Cracking fish (Dori) and chips. The staff are friendly, helpful and no nonsense. They were also kind enough to bring my food to the pub next door when it was ready, where I washed it down with an ice cold pint, listening to Thin Lizzy, in the company of some friendly locals.

Simply put. This is the finest fish and chips I have had in many many years. It's not very often that you can say a takeaway shop can transport you back to your childhood. Everything was absolutely perfect. Well done team!!!
I really wanted to gate keep this place but we were served the best fish and chips we've had all year, love the tray our food was served on and a really nice quiet spot to get an affordable feed. We'll be back for sure

Originally came for hoki and after seeing the price for one piece, I assumed they were fresh. However they are frozen, so we opted for burgers. The burgers and chips were nice and there were a ton of patrons waiting for orders. I thought the pricing was definitely on the steep side.

Always a great visit for takeaways here. The fish is always cooked to perfection, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere great. You can sit outside in the open garden and enjoy in the quiet.
The hoki was cooked to perfection and the food was well presented. The batter was crispy and the chips were a great golden colour. Definitely worth detouring here on the way to Kerikeri to have a feast ☺

Fish and chips meal was so yum. Had me in memory eating mode. 😋 Chips were freshly peeled, fried fresh clean crunch, as was the batter. The fish was well cooked and delicious 😋. With side salad with enough red onion to give it Abit if kick 👍👍👍
The best fish and chips we’ve had for a long time. The fish was delicious and fresh, the chips were perfect, and the pineapple fritters and donuts were yum! Super friendly people and quick service too! Will definitely be back here when we return to Mangonui. Cheers guys!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips. Great variety of different fish to choose from. Never oily, super crispy and cooked to perfection. Big sized portions as well, we never leave feeling hungry. And, the staff are friendly and courteous.
Recommended! Tasty fishman basket included scallops mussels and crab sticks, friendly stuff, can't like it more!

Really nice fresh and crispy chips, being from the UK we are super fussy about chips, but these were the best we have had in NZ yet. Potato fritters (or scallops as we call them) had very crispy and light batter. All a fair price for size and not at all greasy!
My hubby and I search high and low for amazing fish n chips and, believe me, we have tried a lot! Fresh & Tasty are the best we've ever had. The whanau down there are chatty, bubbly and happy. Absolutely loved it 💯
