Enjoyed a quiet mid-week lunch here. Cabinet options or Lunch menu options incl. nachos, tacos, dumplings, salads, a variety of burgers to choose from, etc. Two outdoor dining areas sit in. Beers on tap, or lots of locals with their take-away coffees. We enjoyed chicken burger and the pork burger. D
First time coming and it was great!! Lovely staff and building, very welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic, tasted absolutely amazing and the presentation was so pretty!! My coffee was also great which was a nice surprise :] Only thing I'd say is maybe play a bit calmer music to fit the vib
Good value for money and fast service. Coffee was lovely - would recommend coming here if you are after fish & chip shop type food. As a FYI - the owners have changed within the last few months.
The best home made baked goods I've had at a cafe - biggest, yummiest afghans! Best coffee. Tasty pizzas, really good breakfast with quality ingredients. Matarangi is lucky to have this place:)
Really good breakfast, excellent coffee and great vibe with cool music playing. Beautifully presented meals, they do half portions for kids. Waffles were well enjoyed!

Really loved going to Pipers everyday during our visit to Matarangi. The food & coffee was amazing! I also loved the bar, there was live music there one night and we all enjoyed sitting outside having a drink, it’s a great set up. Highly recommend!
The carrot cake here is out of this world good. Amazing texture, incredible icing. A must try when in Matarangi
