Came by before dinner to have their Oyster pie. There were quite a few interesting items on the menu too so we grabbed a few more to share, including the Fujian fishballs and the brown sugar mantou. Would probably have grabbed more if we weren't having dinner an hour later.
The oyster pie was quite big and really crispy. It was full of veggies and had one small oyster inside. I found the filling to be a bit too sour for my liking. The Fujian fishballs were delicious. The fishballs were stuffed with mince and the soup was really tasty. It also came with vermicelli as a bonus. I also quite like the brown sugar mantou. It was a lot bigger than I was expecting and also a lot less sweet. It was nice and fluffy and really nice when it was still quite warm.
Although they sell snacks, they also have proper dishes on the menu. The place is quite big and the service was friendly.
This has been one of my favourite place to hang out with a few colleagues past couple of years. I like their wontons as well as their beef noodles. The fried noodles are good too as long as you tell them to put less oil and less salt when you order.
Taste 4/5
Service 3.5/5
Ambiance 3/5
Value (price and portion size) 4.5/5
Awesome suggestion from a friend, cheap eats at its best, portion sizes were great. Would highly suggest visiting this place if your in the area!!
Conveniently located with plenty of parking on the opposite side.
They do really good pastry dishes including dumplings, dry noodles and noodle soups. Recommended if you want a quick feed as they are pretty fast too.
One of our favourite noodles places. Tonight we had mushrooms and mince noodles, mini Wontons noodles, spicy beef and tripe dish, beef and cucumber cold noodles and braised pork belly. The portions are generous and feed 4 adults and a kid with left overs. My fav is the beef and cucumber cold noodles. Slightly spicy with vinegary nutty sauce. Yum!
My kids love the noodles here, and it's only $5. That's moneies worth! ordered spicy pig kidney for my husband, and he said it's bit sour, vege was good.
Monies worth noodles. $5 and the kids loved it.
The kidney has lots of pieces but a bit too sour for my liking. Veges were nice. I ate most of it in one go.

We were just looking for a place to eat at dominion when we stumbled upon this chinese restaurant. I immediately checked the rating on zomato, since the rating was 4 (as of october 13), thought we’d give it a try. We just loved everything that we ordered.. the dumplings were my favourite! Shrimps were fresh! We would def come back and would recommend everyone to try this place.
If you like dumplings, you need to visit. A great spot for comfort food in Auckland. The dry noodles with mushroom and pickle are a personal favourite.
I loved the mini wontons!!! Even though I ordered the small size ($6) there were a lot of wontons
The soup was rich in flavour also :)
The lamb skewer is flavoured with cumin so it smells really nice
And the price is really friendly❤️
Will definitely come back again!
We had dinner here recently. It was a small restaurant but
pleasant. Service was friendly. The food was tasty and with
a good serving for the price. If you are keen on noodles, try
this place. You will not be disappointed.
Will definitely be back.
Great Chinese tradittional food. Love the skewers, the steamed buns and the noddles. All very tasty and full of nice spices. just couldn't stip eating. Nice service.
The dumplings were really nice, and the sauce was not too sweet compared to other places. We got the chicken and mushroom dumplings with chilli sauce.
Our favourite was the fried taro balls, they were crunchy on the outside, and had mochi wrapped around some sweet taro filling. They were perfectly made.
We also had peanut saucy noodles, they weren’t expensive, and were really good.
Love this place. If u think eden noodle house has the best saucy dumplings. You need to try this place!! It has an extra hint of ginger in the sauce making it extra flavourful!!! Their lamb skewers are also meaty and yummy!!
A routine place for me to buy takeaways. Also sit in for lunch and dinner several times. The serve for food was very big with reasonable price. The service was very fast and the menu has covered a wide range of Chinese food and snacks.
I was a bit worried about the cleanness of this place and the cooking area was connected to outside and it could be seen the kitchen was not in a good hygiene standard. Stacked of goods were piled at the corner, not looking ordered.
Discovered this on a quest for some authentic chinese food. We don't usually come to this part of Dominion rd but want to try some places we have not tried before.
We got the dan dan noodle soup, the pig trotters with taro and 2 chicken heart skewers.
I loved the aniseed sauce on the trotters. It was super tasty especially with some added black vinegar.
The dan dan noodles is not the best I've had but still very tasty.
By far the best dumplings in Auckland. My favorite is the Golden Pork and Corn dumplings. It is fried and it's very tasty. Forget about dumplings from the night market. Those are rubbish. Try it here and you won't be disappointed.
This is one of the best restaurants on Dominion Road. The staff and owners are extremely friendly, I am always greeted no matter how busy they were in the restaurant. The food is tasty and cheap, comes with generous servings. Everything on the menu can be altered to suit the different dietary requirements.A must try for Chinese food lovers.
Love the spicy lamb kebabs, dumplings in spicy sauce and so much more. Good people who try hard to make you welcome. Popular at lunch time, especially with their great dumplings
Been coming to this place quite frequently. Good variety of food on offer at very reasonable price and tasted good too.

