OMG 😮 I have gone to rice roll heaven. It is the freshest and best tasting that I have tasted for a long time hence the 5/5. They make these rolls and ho fun on site and people come from afar to eat these dishes. We had the beef ho fun (beef with flat rice noodles) and a plate of each beef and roast pork rice noodles. My dining companions said their soya sauce that is poured just before eating the rice rolls were the tastiest in Wellington!!! That is some compliment. My nephew rated the roast pork/chicken on rice on his last visit as the best on the menu. There was also a cabinet of Southern Chinese cakes and dumpling which also looked very tempting. This restaurant is located inside the grocery shop and opposite Pak’n’save. Parking was easy to find. They charge for the Chinese tea here.

Been here a few times, had the ho fun, singapore noodles, rice rolls, beef tongue and tripe from the cabinet. All dishes were pretty good and you can get both chilli and soy sauces if you eat in or takeaway. The ho fun was my least favourite, not a heap of flavour in there but all the other dishes i would eat again for sure! Worth a visit, gets busy at lunch which is a good thing!!

Good supermarket with a variety of goods. Mainly Chinese ingredients and products but they also sell some products from Philippines, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. And the restaurant serves delicious food, too. We especially love the crispy pork (perfectly seasoned), wonton soup (clear and clean soup. Really delicious and very comforting), pork buns (soft buns and delicious filling) and red bean buchi balls (crispy, not drenching in oil, delicious red bean filling).

Great supermarket. This places shows you how we get ripoff at the supermarkets with items like soy, vinegar, dumplings, spices, sauces, etc. Here at Yan's is way cheaper and also more interesting. I will be doing half of my supermarket at Yan's from now on

Great place for a quick hot lunch. Pork hofun & bami goreng pictured, tasty & generous servings. Menu range is what you would typically expect for lunch. Eat in or takeaway. Cooked roast duck & pork hanging up to be chopped for eating. Some baked bread items, I will try the Portuguese Tarts next visit. Would be nice if they would put a jar of chilli sauce on the tables. There is limited & almost always full off-street parking shared with the attached Asian supermarket, and on-street parking. Good variety in the supermarket.

I go here quite often for lots of asian goodies. It's an awesome supermarket, with everything from fresh produce to authenticate noodles, sauces, oils and vinegars... snacks and drinks. We often come here to shop and buy lots of goodies. I especially love the bubble tea that is made and served hot at home; the super spicy noodles which come in a self heating container (just add water). They're around $6-$12 and so worth the price!

Not a big selection of asian groceries like the one in Wellington but the food at the restaurant/takeway place in there does really good food, would definitely recommend the beef hor fun

Restaurant: amazing food! Don’t be put off by the presentation of the restaurant, the food is traditional and amazing! I was sceptical at first but have been back so many times as it never disappoints. Good value for money as well! So glad I said yes 2 years ago. Been back heaps!

A huge assortment of Asian goods at fantastic prices. Don't buy your soy sauce/ vinegars/ fish sauce etc anywhere else, because Yan's prices are the best by miles. I'm always impressed at how far my money goes when I shop at this store. Easy parking, with more parking out the back. The staff are friendly and helpful. Fantastic crispy pork in their restaurant area.

If you are into Chinese cooking, then this is the place to go! They have an astonishing array of foodstuffs and sauces, most of which I have never heard of. They are open 7 days a week, and have a Chinese takeaway on the premises also. We purchased combination fried rice, which was cooked to order, and some pork belly. It was amazing!!! We will definitely be returning!
