast 5/5 but the potatoes were a little too dry. But overall a good breakfast.
Wife had the Mexican Breakfast - tortilla, chicken mix, fried eggs, avocado, fried potatoes, salsa, sour cream. She loved her meal but also had big eyes as well couldn't finish it at all.
This would be a great place to have a meal in the summer with great seating arrangements, beautiful gardens just a lovely place to relax and take in the views.
They also do lunch and dinner. They also sell alcohol if you like to have a little wine or beer too.
You can hold birthdays or weddings here as well.
Every Sunday they do markets too so definitely a little popular place to be. Will be back if I'm ever out south again for sure!
What a great country cafe atmosphere .... awesome spacious seating great for large groups so many seating options and feeling like your in the country. Luckily for us it wasn't super busy so our breakfast didn't take long but if it was packed you can see how it would.
Great menu selection.. we got the "mess" and eggs benedict with bacon (sauce on the side-always) ... both were country-style hearty breakfasts... really nice. Coffee was good too. Would come back as it's just off the motorway so not that bad really.

Here on a busy saturday noon. It was very busy. We got a seat close to the front door around the garden area. This place is absolutely beautiful and spacious. I got the mexican breakfast and bf got the big breakfast. The serving was very generous and the price is very reasonable. Food was amazing too. The food did take a bit of time to come out but it was all worth it
An amazing place to go on a sunny day. They have a beautiful open seating area within a garden. Heaps of varied seating for big and small groups. Keeping the New Zealand winters in mind they have lots of heaters setup outside and inside. Blankets available upon request. They help budding artists by giving them space to display their art. A really good collection i must say. The food is at par with ambience. I had the chicken omelette. Eggs stuffed with smoked chicken, mushrooms, baby spinach, cheese, salsa just in the right proportion. Came with multigrain toast with melted butter and herbed potatoes. It was big and a very tasty portion. My company tried the eggs benedict. Yumm again. And the coffees ... made to perfection.

A group of us went here for lunch one friday. We booked in. We had to wait a little while to be served. Once we were severed it took about 30 minutes to get our food. Some people were left waiting while others had to eat before their food went cold. Everyone's food looks good. The roast/fried potatoes have turmeric on them so if you don't like a curry/spice taste be wary. My chicken in my burger was a little dry itherwise the burger was yummy. customer service was okay, it took a while to be served once our meals came out the staff member wasn't overly friendly and just dumped our food on the table as she seemed to be rushed. Garden's looked amazing - i would suggest sitting outside if you can. I would suggest allowing a bit of time to dine here.

This place has great food in a wonderful location but make sure you allow plenty of time for your visit as the staff are not always as attentive as they could be. Ā In saying that, the fantastic food more than made up for the wait.

I just loved this place. A cafe located at Drury/Karaka that offers complete tranquility and serenity away from a usual busy cafe. It's a garden type cafe. Food and service was outstanding. You'll be surprise about the selection of food and slices. A hidden gem in South Auckland. They also offer private functions for weddings, 21st and special events. Must visit. Highly recommended!
Came here today with my husband and friends for breakfast. Myself and husband ordered Eggs Benedict with Bacon... Devine!!! Very generous with the bacon, fried potatos were lovely but not necessary and neither was the piece of toast on plate. Our friends ordered poached eggs, all perfectly cooked and service was friendly and fast. Look forward to returning.
Went there for Brunch today. Ā Took ages for our order to be taken then it took ages for our drinks to come. Ā These were finished well before our food arrived. Ā The food was nice though, two had bacon and eggs and I had eggs benni. Ā All good sized portions, tasty and well cooked. Ā My friends ordered a dessert each and I an Iced Chocolate. Ā For desserts that just come out of a cabinet they took an age to come but I actually gave up on my drink it took so long. I went inside to tell them to cancel the order just as it arrived at the table. Ā In all Brunch took 2 hours. Ā Now don't get me wrong I did enjoy my time there as I was in good company and the food and ambience was nice but the wait was really a little bit long.
Wherever you live, this place is worth the drive. Both indoor and outdoor areas are huge plus the menu is extensive, definitely something for everyone.
The place was approx half full when we turned up but our order was taken quickly and the food was on our table in under 15 minutes. We ordered sweetcorn fritters and a BLAT.