Hands down the sweetest people running this place. It's a pleasure to be served by these seemingly enthusiastic people who love to serve great food.
I've not tried a single item so far that wasn't delicious, especially the dumplings in chilli sauce. Currently, I can think of no other place that provides better food for this amount of money.
First time trying authentic Fujian food, so we ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (mild spicy), Sweet Potato Balls, Mini Buns, and the Potato Pies. The beef from the spicy noodle soup was nice and soft. The sweet potato balls are one of the popular delicacies of Fujian, China. The outer skin had a soft and chewy texture, and on the inside consisted of a ball of meat with veges. The mini pork buns were so good, I'd be so keen to order that again! The potato pie was a bit greasy, but best eaten when it's nice and hot! Awesome food.
Great value for money in terms of affordability, taste, speed and service.
The place seems to be less known compared to other Chinese restaurants on dominion Rd but the quality of food and overall experience of this place is definitely above average.
Go-to menus include the hot and spicy beef noodle soup, spicy dumplings, and special Fujian style noodles. Portions are generous it is often enough to get 2 dishes for 3 people
I love, love this place!! The owners are so friendly, the portions are big, prices are cheap, and they serve really fast! I always come here after work for a quick meal when I'm just too tired to go home and cook. The mini wontons here are life!! I've had this in China during my last visit a few years ago and they were so good! The texture is just so interesting, not sure what they marinate the meat with but I just find them very nice to eat. I've always craved them on occasions, when this place opened up I just had to come. The soup broth is also nice, those who like clear soups will enjoy this (also do try their shredded chicken noodle soup). The lamb skewers are much better than other places in the neighborhood, as the meat used are better and more lean (and you aren't just paying for a stick of fat like some other places). The dumplings in spicy sauce were okay, I felt like the sauces could have more flavours. The other dish I really like is the Fujian style fried noodles, they were very saucy and full of flavour. So do come here if you're down for a quick meal or just simply feel like some cheap Chinese food :)
Amazing value and really tasty food. The dumplings were really, really good as was the pickled potato dish . A great place to share dishes with friends.
Had the Fijian fried noodles and dumplings in spicy sauce. We were pleasantly surprised. Both dishes were packed with flavour and a delight to the senses. Dumplings had a generous amount of filling, which is against the norm these days. Bold Flavours and great texture. This is my first time having Fijian fried noodles, boy have I been missing out. This is great if you like saucy noodles. The Flavours are difficult to describe. These are definitely worth a try. Food came out quite fast. Excellent service.
Overall I give this an 8.46/10
I had steamed vegetable and egg dumplings. Lamb kebabs, and chicken heart kebabs. The dumplings had cabbage, carrot, mushroom, vermicelli glass noodles, and ginger - no egg, though which was slightly disappointing but they still tasted great. The kebabs were spiced with roasted cumin and smolderingly spicy dried chili. The menu is huge so lots of stuff to try. I'll be back.
I’ve been going to this place for years and it’s consistently good, my personal favourites on the menu are the cucumber salad (which is one of the best in the city in my opinion), the peanut paste noodles (with the handmade noodles instead of the regular noodles) and the dumplings in spicy sauce. Everything is really tasty and it’s great value as well. I’d love to try out some more things on the menu and would highly recommend coming here for a quick, cheap and tasty lunch or dinner. I took my friends here a couple of weeks ago and we’ve been back two more times in the last month. There’s also lots of parking available and the service is efficient and reliable.
Located on Dominion Road across the road from Countdown and close to Eden Park, so good option before a game. Lots of options on the menu, which is in Chinese and English. Good value for money and the portions are generous. Taste wise, the flavours are ok, nothing fancy but will full you up.
We came to this place serveral times for lunch and dinner. It was a small restaurant but pleasant. Service was friendly. The food was tasty and with
a reasonable serving for the price. If you are keen on noodles, try
this place. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place!! It's a shame that I got to try them out sooo late!!! This place makes decent and authentic ShaXian snack which reminds me so much of my hometown. I was about to cry when I first tasted them lol. It's a must try for people who are originally from Fujian and for those who are wondering what Shaxian would be taste like!! It won't let you down!! :)
Popped in late evening , friendly service a polite, served quickly and food arrived fresh and fast.
Wontons, firm and small, nice chicken broth, spicy dumplings little dry buy sauce was spot on, the noodle su mai was extremely well done.

Had chicken fried noodles, and chicken mushroom dumpling. Very nice. Pricing also good.
Decent food with decent price. Went with my friends and they were amazed by both of the quantity and the quality of the food there. I had the soy sauce Chicken leg with rice. Yummmmm n bloated lol
Mini wonton soup is my favourite. Must-eat every time.
Cheap eats and gigantic potion and boss r super friendly even kindly remind us don’t order too much
The best hand cut noodles, pan fried dumplings and bursting Fujian fish balls!!
Tasty and and food comes pretty quickly, very satisfied when I was starving.
Some of the best Chinese/Fujian food iv had. The chicken gizzard skewers are amazing!
