Had 3 pizzas. Quality average.
Dough a bit soft. Would expect it to be more crispy. No service -all is to order at the bar.
Lots of parking spots right in front of the restaurant.
Good tasting food , very decent portions , decent value for money.
What bedtime of the year to visit...
The stuff we're absolutely amazing! Can not praise them enough, from the bar staff to the waiting staff, to the staff in the kitchen..
A really nice cold beer after a long day is just what we needed!

Had a quick meal here on our way to Auckland. I had a venison salad and hubby had Muddy's special double burger (best burger we've tasted in the North Island so far!) And bonus: Kids ate for free (Mon-Wed). Coffee was good too. We will be back for sure!
Stop there for dinner on the way to Auckland. The mussels were nice but was very disappointed for the bangers and mash. Great mashed potato and gravy let down by poor quality sausages. Essentially the same sausages you would expect to buy at a community sausage sizzle outside Bunnings.
Best prawn pizza, lamb shanks, n burgers ! Drinks, added bonus.
Really nice spot by the river, especially on a sunny day - food was great, staff polite but not particularly friendly or smiley...
Would definitely return on our way through again.
Popped in with husband and daughter to the restaurant, which we were too early for, as it wasn't open until 5pm.
Hung out in the pub instead, had a really good seafood basket with chips.
Staff were friendly, and clearly knew the locals well.

Wow oh wow! Fabulous food! Ordered their famous banger and mash (swapped mash for veges) and looked at what I received! Top top top compliments!!!
Great place for a meal or drink stop. Great menu lots of choice. Meals are really good size and great value for money. Service was great, quick and consistent. Highly recommend trying. Lots of drink choice too with full bar. Clean and tidy. Lots of parking

Went here for dinner for the 1st time...i really enjoyed it... The staff were attentive and friendly... I had the lamb shank... It was very tasty but could of used a little more veges with it... The pasta was huge and my son enjoyed it alot, I would of preferred it not to have pesto... My Aunty real

Just stopped off here on the way to Te Awamutu from Auckland for a quick bite. We had the chicken burger and the lamb shank, both great. Higher quality than expected for a roadside stop off. Atmosphere was lovely, very comfortable and the staff were welcoming and polite.

food was delicious and service very quick but did forget one starter and were served this empty jug on plate - maybe for decoration?? in fairness though food tasted great - much better than expected when we pulled in and they appeared stressed by a big order at another table at the time.
Loved our meals here. Reasonable price great food and alcohol. Amazing service. Definitely be going back here again. Great selection of food friendly atmosphere. Just amazing place to stop in for a good meal. Amazing burger options.