Absolutely a worthwhile trip from the north shore to visit this beautiful cafe. It's a hidden gem but it sure is popular! I wasn't going to book but I am glad I did because it was a lot busier then I expected. When we arrived they even had blankets and cushions set out for us which was so thoughtful. The meals took a while to come out but it was packed so I wasn't bothered. They were massive and super delish. To top it all off, they even had a little markets set up at the end of the cafe and a live band. More than happy with the experience that I had - thank you so much.

This place it absolutely beautiful. Located at a rural but not remote location with plenty of outdoor indoor seatibgs. We chose to sit at a table side surrounded by beautiful plants and fliwers.
The food did take a while to come out, but we were warned by the friendly message on the menu. I mean we were in no hurry since there are so much to absorbed and enjoy around us. When they finally come out, they were absolutely Delicious! Very nicely done and presented and large portions too!
Waiting staffs were all very helpful and friendly! We were well looked after. Coffee was a bit of a let down since it's way too milky and mild. But never mind, the rest are just perfect!!

Went with mum for lunch. Place was half full mid week for lunch. Lots of ladies who lunch. Surprising large with plenty of seating options. Nice ambiance. The ladies who looked after us were very nice. Prompt and polite. The food was delicious. I had the pasta which was very nice and just enough. Mum had the breakfast fish special. Some pan fried fish on a bagel with some smoked salmon and a poached egg with holandaise sauce. It looked really good and she was very happy with it. We are both looking forward to coming back for our next meal. The menu looks good and the execution is well performed.

We went for a mother's day breakfast. As expected it was really busy. That didn't dampen our mood. We ordered the creamy mushroom with bruschetta , pancakes, a farmer's omelette and eggs benedict.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere here! It was a warm sunny Sunday and we sat out on a private patio. I got mushrooms on toast and they did not disappoint, so light and creamy with perfect crusty bread. The display case had an assortment of cakes and desserts that come with a side of yoghurt or cream. The girl at the counter was nice enough to give me both. Definitely worth the drive out.
We went here for an extended family lunch. The service was really good and the lady taking our order friendly and helpful. They can do any meal half size for children and can make most of their meals gluten free. I had the chicken burger on gluten free bread which was good and filling. My coffee was a bit on the weak side however my husband commented that his coffee was really good and not weak at all. My children both had the pancakes which came with a generous quantity of fruit, maple syrup and the choice of yogurt or cream they both ate most of it which for them is a good sign! The girls also loved the outdoor area which we walked down to after our meals. There is a hedge maze space to run and play in and some tire horses to ride on. This is one of my mother in laws favorite cafes and we have been a couple of times in the past so sure we will visit again in the future.

The food tastes homemade and fresh which I LOVE. Not just thrown in a microwave or cooked in other disasterous short cut ways like other cafes. Their pastas are delicious. I think their meals are worth the price when you compare the portion size and taste to other cafes! They arent stingy with the sizing :)

What a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the gardens. Can't fault this cafe in anyway. Service was incredibly fast. My partner ordered first then I went up as I was watching the dog.

My first time here - it's a bit of a hidden gem really being tucked away off the main road. We struck a beautiful sunny day so sat outside however there is ample seating inside too if it's raining.
My friend brought his 2 dogs (well behaved) & this was okay which was a nice touch. I would suggest that the less well behaved animal should be left at home.
We both had the chicken quesadilla & salad which was yum. It came with sour cream & salsa. Although there wasn't much filling, it was ample for lunch. The salad was good with lots of ingredients - not just a pile of leaves. Coffee was good & service was spot on. They also have quite a good wine list.
Not cordon Bleu, but a really nice option for a relaxing lunch with friends. Child friendly with a small playground featuring swings in the shape of horses made from tyres. Nice followed by a walk around the garden centre too. Will be back.

