BEST CROISSANTS IN AUCKLAND ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I personally liked the plain once more than the flavoured ones.
The plain ones are still super crunchy even if you get it for take away and eat later. The fillings for flavoured ones can be quite sweet.
The only downside to this shop is they sell out too fast..!! ๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ฅน
Lovely pastry range when theyโre not sold out! Nicely crusted with a decent amount of filling. Black sesame was yum, almond is pretty decent. Still holding the spot for the top pastry bakery out there but mibo is up there! Customer service could be a touch friendlier imo (but maybe it was just on the day, that particular hour ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ) and not feel like being judged in their small cafe space for taking a hot minute to choose.
So I got an almond croissant for 8 NZD and a pistachio croissant for 8.5 NZD. At first, I intended to have these babies for dine-in with a coffee, but since the place was full (I think I arrived at around 12-1 pm?), another takeaway, then.
First, the almond croissant. Solid 8.5/10. The shell was still crunchy even after it got hit by Auckland's strong winds during my way back to the apartment. Gotta say I love the filling they used here, smooth almond-flavored cream with very moderate sweetness. And I think they also put fine grinds of almonds too? Overall, the croissant macthed perfectly with my homemade iced latte.
The pistachio croissant was quite similar in terms of sweetness/taste. Although, I discovered that the shell was slightly better, crunchier, and more solid than the almond one (?) might be just my feeling tho. But anyway, I can tell that they used real grinded pistachio nuts in the filling. Because I actually bit a small chunk of pistachio nut that was sooo hard lol. But it's alright, 8.5/10 ๐
Overall, for this price point, these are solid croissants.
Did I fall asleep and wake up in Melbourne? These are the best croissants this side of the Tasman. Super friendly service, great sandwiches, pies and great coffee, too!
Was lucky to go in when it was quiet, although parking is so hard in this area! I just went in to grab a Pistachio croissant to-go, but even within the few mins service was friendly. I asked for a recommendation on the croissants and I am so glad I chose the recommbeded pistachio croissant, lots of filling inside, not too hard on the outside! The best one yet. Theres a few tables inside and outside.
A popular cafe near the bus station. Most people said they served various high-quality croissants that were indeed delicious. However, for me the best croissant in Auckland is Receptionist.
(Thoughts and impressions based on personal experience, as everyone's feelings may vary. Pure sharing.)

๐ฅ Almond Croissant $8
Tastiness๐๐๐๐๐
๐ฎImpressions๐ฎ Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a flaky exterior and a soft bread texture. The croissant is lightly brushed with maple syrup, topped with toasted almond slices and powdered sugar. Each bite is pure bliss! ๐

๐ฎImpressions๐ฎ Crispy on the outside, incredibly soft in texture, and filled with a rich black sesame filling! Absolutely delicious!
๐ Bacon Hamburger
Tastiness๐๐๐๐๐
๐ฎImpressions๐ฎ Although the burger may look ordinary at first, it's a revelation once you take a bite! The bread has a hint of sea salt, and the fluffy scrambled egg, paired with the refreshing and appetizing sweet chili sauce, is extremely satisfying! Truly enjoyable!

Will Visit Again๐๐๐๐๐
Visited Mibo today, highly recommended by a friend, and it was bustling with people! There are limited indoor seating options, but as soon as you enter, you're greeted by the delightful aroma of croissants. If you're in Auckland, you must give it a try! It's best to arrive before 10 a.m., as popular flavors tend to sell out quickly!
The best croissant Iโve ever had in New Zealand
! So crunchy outside and soft inside.
The coffee is okay, but the croissants are astonishing!
Amazing bakery with really nice croissants ๐ฅ baked fresh. Popped by last week and will defs go again.
Delicious pastries. One of the best croissants I have had in Auckland. Crunchy, flaky, dense, flavorful croissants. The pistachio croissant was very good. Almond croissant was slightly sweeter than pistachio, but still good. Their croissants were very buttery that you could taste the butter in your mouth for quite a long time. Their other pastries were good too. Coffee was great. Service was okay, could be a bit friendlier.
I know the main squeeze here is the to die for croissants but the cookies are too! ๐ Not to be forgotten, especially if you happen to see them popped fresh from the oven!
Best Croissants hands down!
Lovely atmosphere, however limited seating options given how busy the place is.
Heaps of different croissant variants - highly recommend the pistachio and black seasame ones. Their sausage rolls are delicious too.
Also have good coffee aswell.
Often popular items are sold out, so would recommend going early as soon as it opens to get first dibs!
Have you ever had the fake pistachio paste that is bright green and just taste fake? Well, that isn't the case of pistachio croissant from MIBO! Wow! It is amazing, so rich! Tastes like baklava met croissant, lots of real pistachio nuts. You won't find anything like it in whole NZ!
The coffee is also 10/10! Def will be back for more! Btw they don't really show prices but for oat coffee, 2 pastries I paid around $20. Ain't cheap but worth it!
Was recommended this place by a family member and I have to say it is one of the better bakeries available. I did not get to try the coffee but the savoury and sweet croissants were delicious. On the pricey side where we paid $7 NZD for a plain croissant and $8-$9 NZD for the flavoured ones where we tried the sesame paste, cheese, pistachio, chocolate caramel and almond flavoured. Visited on a Sunday where it seems to be a busy cafe with people coming in and out. Highly recommend if you are after some yummy croissant ๐ฅ
I stopped by to grab some baked treats for a birthday. They had a few tables inside and outside of the shop. It was quite small though. There were lots of savoury and sweet options available. I grabbed an apple danish for them and an almond croissant for myself. The almond croissant was made really well. It was really flakey and very moreish. The frangipane inside was sweet and nuttly and complemented the croissant really well. It was really delicious and would've easily gotten more had I know how addicitve they were.
I was told that the apple danish was made really well and that there wasn't enough of the delicious caramel. It is definitely a hidden gem that is worth finding.
Edit: Tried the pistachio, and honey sea salt croissant and both were reall nice. Also tried a pie and the puff and they were also nice.
Best pistachio croissant! It is pricey, but it is delicious

Forgot to take photo of my mince and cheese pie. Pie was delicious.
The pastry and desserts are delicious too. Sweetness, texture and flavours on point.

Neat spot, worth the trip for sure ๐๐ป
The bakers really seemed to know what they were doing, the coffee was a bit milky but okay. The 'monkey' and almond croissant was very delicious.
However not once during my time in the store (around 11am) did I receive a friendly greeting from any of the 5-6 employees, or even a smile.
Not saying everyone in hospo needs to be friendly or smile at everyone, but it would feel nice! Just an opinion :)
