Went in for an impromptu lunch today with a friend.
Aesthetically the place is so cute with some very good vibes.
I had the lamb quesadilla and a watermelon and cherry soda (every quesadilla comes with a complimentary soda). They were DELISH and actually quite filling.
My friend had the pork spark ribs and potato gravas which were also delicious.
I definitely recommend the dishes we tried and I'm looking forward to coming in to try more as well as the cocktails.
ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS IVE EVER HAD! We ordered the pulled pork burger and chicken quesadilla. Both were extraordinary and it was a delicious meal. The pork was sweet and the sauces were delicious. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was warm and had lovely decor.
Had a pleasant time at Mexico with my friends. It was the first time eating at this restaurant and I wasnβt disappointed. We managed to order from the lunch specials menu (degustacion, two tacos and pork belly burger). Their fried chicken is very nice and has a little spice to it. Although my friend is not a fan of spicy foods, she enjoyed the pork belly burger. What is really interesting is their sofa drinks! Each of us had a different flavour which was absolutely lovely. The staff were wonderful, giving great tips on what we should have and were timely in giving us our food.
10/10 would recommend.
PS: I would advise getting two tacos if you are hungry.

Amazing service from the staff. Food was really good and it came pretty fast even though it was really busy. We ordered the ribs, the fried chicken, beef taco, broccoli and the salsa with chips. They were all pretty good, happy with what we got. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but theyβre pretty good.
Loved with vibe of this place. You hv great options and portion size is pretty decent. And they do serve some amazing cocktails.
Ok but could this place get any better? Nope! I walked in last night with a mate for dinner (was late night shopping so usually busy). Seated quickly. Ordered the usual corn chips, fried chicken (actually the best-fried chicken of life) and the chicken quesadillas. Corn chips came out within 5 minutes, and the mains followed less than 10 minutes after ordering. 11/10 amazing service, and 20/10 amazing food!
Mexico is great for when you're craving tacos and quesadillas. I'm not great with spice, so I usually gravitate towards their crisp piping hot quesadillas. I also find the portions very generous and filling, and usually they have some interesting combinations of flavours.
This time I had a go with the soft shell tacos and they were delicious and not too spicy for me. The pan fried fish was pungent with capers and sauce gribiche, but the bacon added a meaty element to the flavours. The pork was my favourite though, with pineapple and green tomato. It was a refreshing follow-up to the taco.
I love their house sodas as well. My new favourite is probably the watermelon and hibiscus now. It comes out with a beautiful almost blackcurrant colour, but you can really smell the hibiscus straight away. When you ship though, it's overwhelmingly watermelon and slightly sweet. Delicious.
We just walked in for dinner on a Saturday night, no booking, put our name on the waiting list and go shopping..... very convenient just like in Asia, then received their call a table is ready.
Been here for lunch before, already impressed by the food and services, especially the environment; this time not disappointed at all, extremely friendly staffs make you feel welcome, food is delicious, this restaurant is always on my list.

I went on a Wednesday for lunch here with my family. The service was very fast, the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely amazing, may look like the portions are small but they are very filling!

I came here for lunch but I can see this as a good place to start a great night out.
Went here again and I just keeping falling more and more in love with it. Everything from the ambience to the servers is just excelente, like well done u really got me hooked on this place. Okay so to break it down, I used the mexico app to get free chips or totopos, also when u sign up u get a $10 voucher. Anyway I brought quesadillas and tacos to share with a friend. Not gonna lie, canβt remember what taco I had, but at this point Iβve tried three of them and Iβm just gonna come out and say that any taco u get is gonna be absolutely mind blowing. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, the tacos are small, very small. Remember u are paying at mexico not for the quantity but the quality, because when u really think about it, $7 for a taco is crazy right?? Ludicrous!! But actually a small price to pay for a little self care for ur tastebuds. And thatβs fact.
A nice establishment for a quick bit or a proper meal. They have a nice selection of drinks, snack food and proper dishes. I quite enjoyed their fried chicken.
An awesome restaurant for delicious Mexican food and drink. The restaurant looked beautiful and the atmosphere was great. Staff were very friendly if somewhat inefficient and the menu offered a great range of dishes. I ordered a fish taco (which was on the specials board for the day), prawn quesadilla and a crispy soft-shell crab taco. I also tried different margarita flavours which were great, especially the original- The OG Mexico margarita. Although the meals tasted delicious, they were quite small and I had to order my extra dish after I had eaten to feel full and satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place and would go there again to try the other dishes they have on offer.

