These were the best chips I had ever had in my entire life. I was visiting Tauranga for the weekend and chose this place for dinner for two of those nights, best decision I had ever made. Sure the chips are a little more expensive than back in Christchurch but they are so worth it, and you get 4 different options of chips to choose from being; Fresh Cut Potato, Shoestring, Kumara and Wedges all for $5 a scoop.
They had the best battered sausage I've ever had and they also sell this little Lasagna Square for $3 and I miss that more than anything now that I'm back home, it was so delicious.
The owner was also really cool and struck a good conversation and hit me with a compliment towards my wallet, I've never felt more connected to a fish and chip shop in my life and that was just in 2 days. I had been shopping at one other fish and chip shop for nearly 2 decades and I don't nearly have enough of a positive connection with them as I did with the guys here.
I want to go back to Tauranga just for this store.

This place is conveniently located near the heart of Mount Manganui. Finally a place that does great burgers. The chips we're alright, but the burgers were fantastic. Reasonable wait for the food which is alright if you're prepared
Great little fish and chip takeaway shop. The fish was fresh and the portions were reasonable, however, they did get one of the orders mixed up giving us battered instead of crumbed fish. That said the food was still delicious and very cheap. Would go back again.
Great fish n chips. Crumbled fish was top notch, hot dogs unfortunately came with sauce on and we don't like sauce. Pretty great overall.

Great fish and chips, fish battered perfectly, chips could be crispier, oysters are delicious. Definitely recommend.

We had their fish burger, King burger, a scoop of chips 2 sauces and the cute wee family even threw in a free hot dog!!
The hot dog was icing on the cake of the overall flavour and effort put into the service.
I don't enjoy dripping in grease food and this was far from that.

Ordered a 9 dollar special that came with a hamburger. Was expecting the normal burger you'd get at any other takeaway, but when I got home I found out they make their own patties! And what an amazing pattie. Went back a week later to try the notorious King burger, for 15 dollars. And was definitely not let down. Sooo good 👍
