Katikati Bird Gardens Cafe - Katikati - Photo album

Visiting the Bird Gardens was a great way to spend a few hours on a fine Spring day. Bought a coffee and toasted sandwich at the cafe first, and sat in pleasant surroundings to enjoy them both. A lot of photo opportunities, especially from the Peacock which put on an amazing display. Was wonderful w
Just amazing! Unique and beautiful birds everywhere. A must go for any bird or animal lover. Friendly birds, nice cafe and food, cool gift shop, very well maintained grounds and garden. We will be back soon 😊
Lovely gardens to walk around. No steep paths. Birds are quiet and interact looking for a feed
Beautiful gardens with lovely paths to follow around the grounds. Many bird aviaries over the property, yet a lot of the birds are free and follow you around - especially if you have some bird food with you! Very awesome experience, will come back again in spring to see it in another season
This was actually better than we expected. Very relaxed environment with calm birds to feed. Quite reasonably priced considering prices of other attractions these days. Being summer the shady tree areas made you linger longer in the cool and the water lilies and tadpoles were abundant. Baby peacocks
We love visiting Katikati Bird Gardens, a beautiful, serene garden space with many different birds to see and feed. Parking, toilets and cafe onsite and bird feed you can buy. Ducks, geese, chickens, pheasants, peacocks, doves etc are all tame enough to eat out of your hand. I must admit that when w
Enjoyed a lovely morning at the bird gardens. My toddler absolutely loved it. Delicious lunch and coffee to finish. Will definitely be back!
To be honest expected to see more birds, but the park/garden is really big and pretty. It's great to spent a few hours, and have lunch or cofee. There is also kids area with swings and slides.
Lovely walk about! Mum and I headed to the bird gardens on Sunday, it was a nice quiet day. The ducks and chickens roaming were all very brave and super interested in having the bird feed! The cockatoo can say "ello" if you talk to it long enough. The Cafe is small but the iced chocolate was tasty.
Great way to get your bird fix. Acres of lovely gardens and ponds populated with friendly birds who you get to feed. Mostly chickens ducks and geese with their babies all around, but also doves, swan, a white peacock and some other unusual species. There are some spacious aviaries for pretty parr
Great 1-2 hour diversion with kids. Shady paths are nice on a hot sunny day. The birds certainly enjoy your company when you have a bag of bird food with you.
Beautiful little treasure with amazing collection of birds and the landscaping is just divine. Must visit if you have time ! Kids will enjoy feeding the birds and there are some great instagramable spots to cherish !
A lovely way to wile away a few hours.
Such a amazing place to go as a family or for some RnR, huge grounds and friendly staff, yummy cheap food too. Highly recommend and well worth the drive. Bring a picnic make a day of it
Lovely gardens. Lunch was delicious pepper steak pie, chicken panini, Devonshire tea. Nice to see a variety of birds, would have been even better if all the averies had birds.
Beautiful gardens. You can buy a bag of bird pellets and the pigeons will come and sit on your outstretched arms. An experience!!