I want to give Mexico a five star! The staff are so lovely. I normally don't eat Mexican food a lot, basically I just order some tacos, corn chips with avocado source, these kind of things. When I start looking into the menus, I really don't know what to order, everything looks a little bit odd (in a good way) and interesting, like I'm not sure how it will taste like for beef cheek + coffee. The waitress helped me a lot on ordering, she gave me some recommendations and all her suggested dishes are 100% delicious! I'll come back to Mexico again and again in the future, promise!

The food was above average and the service was excellent, not to mention the food is served extremely quick.
Some stand out dishes from our dinner were the 3 cheese quesadilla, great balance of flavours. Salsa with it was great. Fried chicken was excellent (how could it not be?). Spicy with flavours that pop in your mouth.
They also have a wide range of drinks so if cocktails or tequila is your thing it's worth paying Mexico a visit.
Highly recommend booking as the restaurant is quite busy.
I dine here often - what really sets them above for me is the margaritas then the food..the chicken and the beetroot dip are my favs .. Although once we went to buy drinks at 830 and they wouldnβt let us in cos they were closing? Felt really early to be turned away..
We still go back all the time because itβs jut that good.

Loved this place and the deco. Staff were friendly and willing to help out with making difficult alchol decisions. Food was good, service was up to par. Food was a bit slow coming out however it was busy so understandable.
Came here for dinner with my friends. Such a beautiful place. The atmosphere is really lovely. Dim lighting to give some privacy, but was very busy when we came, so it was a bit loud but not too much of a worry.
The service we received was lovely. Each waiter and waitress served us so well.
I ordered the Fried Chicken and the to drink was the blood orange and rosemary. My fried chicken was beautiful. Full of flavour and came with two dips. Really delicious. The blood orange drink was quite nice. Didnβt have a strong taste which was perfect. Tasted really good.
The ambience is amazing. Loved the ornament, paintings, and pictures which they had displayed around the restaurant. The restaurant was busy but it never felt like we were too close to someone else. Overall my experience was wondering.

Love the vibe from this pl - had the fish soft shell taco which is a bargain at $7 - so fresh and tasty. Had a couple margarita carafes which great for sharing and only $20- had the original and a dark plum and cinnamon one which was delish.
Firstly we were standing at the entrance nobody acknowledged us then one waiter came and said went be long and long was 11 min then order took ages, our next table guys ordered food after us and their food came before us and when they finished their food then our order came. When asked why our food was so late then their was no explanation just sorry. Terrible service. But at the end Holly the manager came and apologised so nicely and compensated us. The mannerism of Holly was really nice which turned our experience. Food as usual was awesome

Yum! First time to Mexico and impressed by the flavour. Really good combination of sour, salty, and sweet.
We ordered a few different dishes and my favourite would be the beetroot dip, soo soo good, especially with the crunch from cricket tortilla. Least impressed by the beef tacos, flavour was good but found the meat a little too tough.
Service was really good too. Friendly and efficient. Food came out fast.
Liking the atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

The staffs were super friendly & accommodating.
We got a large jar of sangria to share. It was punchy and refreshing, and it was totally worth the price, as it contained about 5 servings!
We also got a couple of sides to share. The potatoes and the fried chicken were both nice and crispy, with divine dipping sauces! My other friend also enjoyed her taco. The only complaint doing bf that the serving sizes were all quite small, so I highly recommend ordering quit a few plates.
I have heard amazing things about their cocktails too, and would be kenn to come back to try!
Mexico's vibe is what you're there for. Their Tacos, Fried Chicken, Quesadilla, Margaritas, Guacamole are second... But could be first for some :)

I appreciated the attention to detail when it came to kids. They managed to pull out the colouring pencils and activity papers out to keep them occupied.

