We usually come here once or twice a month for the cheap half-rice, half-curry combo. The food is always hot and delicious. Quick service, and one can order his meal over-the-phone.
Fish and chips were surprisingly good. Butter chicken not salty enough but the naan was good. You get a huge amount of food for such a low price. I just stumbled upon this place after my visit to Hobbiton.
Lovely friendly lady is not able to offer the full menu at the moment. The curries, rices and naan were delicious. I will keep on going to support her. As it is tasty and the combo is great value for money. Looking forward to the chef returning in six to eight weeks from now.
Great curry. Don’t be put off by exterior. Sitting here with a mate from Birmingham UK and it’s as good as, if not better than, anything we can get there.
We had the Combo Deal (Butter Chicken + Basmati Rice + Naan ($10) & Chips & Curry ($5). Creamy curry and crispy chips. Extremely valuable for the price you are paying.

We shared the curry (butter chicken) lunch deal that had rice and naan and ordered an extra fish between two people. The curry was very yummy!! If you are visiting or passing through Matamata, you must try this place. It was a pleasant surprise for us.

One of the best tasting curry places ever! We were visiting from Melbourne and found this tiny gem from google maps. We had a combo deal for 10$ which included rice, butter naan and a choice of one curry! It was so tasty and such a bang for the buck deal!!! The crew there was also very friendly!! Wo
Very clean, very friendly. Our take aways came very quickly and they were delicious. Also, a take away with a loyalty programme......we'll be back for sure, definitely worth a drive.

Don't be put off by the exterior, it's a little boring but the food is tasty, delicious and fresh.
The masala tea was great and they were more than happy to put it in a takeaway for me.
This is by far the best Indian take away in Matamata.
The owner is very friendly, she allowed 11 of us to move and combined all the table together for us to dine in. She prepared snacks for us before our food is served. The curry are very nice especially butter chicken. Highly recommended
This is the best Indian curries that my wife and I have had over the last 20 years. The Fish Tikka Marsala and Kadai Chicken curries were beautifully flavoured and expertly spiced. Would recommend Chips N Curry to all who visit Matamata.
We were very late for dinner and a quick Google search landed me here. I must admit one of the best foods I have tried in a while, and the price is very reasonable. The lady at restaurant was very helpful and offered a table fan without even asking.
