I can't believe I have only discovered this place until tonight.
Don't be fooled by the Mongolian bbq name it's not sheep's heads and road kill like they would eat in the middle of Mongolia.
Food: fresh, delicious, great variety, HEAPS of choices as to what you can have the meat cooked in. You can have beef chicken fish bacon. And then cook it in olive oil or several other different oils and then add garlic or ginger or peppers if you want. Nice fresh raw food to make a salad. Add chips or spuds or pasta to your meal.You can have some soup to begin with if you want.The range of food I would say is not excessive but adequete.
The basics done right would sum up this place.The service is awesome, they are totally professional and make you feel welcome.
There is an x factor about this place. They are totally organised and professional. whoever's calling the shots round there really cares about the customer.
A great place to come if you have hungry mouths to feed. great value for money.

I rang up asking if I could change the time and it was fine! I like the service the girl in the front is friendly and the environment & music is nice, the food is great everything is clean finish plates taken once eaten overall I like it and my family did, were be going back for sure :)
Friendly staff from the moment I entered the restaurant. The place was clean and tidy. Good representation of food. Staff was available to help and always took our used plates straight after.
I enjoyed everything about the theatrics of eating here. I also enjoyed the option of controlling the portions of your own meal. Would appreciate if they offered more hot sauce options.
Our family favourite! Always guaranteed to taste good & is cooked well. Its real good value for money! Salads & breads could be better (more range) but it's what you would expect for the money paid. I especially love how they have fresh fish alongside the normal meats beef, pork, chicken etc. and there's hardly any long lines to wait in while your food is being cooked.
Came here for lunch. The food is good. Fresh. Restaurant is clean and spacious and the staff are friendly. Food is tasty. Especially love their pancakes and ice cream. Reasonable price for buffet. Happy we came.

Quite a busy place but spacious enough that your not bumping into people. Food was all fresh and cooked well. Staff were friendly. Food was replenished to satisfy the growing amount of customers. Great selection of food although I have been to other Mongolian BBQ places with more selection. All in all a lovely place

This would be my third time here and everytime I've gone the food is always fresh and the place is clean and tidy.
We had lunch there after my daughter's baptism and my family and I were quite happy with Khagan. A lot of my family have never been there before but they will definitely go back.
The staff are lovely and friendly too!
Definitely great value for money and highly recommended!
We also got our family photo taken by one of their staff with an instax camera and it's pegged onto their wall of fame which I think is a nice touch.
Overall a great cheap and cheerful meal!
My granddaughter absolutely loved it great place to choose what you want to eat.She loves getting her own meals and pancakes with ice cream 😉 my partner also loved the food and the staff are very pleasant.we will be back again soon🙌🙌🙌

Loved everything about this place! We booked 2weeks in advance for a farewell dinner. Got there and I gladly told the workers how I wanted table to be set up and they did it without hesitation 😊 great service and great food✅✅

Enjoyed my meal & ice cream as well as my family members who came along, first time we have been here.both girls at the front behind the counter were very friendly 😊 in saying that not enough variety and fresh like ghengis khan, the sauces seemed like they are watered down. Despite the few let downs Yes I would recommend this place to people if you are very hungry on a budget and want to get your money's worth.
Very good place!! Been here like 5 times and I love it. It's for the gains I eat like 7 plates n get my money's worth. Load on the sauces n drink heaps of water! Gengys is definitely bang for your buck!

At this restaurant you can also get someone to make your meal for you and you can watch while you are waiting.
The layout of the restaurant is really weird in my opinion. It would also be nice to see a variety of desserts!
Dined on a Friday night during the July school holidays. 3 adults & 2 kids. Good value for money. Kids enjoyed choosing what to eat. Queuing is a bit slow but we worked around it by getting salads first. Staff aren't very hospitable but the food was good so we didn't mind
First time here and pleasantly pleased.
Good selection of meat and vegetables to choose from and cooked well.
Desserts were a hit with the kids.
A down side was when it was busy there was a bit of a queue to get your selection cooked.

Could have had a bit more in the way of drink service but that's the only complaint. Good food and a good relaxed atmosphere.
A must visit .. Went there on Mother's Day and enjoyed their varieties ..would be so much fun if go with families ..we just loved it..the only problem was the long wait cuz of the long queue..
Love the food, a chance to be creative only downfall is the long qeue when it gets busy! A weekday might be quiet good value for mony, family friendly, enjoy dinning here
Great atmosphere, huge amount of choices and you can go back for seconds if you want. Great to watch the guys cooking the food that you have created.
My kids love eating here, as do i. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always happening. Love the food and the desert though my kids love eating all the ice cream.

The have huge assortment of starters, mains and desserts.
You can add your own choice of spices, flavourings and herbs to your meal.
The food is cooked right in front of your eyes within few minutes.
Overall I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Came here with family and we just eat and indulge. Great place to try your culinary skills:) we will always come here. The price is good for what you eat...

My favourite restaurant by faaar! I love love coming here! I'm never disappointed love the staff and the cooks are very friendly. I mean you get to pick your whole dish so if you are not familiar with stir fry type of food then that's your fault if it comes out yuk lol
They always have a variety of delicious sides and salads recommend curry eggs YUMMO!!!
Must make reservations! And pancakes cooked to order with ice cream awwwsome! lol

Yummy food and a good overall dining experience. Good to go in a group. The food has been fresh and full whenever I've gone. The place could do with a spruce up especially the toilets. I would keep an eye on kids around the dessert table using hands instead of utensils.
I went tonight and even though they were busy they managed to fit us in, nice fresh food and when supplies got low they stocked up straight away. This has not been my first visit but I will return again and again, honestly lovely experience eating out!
i went to Genghis with my partner for our anniversary and it was awesome and the food was delicious like OhhheMmGeee!yeah well great service yummy pancakes and ice cream yuummyuumm lol i am willing to head back there pretty soon lol
i went to gengy's on the 26th of June ,me and my partner had a great time. it seem to be a full house that night and the service from the waitress were very good and it was a nice clean place to eat.selecting the food was a bit confusing cause you didn't know what mixed well with each other,like meat and sauces you selected etc it would be nice if the place had some kind of menu to advise people types of dishes,they would like to create overall awesome place to dine
Great Value (promotion of $19.95 all you can eat), great food, loved the novelty of getting them to cook it in front of you and then to top it off great service. Was really happy with Gengy's in Manukau! Mongolian food at it's best.
By far my favourite restaurant. There is not much info about the procedure in place with these kinds of restaurants so here's a quick guide for those interested.
This is a buffet restaurant but with a twist. None of the food is cooked but getting it cooked is really quite simple.
First off grab a plate/bowl, fill it with all the ingredients your heart desires, then give it to the chef(s) at the end of the buffet table to cook for you. That's it. Easy aye? :)

As a family we are always looking for new and exciting places to eat and this has got to be the best we've found in a long time. I particularly liked the variety of food to chose from which covered every kind of taste. The service was efficient and friendly and in all it was a fun filling experience.. highly recommended.
Its tempting to keep returning. Fresh food, interesting experience and fun for the kids ... pancakes are divine ... service is very good, staff are professional and friendly ... worth every cent.