Ok let's talk about the staff. (Sigh) I hate giving bad reviews but I hope this will encourage the company to be a bit more better in the future.
We got interrupted so many times, almost to a point like the waiter just wanted us to leave. I almost felt like the waitress did not enjoy her job because she was very sarcastic with her responses. I've never wanted to get up and slap the shit out of the someone so hard like the way I wanted to with her. The staff on the floor seemed underwelmed and uninterested with their customers and job. What ever it is, something is making them stress or agitated. I'm hoping it's not the boss or supervisors.
Would I go back? Only if I know I'm going to drink more than eat. It's tapas remember.
As authentic as their name! Ordered the original Mexico city margarita, lychee & chili salt margarita, chicken quesadillas and prawn cocktail with yellow corn chips! Each order was just perfect, loved the Prawn cocktail and their margaritas! The staff is super friendly and warm, the ambience is just right too! one suggestion for chicken quesadillas - please take down the potatoes, they didnβt go well and made the dish taste go disarray!! Overall great value for money! Will come here again for sure!

The interior is beautiful . The walls filled with colourful Mexicana knick knacks, Day of the Dead artwork, candles on the table and the lights dimmed low.
Our waiter (Tom, cause we asked for his name) was just on point! Explained the menu to us, gave us good recommendations and overall made us felt very welcomed! Which made us love this place even more.
The soft shell fish taco's scored loads of points with us. Succulent and well seasoned flesh, with just the right amount of cilantro and sauce yummmm!

Visited for lunch with family, got some quesadillas and guacamole dip to start. The brocollini quesadilla was delicious and the onion crema was such a highlight. The waitress was really lovely, sat down at our table when she took the orders which was different but not unwelcome. Good vibes, clean and tidy restaurant and the food came out super quick. Small but simple menu.

We ordered the croquetas (croquettes) and grilled corn for entree and these were very delicious. We got three pieces of croquetas which was a very modest portion byt just acceptable for an entree.
We ordered chimichangas which were priced twice as the entree but the size was almost similar to the croquetas. This was quite disappointing. We also ordered other soft shell tacos and fried dishes.
It works out better if you are in a group able to share dishes. The flavour is great but the portions are fairly small hence the slightly lower rating.
Always wanted eat here and finally got a chance since it's now in Sylvia - I've since been twice. The service is a standout for me, there is a particular female staff who is super friendly, super helpful and definitely made my experience better. The decor is also great, I could read the walls for ages.
I've had the fried chicken, the beef taco, the chicken tinga quesadillah, their chips & salsa, and cheesecake. I found everything very tasty. Their spice level is pretty low for me and I don't find the sauces spicy either. One negative is I feel the portions are very small especially for the price.
I think it's definitely a place I'd come occasionally π

I ordered crema catalana and churros for my wife and myself. She also had white cola (the "unmissible" drink).
Crema catalana was way too sweet for me. Churros balls, on the other hand, had a starchy core and lacked flavor. Even the dip was forgetable.
The friendly staff made up for the dismal gustatory experience. They anticipated our needs and were cheery despite us coming at their closing hours.
Came here for a light lunch to celebrate the missus birthday and we really enjoyed our time at Mexico. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing and he was superb at explaining what dishes we should try considering our palates.
We had the fried chicken, chicken quesadilla, prawn soft shell taco and Panucho. Meals came out relatively quick, and we loved how much colour there was in our meal.
A nice little gift of a tequila shot was a perfect way to end the experience.
Showstopper: Mexican Fried chicken? I donβt know if itβs a real thing, damn the batter and spice kick makes a terrific combination.

