Quite possibly the best Indian cuisine on the North Shore. We've been here 3 times; the first we dined in; the owner is such a cheerful, lovely and passionate man who just wants to serve people to the best of his abilities. The second time, we picked up and even the fussy eater in our group thought it delicious. The third time we got it delivered, the cost of which for a distance of about 4km was so much cheaper than what we were expecting compared to most other places. Each meal though, was delicious, we've tried different curries and each time they've hit the spot. Thank you so much!

I was there Tuesday night (12.12.23) with my wife and friends. We have been regulars for a while, either take-out or sit-in.
The friendliness when you walk in the door is where the Cinnamon experience starts. Happy, friendly greetings and welcoming staff are always a good start to any evening. The food is awesome, plentiful, and cooked to how you want it from a heat perspective. Seeing the family ( Daughters) getting involved and helping out is great.
Despite arriving as the last customers of the night, the staff at this restaurant gave us their undivided attention and made us feel welcome.
The food was absolutely amazing and both of us were thoroughly satisfied. We couldn't believe our luck stumbling upon such a wonderful place. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

I had a garlic nan (amazing!) quite thin and not stodgy but lovely and garlicky. Rice was perfect and chicken jalfrezi (kiwi hot) was delicious. The portion size was small in comparison to what they used to serve. I believe it is still the best Indian food on the North Shore! Will definitely go back soon!
I dined here with my good friends. The service here is excellent and the food is very delicious.
I will not hesitate to return here with my friends again, as it’s a nice place to socialise too.

Updated - @Sunita, thank you so much for the complimentary meals following my review below. I must say that the meat in last nights meal was oh so much better, much larger pieces, more of it and great quality! Exceptionally tasty curries.

Tried this place tonight for take away - the food was very tasty but sadly the amount of meat in the curries was severely lacking - lamb pieces about the size of a sugar cube, and not very many at all, the amount of chicken was not much better. As I said, tasty, but I feel overpriced compared to other local Indians relative to the amount of meat (we generally buy for 2 and share with kids, didn’t really work this time) - maybe you get more if u dine in, ($80+ incl entree platter for 2 and naans) ….maybe we were just unlucky…looking at other reviews.
Absolutely incredible experience here - both with food and service. My partner and I are visiting Auckland from London, so the bar was set pretty high considering the quality we are used to. This exceeded every expectation we had. The chef’s butter chicken special was exceptional and both the garlic and peshwari naan were particularly tasty. Thank you for such a lovely dinner! We will be back next time…
Last night I went to The Cinnamon Club with my family. We ordered many dishes but I especially liked the tandoori chicken. I have tried many places so I must say the tandoori chicken I had last night was to the next level. So fresh, tender, juicy and full of flavor to every bite of it. Definitely recommend.
We went with a very large group of people last weekend. Despite there being so few staff, they did everything they could to welcome us and ensure we had a pleasant time and a good meal. So friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much to ask. The mild curries were very mild, so if you like a little spice, you are probably safe ordering medium. Prices are quite reasonable for the Shore. Would definitely recommend for the warm atmosphere, service, and also ease of location with plenty of parking outside and on the road.

Love the place which is strategically located nearby a beach. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. He made recommendations of their favorites, we ordered lamb biryani, chicken manchurian, the cinnamon club special butter chicken and garlic naan. Every main course are complimented by a bowl of basmati rice.
Lamb biryani was aromatic, not gamey, and not mushy. We really love spicy food, they made the spicy level just right to our liking.
The butter chicken was creamy, not too sweet and chicken was so tender and rich.
The best part of our dinner was the mango lassi, so refreshing tangy and sweet. A must order beverage to wash away the spiciness on you tounge. Definitely will come back another time.
This has to be the best tasting Indian food on the planet. I’ve dined all over the world and this has been the best Akron’s experience for me. The owner was charming and a perfect host. . They are worth the trip. I will be visiting every time I’m in Auckland. Ray Davies from Uk via masterton

HUGE THANK YOU TO THE FANTASTIC OWNER/CHEF SUNIL he drove all the way to our house to deliver the amazing curries (NAAN WAS ALSO VERY DELICIOUS and Basmalti Rice cooked to Perfectionnn)

Sunil and his amazing team did a fantastic job, outstanding customer service. Being an Indian I can 100% recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. When I ordered take away and the food was already made and ready to go by the time I got there and it was amazing.

What can I say - the food was excellent as usual. Great naan bread, starters we had were honey cauliflower that was to die for and the onion baji never dissapoints. Main courses were the best curry we have had in a long time. Best Indian restaurant on the shore by a country mile plus it is byo.
