This place has won lots of awards and I can see why. Consistently great fish and chips. Not too greasy, we’ll cooked. Really friendly staff. Surely this is the best fish and chip shop in the Hutt.

They were closing up when I got there but the owner didn't turn me away. Now thats what I call service with a heart. I'm really grateful because I did not prepare a meal for my wife when she finish work. We both work n sometimes you just need a bit of luck. Fast forward 2023 service still the same v
Truly best fish and chips I've ever had. More than flavourful, I didn't feel a little ill the next day like other places, maybe it's the oil or batter but this is a must try.
The only place I miss after moving away from Wellington.

Haven't been here for awhile, was impressed with the choice of Terakihi, Groper or Orange Roughy as the fillet options. Chose the Orange Roughy as wasn't disappointed, very decent portion and have to say this place has hands down the best non greasy fish and chips around by a long way. Potato fritte

Its been a few years since So Fine won a national award for their fish n chips but they still seem to be as consistent as ever. Awesome food. We have tried their fish and chips, and best in Wellington according to me.
As a total surprise, we tried their steak burger, and it was out of this world! A must have!