This place was superb! I only found this place on the internet. I took a stab in the dark and decided to give it a try, as it wasn't far from my house. I didn't know what to expect - but myself, my sister and my friend were completely blown away! The place itself was beautifully decorated, both inside the 'shed' and outside. We sat outside, next to a water feature and underneath hanging plants. It's the perfect place in which to chill out and put your feet up. If you're looking for somewhere outside of the city's hustle and bustle, this place is still an okay distance to travel to for that special lunch or dinner.
I was impressed by the atmosphere. It felt like it was it's own hidden away little community, with a restaurant, garden, maze and garden shop. I saw an advertisement there for theatre that they are holding at the Red Shed Palazzo later this year. Dinner, watch some theatre and listen to some music. Great initiative, and awesome to see support for local live theatre!
The food was delicious. I had the burger, which was full of flavour. My sister and my friend also found their meals to be flavourful, well presented and of a decent portion.

First thing's first: the food here is simply sublime. The lunch I ordered (Lamb Fry) was undoubtedly the tastiest meal I have had in a long time, and my two friends equally enjoyed their food. We were delighted to see the flair used in presenting the dishes, particularly the burger which was in a category all its own. The staff were relaxed, friendly, and accommodating. The bright sunny day and lush garden setting (which we spent about an hour wandering through and taking photos!) made for a truly memorable afternoon.
Stopped here for a breaky on the way to the airport. Lovely staff. Good service. A minor hick with my order was sorted promptly so no harm done. The food of savoury mince was good. Good portion size Two nicely poached eggs was nice touch than one egg like most places. The herbs potatoes good if a bit too many. The mince was done proper. Couple of points would be the bread was ummm small?? Or less. Could've done with one more size Oh and the cheese. Not needed at all. I would skip it or have a dollop of reduced fat cream if needed. Get rid of the factory cheese n the dish would be better in my opinion. Some fresh herbs on it would make it prettier as well. The cheese made it like a slug. Partly my fault for not having read the description n ordered one without cheese lol. The sauce was just right n not overpowering. Overall food tastes nice n fresh. Good coffee
Went for lunch today with a friend, it was very busy and place was full, we placed our order and sat at a table outside. Really nice setting, has a small garden centre with small collection of plants.
Service was great and our meals came out super quick. My Cajun chicken salad was great and my friend has the pork loin salad which she said was delicious.
Would come back again, food was great! Lovely setting.
Went here for Christmas lunch. Had heard so much about the reaturant so was expecting great things the restaurant/ Cafe delivered nicely decor was warm, Arty and relaxed.
The garden was average unsure of why people rave on about it? Nothing special.
And has an unfinished feel about it have a feeling people are mimicking others feelings about the place not there own.

30-40 min wait for main.. chicken tasted dry was a little diassapointed as wait was a long one and after such a spectacular starter was expecting great things ..did not deliver.
Dessert must not have been very good as I have forgotten what I ate.
Drinks were kept flowing and staff were nice without being to familiar, would visit again not a place that makes my mouth water though when I think about it.
We have been coming to this Cafe/Restaurant for some years now and currently has a great selection of both cabinet food and Food from the Menu. Ā We generally have breakfast and a wander through the Plant Nursery, which backs onto it. and always enjoy sitting outside in the patio/garden area. Ā This time I had coffee and cake, and both were very good! Ā The Cafe Palazzo Ā is a very short drive from the Drury turnoff from the City, and is down a lane on the left (heading to Pukekohe) Ā I would love to come along on their Fawlty Towers night and will be keeping an eye for the next one they run-I've just had a quick look, and missed the August date and the next ones running are now in November Ā :)
Just went there for coffee & lunch. Beautiful food, amazing service. Love the artwork, and the fire in the middle of the cafe makes it cozy & inviting. Great experience!

