Best birthday cake 😋 I asked The Chubby Baker for a white chocolate cake with lemon curd filling, lemon butter frosting and boy did they deliver!! They added a white chocolate drip to this 10cm stacked on top of a 10cm. Everyone raved about how delicious it was and such a reasonable price too
Used The Chubby Baker for event catering for a work/corporate training event in Petone and they were excellent!. On time and food was superb. Well received "and eater" by our guests. We will use again. Thank you team, Eugene - Rinnai New Zealand
No doubts about it: the is the BEST cake shop in Wellington!!! Steve, the ‘chubby baker’ is welcoming, efficient and provides impeccable service. I ordered a last minute birthday cake over the phone from Australia and it was ready to collect in minutes, even with a personal birthday inscription!

Absolutely beautiful food and an awesome flat white! I had a cinnamon brioche and it was genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve ever had from a bakery! Highly recommend

Ordered a pack of Cronuts and a pack of Croissants to be delivered.
both orders arrived boxed for protection and in perfect condition. Both were of excellent quality. Best croissants I have had in the last 12 years here in Welly. will be buying again.
Went in for the sweet pastry. The fruit tart is awsome, not too sweet and just the right size for a late morning coffee break.
The almond croissant is very good, however, I personally like my croissants a bit less crunchy and a bit more fluffy (more butter in the dough perhaps?).
Definitely going back for more pretty soon.

This is an amazing bakery run by lovely people! Their almond croissant is the best our family have had (and we are known to try them wherever we go) prices were also really reasonable and good value for money. The savoury danish is also a firm favourite. Support local and support these guys!
went in today to buy a steak bacon and creamy mushroom pie and i have to say one of the best pies I've ever tasted i will be going back there again very soon yummy
