I stopped in and just got a steak and cheese pie (was tempted to get a sit down lunch as pricing was good), as was in a rush. It was one of the best pies I have ever had, and the price was quite reasonable with the way stores are now.
Arrived 10 minutes before closing and still had well made fish and chips and a cheese burger. Burger patty was good size, juicy and hot and not one of the flat cardboard ones you get in most takeaways. Sat outside on the table and chairs in the dark and enjoyed our meal.
Great friendly cafe for a quick and easy stop off when travelling. It was a cold day and everyone seemed to be ordering the take aways so we followed the trend and ordered hot chips and hot dogs. All the food was yummy and reasonably priced and service was quick. Would recommend.
Great little cafe. I always stop here when passing through. I use the electric car charger at Mokau.
I ordered the old fashioned cheesecake last time, although it did not appear to have any kind of ‘cheese’ or dairy inside it. It was dry and tasty.

Friendly service in a basic cafe setting. Fresh sandwiches and the nicest fruit muffins.
The service was good and the food was hot, tasty and well priced. We tried the mini mince pie and beef nachos. The only down side is the cafe is on a highway so there’s not much to look at

Toasted sandwiches were delicious, conveniently located near the public toilets on the main road.
Perfect stop ovee when traveling along the west coast. Not many cafes along the state highway so this place is a gem. Public toilets are just beside as well so its a convenient location.
Pretty good, albeit I suppose there never seems to be enough whitebait in any fritter is there.......

Stopped in for a much needed break on the trip from new Plymouth to AKL. The white bait fritters are fantastic 😀. Coffee ☕ excellent too. Friendly fast service, easy parking 🅿, great times.
A great little find! The staff were friendly! We had a Date and Orange Scone, an Iced Coffee an Iced Americano! The scone was so light and delicious and the drinks were amazing! Will return when we have another trip to New Plymouth!

I live here in mokau. I am for ever grateful for their customer service the daughter is an amazing service attendant. Definitely call in and have a look. It's quite an appealing Lil Cafe food bar
They don't have it on the menu but if you know who to ask you can get a giant full breakfast.
