Juicy hot chicken, tender basted.
Skin is not crispy.
Chips are nice, ok portion.
Not super busy, but the front desk service is poor to none. The food service was not much better, Cutlery was a bit dirty, and everything was a bit untidy.
Update Dec 2022: Food was great. Very moist chicken, flavourful and chips were delicious.
Service was fast and friendly, but food was average. Chicken breast was quite dry but chips were nice.
A big fan of Nandos. Great chicken, crunchy fries, good service and atmosphere. If you love your chicken, you should have nandos. The peri-peri sauce makes it special.
Definitely visit again.
If you're looking for some delicious, mouth-watering chicken, Nando's is definitely the place to go! Despite being short-staffed during my recent visit, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They worked tirelessly to ensure that all customers were attended to in a timely manner, and their positive attitude truly brightened up my day. The food was simply amazing, with a variety of wonderful flavors that had me coming back for more. Although they were short-staffed, I was impressed with how well they managed to maintain a high level of service and quality. All in all, I had a fantastic experience at Nando's and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service.

We tried Nando's Lower Hutt last night for dinner & we were surprised at the negative reviews we had read prior to trying it. The staff were friendly & helpful & the chicken & chips were very flavorsome & cooked well. Based on this visit, we would happily recommend to others.
Hot half chicken with peri peri chips, So far the best out of all nandos in NZ.

Tried their new Mozambique Smokey Paprika meal; it was nice. But their bottles of catsup were all sticky on the outside, I had to wash my hands after holding them. A little attention to details like this wouldn't be too much work
We had Nando’s for lunch today. The chicken was moist and tender, chips delicious and the garlic pita so yum. But the highlight was the Greek salad. It was fresh and tasty with generous proportions. Highly recommended!
It's a rare that I meet someone who can run a counter, seating guests to tables, being a waitress and still be come across a genuine people person during during peak hour roster.

Amazing. Wonderful staff and food. My fave are the wings and tenders. We had a great time and were treated extremely well. Highly recommend. We missed not having wings on the menu. We a family of 4 we prefer to get the sharing plates and we so glad it was on the menu again. The food was so tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the Nandos experience!!!
We went as an extended family of 4 ordered our food 2 of the meals came to us after 20min wait, then next order came another 20mins and last order took a further 10mins. Disappointing. But have to say the food burgers kumera chips wrapps and salad chicken were
outstanding the chicken was moist salad fresh burger full of flavour wrapp perfect portion size over all impressed. Thanks
Nandos Lower Hutt is pretty consistent. I work across the road, so it's one of my staple go tos. The food is always fresh and flavourful. I tend to order online for takeout as they're always busy at lunchtime, so the tables aren't always bussed quickly. The rare occasion I've dined in at lunchtime, it's taken about 20 minutes for the order to turn up
Food was really good. Kids also loved what they ordered. Would however be useful if staff were a bit more customer friendly as only one girl was taking orders and tidying up the tables as well.
