We have recently requested South Indian delicacies from B-Lounge for our house warming ceremony. We have customised the menu to reflect Andhra Cuisine and was made top notch. All the guests were super impressed with the food. The highlights are Boori (a typical Andhra sweet) and Sambhar. Thanks to Team B-Lounge for making our ceremony more memorable.
A very nice place for real Indian foods taste. The five star thing is the buffet on Friday evenings from 18:00 to 20:00 which costs 25$ per person and you can eat a lot of different dishes with a complimentary drink and sweet.
This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have visited recent times.
I tried curries in many restaurants in wellington. Most of the restaurant curries are cream and colour based. But this restaurant gave me the real and best butter chicken. This became a regular customer for them. I tried 4 to 5 different curries. All are awesome . Staff are friendly.
Keep up the good work
Smith.
The best Indian in the Hutt Valley. Don't be put off if it seems empty - there might be 100+ on one night (really! - they have recently had 130 apparently!) and then only a few around u the next, but the regular flow of take away customers says a lot about the food quality.
If they were 3 - 4 blocks to the west they would probably be much fuller every night, but its the food that matters, not the location!
changing the rating as the Owner Suresh took real efforts to understand the issues we faced and compensated with a wonderful valentine buffet dinner for the family. Suresh Kumar met us directly and explained the details. I will definitely go back to Blounge again as the problem I faced was due to unplanned staff unavailability for few days .
reply to the owner for his response:
it was Jan 9 2020 evening , I ordered two chicken fried rice and chilli chicken ($66.97) as take away. I had specifically mentioned the spice level to be mild and mentioned if they really do fried rice. Once the kids started to eat then only I realized how bad the spice level of chilli chicken was and the quality of fried rice was really bad.I checked with my family members and we were surprised with the quality of fried rice.it was having a strange smell and it just had rice with chicken lumps.I called your manager and he needed the food back to accept it. I had to bring it back to your restaurant and even he agreed that it was a mistake, which I didnt understand . After 15 mts I was given the food back with changes he said. fried rice was still not good to eat and only change I could notice was few corn added .It spoilt the dinner for all of us and wasted our time I was having an appointment and that's the reason why I ordered food rather cooking to save time. I can understand human error of having spice level miscommunicated to the chef , but the quality of fried rice was really horrible.
I had ordered food from your restaurant several time before and I like the biriyani. But this experience was worth 1 star rating .

I hope your manager will remember the incident. I ordered fried rice and chilli chicken. The fried rice quality was not acceptable and the spice level of chicken was also opposite to what I asked. I had to visit the restaurant again to sort it .
We tried the chicken 65, butter chicken and chicken kebab. Everything was outstanding and the butter chicken was probably the best we have had. The place has a limited menu but everything seems different and well prepared. The manager was very friendly and service was good which is usually lacking at Indian Restaurants. Ended up getting Tikka masala and chilli chicken for takeaways and looking forward to it.
From 2 stars to 4 stars 29th May - I don't know why I am keep going to b lounge for briyani, may be I need a satisfaction of the briyani? and yes, last 2 times (last weekend and today) we managed to get fresh briyani and double masala in lamb briyani was the best. It will be great if this remain the same all the time.

UPDATE - 20th April. sorry I have to put it down to 2 stars I really appreciate the time your chef takes time to cook as cooking is bit hard but we should be getting for what we pay.
The chicken briyani wasn't nice but smelled too much of gee? Or something.
Wouldn't buy chicken briyani and lamb briyani is average. I heard that they said they have upgraded the cooking products but it's not good.

Briyani.. Chicken briyani.. 😢 It used to be yum. Also lamb briyani.. I used to tell my mates B lounge briyani is the best briyani place and my mates were complaining to me that it's not now. I didn't belive it. Then I thought I should try now and tried on Friday. Worthless. Briyani was not that great. And toilet has to be regularly checked and cleaned.
This was surprisingly good. I went here for a work function with no real preconceptions about the place. I'd walked past it dozens of times before but hadn't even realised it was an Indian restaurant!
The food was actually very good. The staff very courteous and helpful.
Causally stumbled across this Indian restaurant. Really glad I did. great costumer servies ask for a suggestion on the lamb curry with more heat and not as sweet. Got what I'm asking for. Give it a try.
Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the whole of Wellington. The Hyderabadi Biriyani is a must try item. All the other items are also quite good.
Fridays are the best days to eat in this place with good ambieance of crowd and freshly cooked any meat dish. Biryani is best dish ever to eat in this place and patthar ka gosht.
Lovely staff and many lunch options available here.
