Stopped in for morning tea. The whitebait sandwiches were fabulous, coffee great and the mango smoothie was wonderful. Quick service, and staff were friendly even though they were quite busy.

I have not stayed over night in Mokau or experienced the welcoming tranquility of this place. It's my normal point of call to stop at the restaurant when travelling. I've got to tell you the pies are massive and food other wise is sure to please. I love Mokau.

Had a Fish and chips and some burgers here, food was very delicious especially scotch burger, very small portion of fries for 6 💵 restaurant is next to very busy road so expect heavy traffic, you can find shop in it where you can buy basic needs.

What a place!!! Awesome is an understatement. Very busy place while we were there on a murky rainy day, but staff were pleasant & polite, helpful & attentive to all Customers. Had a toastie & it was very tasty & served very quickly, esp given the queues. Great place for a Driver Reviver! Tempted to try their whitebait fritters, they sound so yummy, maybe next time 😊

Stopped in for lunch on way home from New Plymouth. Fresh venison burgers, fresh fish burger & nice chips. A little expensive but when yummy & nice staff don't mind.

25th Feb 2023... Camped down the road.. Called in for lunch 5 stars as the food was so yummy... I had a chicken with brie bacon chicken and cranberry sauce... Mouth watering.. Whitebait laden omelets and big wedges and sour cream... No dinner tonight as so filling... Lovely service as well... So recommend... Enjoy

No whitebait but great service. We waited to enjoy breakfast here on the drive out of New Plymouth on the promise of a whitebait menu. There is currently no whitebait. But the service was still awesome.

Stayed behind the Inn at the camp ground and feasted on their legendary whitebait fritters the size of dinner plates. Altogether an excellent quiet 2 days away from home relaxing
