Had a really good evening here, we were camping nearby and searched on google for somewhere to have a few drinks and possibly some food. Wood St came up and looked good from the reviews so gave it a go. On arrival we were warmly greeted and grabbed a couple of drinks. Some good banter from the bar too, with a wide selection of craft beer. The place was half full when we arrived with a band warming up. We mainly intended on staying for one drink, but after seeing the food coming out and reading the menu we were convinced. Three beers each later and a pizza and some wings we called it a night. The place was packed by the time we left and had a lively atmosphere. Would not hesitate to return.

Good setup eat inside or outside, inside the walls are lined with movie posters which is neat and they have multiple arcade machines. The service was good with the waiting staff checking every now and then if we needed anything else. We both had a burger and chips which was reasonably priced and tasty Highly recommended

Very friendly service. The main kitchen was closed on a Sunday night but the pizzas were great. Highly recommend the Pork Belly Hoisin and the Tandoori chicken pizza.

I worked there for about 3 months and everyday the locals, my colleagues, and the overall vibe was just so joyful. While in here, I was told some of the sweetest things ever and I exchanged more genuine smiles than I could count. This a place you can just go and be happy.

Coming from a family who was raised in hospitality. I can honestly say, I haven’t seen quality like this in years. The food was fast and tasty, but the friendliness and the welcome we experienced from the staff was an absolute game changer. Not to mention, this is a dog friendly environment and our dog was so spoiled and welcomed by all. Literally the highlight of our trip. Ignore any rubbish reviews written about these guys as I can confidently say they are phenomenal!! Thank you Team - see you tomorrow!

I don't know why wouldn't anyone give this place 5 stars! Excellent food, wonderful staff and overall good vibes. We got the garlic and cheese pizza and hot wings. Both tasted great! We didn't mind the wait, considering how packed they were. Great job guys! Will be back for more soon!

Love the place especially because of outside tables and of course because it's dog-friendly. Pizzas were yum. Salsa was great. Was a bit packed when we visit and limited options to choose from the menu (Visited on 3rd Jan around 5pm). Staffs were friendly. Definitely would visit again when we are in town and try other dishes.

Had some pizzas and it's been a while since we had some proper wood fired pizza. Had the Hawaiian and Meat Lover's pizza and both were well worth it. They offer gluten-free options on all pizza which is what we were looking for. Pitty that they don't have a kids size in GF... 😞 The onion rings were great with a decent sized portion and some complementary dipping sauces The outside area was fine and I think it might be great on a warm summers night. Outside is dog friendly with bowl for the dogs, special doors and even clips to clip them in so they don't run around toouch. Pitty smoking was allowed outside though It was quite unusual to see people smoking at a family friendly restaurant.

Great place in the township, you can grab a coffee in the morning and come down for a cold drink later in the day. Plenty of craft beers available as well as your standard wines and RTDs. Menu is what you would expect from a pub style place. Pizza seems to the favourite. Great seating indoors and outdoors as well as been dog friendly.

The braised brisket burger and salt n pepper squid were amazing. Great food, fantastic service. Free retro video games, loved playing Galaga, and Donkey Kong. Highly recommended.

Visited the other day whilst staying in Mangawhai with a friend. Great pizza. I had the mixed mushroom and it was very tasty. My friend had the fish tacos and said they were really nice. Staff were nice and table service was ok. Would definitely go back.

Helpful and friendly staff with an awesome atmosphere. There is a range of craft beers and wine to suit everyone and their taste; or coffee, in house made iced tea, and kombucha if you find yourself here in the earlier hours. New winter menu offers the best pizzas, salads & other yummy nibbles - chicken wings are a favourite!

Lovely staff and fab food we had a mix of pizzas and burgers all were delicious. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere which I’d say is the best place in Mangawhai for a family meal.

I swear the cook put more love into this pizza than I did my girlfriend last night. I got so turned on. Hot, steamy, and stiff... pizza crust . Just perfect and moist ,, oh so moist. Quickly come .. and get on this pizza place. Omg.

I come here all the time, the food is excellent, and the selection of beers is great too. The outside area is well positioned facing the street, making it an awesome place to hang out and people-watch. The quiz nights are great fun too. One bit of constructive feedback: the wait time to have our order taken is too long (and yes, we always wait at the front counter to be seated :) The staff themselves are awesome - friendly, personable and fun to talk to. Overall this is a great place.

That pork belly pizza. Fuark. How good. You can chuck hoison on anything and id eat it. And I mean ANYTHING. But fr, place looks great inside and the food is comforting. Bases were crispy and the pork belly soft as clouds. Waiter got us some chalk for the young fella to draw on the table which kept him busy. If you wanna good pizza, Get it up ya