Just off the motorway at the Drury/Waiuku exit, situated amongst grazing paddocks and next to a garden centre, is the converted metal barn that is the Red Shed Palazzo. With garden, patio and indoor seating, there is the capacity for the venue to handle large numbers of patrons and this was the case when we ate there on a recent public holiday.
Service was mixed, with staff quick to take drink orders but slow to take orders for our mains. This may just have been due to numbers or being understaffed, both of which can be issues on public holidays. The meals also took quite some time to come out from the kitchen, with no acknowledgement of time it would take or secondary drinks order. Credit must be given, however, to the staff member who helped catch an escaping toddler.
The food also was a mixed bag - the Mexican based meals were a hit, as was the salad. The savory mince was a disappointment, especially as it had been ordered without poached eggs. Upon closer examination there were shreds of poached egg on the mince where egg had been put on and then taken off. Luckily this was a matter of personal preference rather than of allergies but kitchen staff did not confirm that with the person ordering when they delivered the meal.
Kid-friendly? Yes for both immobile babies and older children but there are a lot of hazards for wee toddlers that are testing their boundaries. It is very easy for kids to access both water features and the carpark so this should be kept in mind. Highchairs and a change table are available.
Recommendation: Try it out, but avoid if it is a public holiday, you have food allergies or an active toddler.

We come here quite often and I really love the environment at this cafe. The weather was beautiful when we went so we sat outside. There was greenery and plants everywhere with artwork made by local artists that are available for purchase decorating the walls.
The lady at the counter was cheerful and bubbly. We waited a little bit for the food but it was very fresh and tasty. I got the special, which was a big scotch fillet with eggs, mushrooms and fries. It was lovely, cooked to medium rare, and the mushrooms were creamy and delicious. I will be a bit nitpicky and say the steak was slightly under flavoured.
I've always loved the generous food potions that they give, but this time I've noticed that the big breakfast and soup are a bit smaller than before. Nonetheless, this is still one of my go-to places for a pleasant coffee and brunch.
Had the sweet belgian waffle, lovely presentation and superb taste. A taste that you'll want to eat again. Well worth the money, awesome atmosphere. The long black is just average else would have given 5*. Definitely worth visiting again.
We visited Red Shed again and I was surprised by how much improved its sanitary conditions were compared to a year ago. The friendly and considerate service of the staff was impressive. We can feel that they are running their business with heart. Well done Red Shed !
I 100% strongly recommend this cafe, it is full of cultural atmosphere, since the new owner joined, the hygiene status has reached five stars, and the food is so delicious! Well done!
I had a lovely afternoon tea here couple days ago. The environment was relaxing and spacious, and the food was delicious. It's definitely worth a visit.
The cafe is situated on farm land. Feels fantastic. The food was no doubt delicious and amazing. It was a sunny day and we had to wait for our food for more than 20 minutes but it was worth it.
They can make any vegetarian dish by modifying the ingredients which was the best part.
Good customer service from the staff.
Weāll visit again for sure.

15-10-23 Update: Childrens menu has been removed*** We hope it gets returned, as for sales it would encourage families to come and buy their lunches too, plus the Maze is prefect for children's chill out zone in the garden.

The Red Velvet cake on 29-7-23 was dry... the Pasta amazing but not the right bread for a burger-(they responded this has been fixed š„°).
Took Mum to lunch here today to discuss booking her 90th birthday lunch. We were welcomed in and sat outside by the garden. The chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake was absolutely THE BEST cheesecake ever š. Coffee was great and everything else was full of flavour. Definitely making this a regular stop
It's not a high end cafe and cost of food seemed higher than others but quality and no needing to include bacon was totally worth it. Surprised how the food was so good but our flat white coffee had too much milk in it. It felt like milk with coffee smell. Giving 5 star for food as coffee would have been a one off mistake and I would definitely revisit.

Absolutely loved the iced mocha!! My kind of iced mocha- strong mocha flavor with some sweetness to it!
Everything was delicious especially the toasted garlic foccacia dipped in the pasta sauce. Pasta was a bit overcooked though. Good variety of cabinet food, too! Desserts looked sooo tempting!
A very pleasant place for lunch. A good selection of delicious savory items on the menu and in the cabinet plus a yummy range of cakes. Good coffee and wine is also available. The staff are super friendly and helpful.
I bought Roma coffee and tried it when I got home. The coffee here has rich crema! Coffee Crema for the Perfect Espresso, It's definitely not the same quality as the coffee beans I buy at the supermarket.
