We get coffee from this esquires quite regularly, however I have previously refused to get breakfast there as i found out the eggs they used were not free range, I asked the manager if they were free range and she said no but then went on to ask me if I would like them free range and that she would consider getting them in. Today I called up to ask if they had free range eggs yet and they said yes! I was so delighted with this news I ordered eggs bene for brekky and the chai latte was delicious. Thank you so much Esquires for supporting free range hens (:
Regularly stop here on my way up to Auckland. The service is always consistent and it's nothing fancy but simple is always good IMO. Abit pricey but I rate the eggs bene with salmon!!

Great selection of food. The coffee was just how we like it. The cronut was delicious as was the lemon tart too. As the old saying goes, fine food fast. The staff were friendly and the table service could not be faulted. We would call here again.

An obligatory stop always!!! Just the right spot for either on the way in to Auckland or out of it! Love their mammoth large size cups of deliciousness. Haven't had a bad one yet. Always a fabulous cappuccino from these experts. Food is delightful. Friendly helpful team who are always welcoming & happy to help. Just discovered that they have an App which means I will be able to pre order my next one! Stoked because it automatically linked to my existing card easily. No loss of points at all. Can't wait for my next visit!

Exceptional cafè/diner with a wide range of food and drinks. They staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. They provide welcoming, serene atmosphere.
The coffee and teas are superb, well brewed and well presented. A great place to stop and revive, have a cuppa, have a meal, or meet people socially and professionally.
The breakfast menu is broad and tasty, while the lunch menue is very diverse with a range of healthy alternatives. The pastries and desserts are devine.
I would highly recommend this Cafè.
Best coffee!! Awesome owner friendly always. Had new chef and meal was delicious! Longer wait when they’re busy but I don’t mind. Hard to put the right amount of staff on these days. Their friendliness makes up for it.

We stopped at mercer for a coffee on our way to Auckland city from Tauranga. Very polite service, great coffee and quick service despite there being 2 people on with lots of customers. We stopped there again on the way out and the Owner remembered our order from the previous 2 days? Once again was very friendly. Great coffee and jat was lovely. Thank you 😊
