Absolutely delightful Doreen looked after us during lunch yesterday, food was great service is superb ambiance just the surroundings can be improved however hey value for money and her cheerful nature and lovely food took us a leap and will certainly go there again. Calamari and lamb pizza and all food orders were generous and yummy! Top location still central to Manukau but not in busy & noisy shopping mall so you can leisurely talk on your business matters and or family matters or catch up with friends on a light charm on a bit more personal level. Will see you again, Doreen, you rock!
We ordered the Beef Burger & the Lamb Shank with Jalapeño Cheese Poppers on the side for the night.
The beef burger was cooked perfectly however nothing too special flavour-wise, just the average burger.
Lamb shank was cooked well & had a lot of flavour, definitely recommend that! Mushroom sauce was creamy & yummy with the tender lamb meat.
Jalapeño cheese poppers were also good & flavorful.
We were the only ones there on a Thursday night & it was pretty dead but luckily for us food did not take long at all to arrive, service was ok. Recommend if you want pub food but don’t want to spend over $25 for a meal.

Ordered food through uber from here. So many gluten free options, most I’ve had on uber. And the food was soooo good! I’ll definitely be getting more & if going to dinner know where I’ll be suggesting we go!

Always our go to place for dinner after a long week. Best service and best steak in town. While I'm enjoying my steak I'm always thinking about how much people at Broncos are missing out on.... not a fan of Broncos... steak and garlic bread are to die for 😋😊 thank you WTF!!
The food tasted lovely. We ordered the lamb pizza and Mediterranean fried rice, which was full of flavour. When I entered the bar, there was a lady who was holding a beer in her hand. She didn't say hello or smile. She looked pretty busy and avoided my glance even though it was not too busy. Probably was tired as we went in for a late lunch. Food service was quick. We also did not get cutlery or plates to share, which we normally have just received from waitresses at other restaurants without having to ask. The place looks quite old and could do with some sprucing. It is a big space so it would be good for events.
Excellent food and really generous servings! $10 Lamb Shank and $10 Bbq ribs are the best (Special menu is available 12pm-5pm Mon-Fri). We actually underestimated their servings and ordered a bit too much lol. We also had their calamari salad and wedges off their normal menu and were good too. Would definitely come back and try out the rest of their special menu! ☺️
This is a family (suitable for children) restaurant and bar located in a very old and tired building. The area is big. The service was excellent. Special mention to Ms Te Wairaemoana who was most helpful and friendly. We ordered a beef burger and a lamb pizza and both were fresh out of the oven. If only the venue was re-decorated a bit or touched up, I am sure this restaurant will be the talk of the town. Great food and serviced by people who are happy with their job to ensure guests are happy and satisfied. Highly recommended.
Ribbs were MIIIIIIIIINT AS! Those ribs just fell off the bone. Did smell abit funky when we walked in but that didn't stop us from enjoying our kai. Awesome staff 😊 We plan to be around again soon 😀
Top notch customer service. Friendly approachable staff. Awesome $10 lunch choices. Salad was not fresh but soggy and fries tasted like it was reheated and some half cooked however I was very happy with meat portions and how it was cooked. Seafood chowder was delicious. Interior could do with an update. There were two other couples there when we arrived. Even though food wasnt perfect but I think its such a great deal for money for bar food. Will definitely be returning for the $10 lunch special.
I didn't think there was anywhere decent to have a nice dinner in Manukau that wasn't fast food. That was until, we stepped into this place! We went on a Groupon voucher, but we will most certainly be back again! The food was presented pretty nicely, and was not only flavourful but were decent potions as well. Kehaia, our waitress, was lovely! She was patient, efficient and attentive and does her job really well. She deserves a pay rise!

Great food in terms of taste and portions! We had the loaded wedges, ribs and stuffed chicken. Presentation of the stuffed chicken was beautiful. We went on a day where they were understaffed so service was a bit slow, but totally understandable. Would come back here :)
Lunch started at 12, but by the time we left, there was only one more table of customers on a Sunday. We had BBQ chicken wings with a green salad. My wife had braised pork belly & I had sirloin steak served with fries, salad & creamy mushroom sauce. 10 pieces of whole chicken wings with salad was a generous entrée, but the taste of honey was only superficial. Anyway, the two mains were excellent - well-prepared, cooked & dished.

Had originally planned to meet a friend at 1981 not realising it had changed. We weren’t sure what to expect but decided to give WTF a try anyway.
We arrived for an early dinner & were pleasantly surprised - service was friendly & helpful without being OTT.
We tried the Pinot Noir & there was a good range. Chilled water was provided. We decided to start with some garlic pizza bread & it was really yum. Just enough garlic & cooked well.
We then went for the butterflied chicken & steak which can go either way (good or bad) - both were well cooked & well presented.
Not a bad spot really. Got quite crowded later - definitely a popular bar, but would return.

Thank you for your hospitality. Very welcoming as you enter. Wasn't so much people but maybe because it was a tuesday night, which is good as we didnt have to wait long. Ordered bbq chicken for entree and when it came, it almost looked like it was a main. Luckly it was shared between 2 and i must say it was very well cooked, as it was described, the sauce was so good you wanted to lick your fingers! But the main was on another level... ordered the full rack of pork ribs, which i didnt finish but the meat was nice and juicy and it fell off the bone. Besides the great meal, you can order drinks at the bar. Wouldn't mind at all going back again. iGuide Review.
Tables were bit sticky and small for two but the ribs are absolutely delicious and slide off the bone. Also loved the jalapeño poppers!
Love all our night outings here! Good prices for drinks, and finger food too. Bouncers & bar crew are nice and friendly. If only the DJ would play the songs a bit longer than ten seconds before changing them all throughout the night. Other than that, always a good time at WTF
Turned up for lunch on a Tuesday, we were the only ones there. The placed looked a bit dubious when its empty but decided to give it a go anyway. Had a beer and beef burger my friend had the ribs. The food was great for a lunch so we were very happy with our choices the barman was friendly and attentive. If there was any improvement I could comment on it would be the restrooms could do with a spruce up other than that, all good
Had dinner with Partner here, no lie! was really goooooood!! definitely recommend this place. Food didn't take too long to come out, waited for at least 15mins - 20mins to receive our meals but they had advised this from the beginning. lighting a bit dark but made the experience really nice and set the mood as well. Go here and eat! I did and so should you..
Had mothers day lunch here. Food was amazing ,had a 3 course meal and didn't have to wait long for our food. The staff were very friendly and our waitress was very caring and kept asking us if we were happy with our meals. Will defInitly come back.
Amazing experience over the weekend. Great staff and environment.Dj was on Point as well. I think it was DJ Lenny or something similar. What a waste of a good DJ as it wasn't very packed as I guess most of the regulars are still broke from the holidays or probably just got back to work for the year.