Similar to the Mexico in ellerslie except it's a tad smaller inside. Food comes out quick and the waiter who served us was very friendly. The pork belly tacos were amazing here and should defs stay on the menu.
Fried chicken also tasted a little bit better than the last experience at the ellerslie branch.
I do really like the fact that i can go to mexico and go to the movies straight after.
Amazing food and drink plus the staff were friendly. Recommend the Torta Ahogada and Braised Pork Belly Tacos with White Cola and Tropical Guava to wash it all down.

Good food. The coffee was nice. Lost 1 star as receipt was not automatically given when I could have received a voucher in Spend & Receive at Sylvia Park promotion.
Pretty decent place to meet up with a few mates, have some drinks, and share a few plates. Chicken platter had some tasty options, and was only slightly too dry but it was okay still with the dry rubs or sauces. Chicken burger looked massive. Quesadillas were only okay, the beef cheek one being the better one. Jalapeno poppers were way better and more real than any others I've ever had. But buying individual tacos and trying all 3-4 of them was definitely the best option. Got a couple buckets of Coronas with limes and then the margaritas. Drinks naturally get expensive very quick. They did have a virgin sangria too if you're not looking to drink. We didn't opt for the different tequila tasting flights this night, but perhaps a future day. As for the place itself, wish the seats were a tad more comfortable. As for the ambience, walls were absolutely covered with art and framed images which did lend a good themed feel to the place.
The place was nicely decorated and was inviting. The girls who served us were also really lovely and friendly. The jug drinks could easy drink 2.5 people. Food was pretty ok, would be nice with a little bit more filling.
Came to celebrate my hubby's birthday here with the whole whanau. Grandkids love the chicken taco, enjoyed their drawings, celebrant enjoyed his superb braised pork belly with perfect presentation. Service was great and food not so bad. Will recommend this place. π
I've been to a few Mexico branches and this one did not disappoint either - well, apart from the magic chicken which was a little dry, but their margaritas made up for it. The service was exceptional and vibe/setting better than the rest. If you're up for a little casual but exotic night out with friends and family this is a good one to go.
There is no better spot for your taco and fried chicken fix. The beautiful food and tasty cocktails come out so fast, great environment and staff are always helpful.
Highly recommend and always good when there is easy parking nearby.

Only stopped here for drinks so I can't say much about the food, but we did really enjoy the experience. I've never had horchata before, it was super refreshing and interesting with a subtle rice flavour and the sweet cinnamon and condensed milk. The drink size was pretty generous in comparison to most other drinks offered at restaurants so I'm super happy with the order. The interior is also so gorgeous, probably worth a visit alone. The walls are absolutely covered in vibrant portraits and artworks and it was absolutely stunning.
Mexico is a lovely restaurant, even though they are usually extremely busy on Thursday to Saturdays. Service is Ok { just because they are so busy } but the food is awesome ! Love the flavors and its always fresh. Sangria is the best !
Super busy but that didn't seem to affect the service. The tacos were amazing - I highly recommend the Pumpkin flavour. We also got the pork belly and fried chicken - the fried chicken is another must. Also be sure to try the Margaritas - if you're sharing you can get a carafe like we did! The fitout is also very cool, feels like you've stepped right into Mexico the minute you walk in the door.

However the main star of the dish, or so I thought β¦. Teriyaki tofu was nothing but deep fried spongy tofu with no teriyaki essence as such (seen in pic)
Iβve had the chicken before and it was great, not sure why vegetarian protein sources are so ho-hum?

This was the first time we had been to this Mexico in Sylvia Park and we thought it was great. We had the fish yeast battered fish soft tacos, mexico fried chicken and coffee agave lamb QUESADILLA and enjoyed there special selection of Tequilas. Great art work on display and a fun atmosphere for friends, families an couples.
Nice food...though you have a little wait for service but okay....liked the crispy chicken most of all....crispy cauliflower also good...and papatas also good.
