Set in a former railway station in Kawakawa, now a heritage railway site, the decor is funky historic.

Very delicious food at a decent price, I really love the homemade fries.. the beef patty in the burger was delicious all I can suggest is add a tomato to the burger as well... Otherwise highly recommend and nice staff also

We were there about 20 mins before a train left and it had a bit of a nice busy train station feel, with families sorting out tickets and guards grabbing a quick coffee. The only problem was service a bit slow. A happy place.

I love the Railway Station Cafe. I often stop on my way through Kawakawa. Easy parking, nice tables inside and out, great food and such lovely staff.

Standard fare and drinks available. Visited around 15:00 on a week day and kitchen was closed, only drinks and cabinet foods available. We were only after drinks so not a problem for us.

Lovely place to relax, I had the avocado, feta, sundried tomatoes takakau dish, it was ok a little bit expensive I think but it was something different
Exceptional food at a quiet trendy cafe in a quite old vintage sort of railway station. Most of the places to sit are outdoors and its quite nice to sit and watch the train go by or stop alongside. The lamb burgers are very tasty and the chips were better than expected.
We didn't eat here, but we enjoyed the VERY BEST flat white coffees of our month long holiday so far at Railway Station Cafe. We watched others meals coming out and they looked generous and delicious. This will be our go-to coffee stop in the area from now on. Thanks team.

Good coffee and cake. Good cabinet and cold drink selection. Nice spot to stop on a sunny day. Friendly cafe staff and friendly people running the railway and railway shop.
