We came here with a Groupon voucher which included 2 entrees and 2 mains which we bought for around $24, as Groupon was having a promotion at the time.
We ordered Mixed Appetisers, Deep Fried Calamari, Chicken Yellow Curry, and Pad Thai Chicken and Prawn.
There was a good variety in the mixed appetisers, everything was delicious and fresh. The fried calamari was a bit weird as it didn’t taste/feel like calamari, it was quite mushy and didn’t have much seafood flavour to it. The yellow curry was absolutely beautiful, it came out piping hot and fresh, the flavours were aromatic and there was an abundance of chicken and an assortment of vegetables. The pad thai was also amazing, perfect combination of sweet and salty and included some really big juicy prawns. Overall, I thought the dishes were outstanding and delicious, beautiful interior, friendly service. Amazing value for money with the Groupon voucher, would definitely recommend buying one if it ever pops up again.
I have been here with family several times now. Sometimes the food comes out a little slow, but always woeth the wait. The pad thai is amazing and their curry is superb! We could not stop eating the curry even though we were so full, but it was full of flavour and the spice was just enough of a kick (we ordered medium spice). The entrees are also pretty good especially the fried bread and prawns. The ice cream and fried banana was huge I couldnt believe it. The proportions in general are pretty generous, will definitely be bavk again. Thanks for another enjoyable night.
Great food with good service! We ordered 6 dishes and all were delicious. Good prices and rice included in meals. Most Thai restaurants charge extra for rice. Will definitely be back.

Tried out their lunch menu special, $13 main or $15 main plus entree. We ordered the set menu $15 each.
Entree comes with a skwer of chicken satay, sring roll, fish cake and a fish caked bread and a curry puff.
Its ok, nothing rave about that but def value for money.
I had a Pad Thai and it is ok. A bit oily to my liking but not complaining.

This is a little hidden gem. The staff are lovely - and it is normally pretty quiet. I've been here a couple of times and always really enjoyed myself.
The food is really yum, although I will say the medium spicy is not that spicy, but there is a lot of flavour. In terms of options you are spoiled for choice.
There are quite a few vegetarian options too which is great. Below is one of the vegetarian options (I can't remember which one though - sorry!)
In terms of Thai food on the shore, big YES. Always friendly staff and show great hospitality. Good portions, great tasting food. And...it's BYO So, happy days 😎

Very nice flavors and friendly service. I had the duck curry and enjoyed it. My kids enjoyed their stir fry and the entrée of spring rolls was also yummy (but quite small).
First time at Chao Phraya last night..decor is beautiful..so is the service and the food..ample parking..only negatives the food is a bit pricey...cashewnut chicken at $20.50 and $26 for fish...staff are friendly, mannered and in proper uniform.

This is our go-to for lunch takeaways! Me and my mum went a few weeks ago after a spontaneous craving for their stir fry chicken and prawn and was feeling heartbroken coz it was closed down for a while. Haha literally heartbroken coz we were thinking about their takeaway menu all morning!
We usually go for their Pad Thai with the stir fried rice noodles, chicken, prawn and egg and usually their chicken and prawn curry dishes. The meat is always so succulent n seeping with flavour!! We always end up ordering those exact dishes since they always hit it everytime.
The staff there are also so cute and friendly! Always with a smile. We've never dined there, just takeaway so far but I'd definitely be keen to try their appetizers and tiger prawn dishes sometime.
Chao Phraya Restaurant is top of our list of Thai Restaurants on the Shore and we have tried most. Always a table, staff friendly and helpful, decore not over the top, the food very tasty and good value. They are the one we keep coming back to.
Great food! Had the red curry and have never had a thai curry with such intense mouth watering flavour. Great service too! Highly recommended.
We visited this restaurant for the first time last week simply because we had an entertainment voucher for a discount.
We were extremely surprised at what we had discovered. We go out for meals about twice a week.
The restaurant was very clean, the staff could not be faulted,they were so friendly, the surrounds were very intimate and quiet, unlike many other restaurants.The food was delicious without being expensive.
We will definitely be recommending this place and will be going back.

Really nice restaurant and service is always great! We have been regulars here for over a year and always go back for more. Portion sizes seem to have got a bit smaller lately. Otherwise 100% and highly recommended.

Went there last Sat night and there were only about a 10 other diners. We have been here a few times and can not fault the food. The service on this occasion was good and we got our meals relatively quickly, how ever we have been here before and had to wait a very long time, they definitely can't cope when the place is semi full and should relook at that aspect of the service but am pleased to say the food is worth waiting for.

What a gem of a Restaurant in our local area. When you enter the doorway at the ground level, you go up 1 level to the dining area - excellent decor and a very warm atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
They have an excellent spread on the menu and is well balanced. After ordering drinks, our starters and main meals, we were able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant.
The food was great, all produce used was very fresh and the meals looked amazing and tasted even better. The hot curry is very well spiced, but does not burn when you are enjoying your meal.
Main meal portions are big and filling.
We had a very pleasant evening, good interaction with the staff, thoroughly enjoyed the food and hospitality. Will reccomend it to future customers and we will be back in the future.
Very tasty food. Ambience a bit strange without any music the night we were there most recently. Serving sizes pretty variable, a couple were really quite small for the price. Price for rice in the menu says per person, in reality was per small bowl. We let them know but still charged us for it.
Bought Groupon voucher for 4 people, it was quite daunting having to climb up all those stairs as we are all seniors, but when we reached the top we were amazed with the restaurant, well worth the climb. The entrees were very tasty and nicely presented. 2 of us had ginger chicken, another ginger beef. I had the pineapple fried rice, it was delicious. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because of the stairs. The staff and service were excellent, so we will be back. Thanks for a lovely time.
Wow, such amazing food! The service was fantastic and the restaurant is so beautiful! I will recommend this place to everyone. We had the hot basil and a sizzling lamb, I wish I paid more attention to the names now, but I'm sure everything is just as good, looking forward to coming back.

Used the groupon voucher, ordered the chicken wings and satay chicken for entrè. The satay chicken was amazing, and the wings were average. For the mains we got a ton yum noodle soup chicken and ginger beef stir fry. Both mains were amazing, definitely worth the full price of $20.
Ambience was good and the service was also great. All meals came in a timely manner - within about 15 minutes.
I got the voucher from Groupon for 6. No doubt, the food are very nice. However, some serving is rather small compared to other Thai Restaurant I've been. So price is just correct with discount. One of the entrees said 5 but only served 4 pcs. Typo that never been corrected. I'll go back.
I love Thai food, and yet found it hard to find a good pad thai until I went here. Now my #1 place to go. Brilliant service, delicious food ( would definitely recumbent the cashew chicken ). Been many times and never found a fault. Big portions and very friendly staff. Very well done
Whenever I think of quality Thai food, Chao Phraya is my go to! Husband and I, we are vegetarians and they always take good care with the food and deliver the best. Always impressed me. Highly recommend this place for quality time and food.
