Absolutely wonderful and friendly service by staff there. Place was fully booked for dinner. The Tricolore Gnocchi was perfectly cooked. First time I drank Italian Menabrea Bionda (Lager) and loved it! Tiramisu was also good.
Came here for a birthday dinner. Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with the tables packed quite close together. We could imagine ourselves in a small Italian town in a restaurant that's been operating forever.

Hands down the BEST meal we have had in a long time! Our first visit to Mamma Mia and we will definitely be back again. The food was consistently amazing, best pasta I’ve had. Popped in here Friday night after we arrived from Auckland. We were lucky enough to be squeezed in as all tables were reserved. The food was outstanding. Fantastic authentic Italian restaurant, great food and wine options. Generous portions, the best and largest eye fillet I have ever eaten. If you are looking for a true Italian restaurant with all the options then you need to try Mamma Mia.
As locals we are spoilt for choice at the Mt. Momma Mia is a great Italian restaurant, best steaks at the Mt, super friendly service. Regulars, Recommend! Suggest you book ahead especially in busy times.

Awesome experience. I think I had the best steak of my life last Saturday night, and everyone else in our party was very satisfied too. Friendly staff, diverse menu of tasty choices, perfectly cooked and presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wow fantastic, really want to take the Chef home to do my cooking, you must go there. The customer service is wonderful, made you feel so welcome and it was that good I went back the next night.

We came to this restaurant at least 8 years ago and had a very nice meal. We came back down for a visit and thought that we would try again. I have to say that the meal exceeded our expectations. My eye fillet was absolutely delicious and cooked just perfectly medium rare. My wife had a cabonara.

The local clerk recommended this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the food is great and not too expensive. We will definitely go back there next time we visit Mount Maunganui.
