Ate here last night, had heard good things and it certainly didn't disappoint! We had the chef's choice of 6 courses with matched wines. Both the food and wine pairing were perfect, highlights for me were the cured kingfish with prickly pear sorbet and milk lamb. The portion sizings were perfect. The waiters here are great, friendly, attentive and knew about both the food and the wine! This place has a great ambience and a great buzz. Will definitely visit again.

The small but very well thought out menu is perfect. Start with the chicken wings, they’re delicious. I really enjoyed the lamb dish accompanied with the brussel sprouts. For dessert we shared a few just to explore the dessert menu. The honey dish and the Issac Hayes are the winners. This restaurant is a nice surprise in Napier.

OMG certainly lives up to the eat modern ethos. No fuss faultless service, the food was amazing and would sit alongside some of the best I have eaten, wine match complemented superbly. Fine Dining without pretentiousness- Eat modern and pop into Bistronomy.

Absolutely superb! Was fully booked, but found room for us at the bar. I'd recommend sitting there anyway. It gave us the chance to interact with the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I cannot give more than 5*, unfortunately!

We ate here last night with a group of friends from Australia. We all agreed this is one of the best eating experiences we have ever had! From start to finish it was a a gastronomic extravaganza and the staff were superb. We loved the way they explained all the dishes so we were able to really appreciate what we were eating. Well done Bistronomy staff, we will definitely be back!

Been waiting to go since they opened and finally made it for a birthday lunch when visiting from Auckland. Stunning food and service, beautiful set up and genuinely family friendly. Proves that incredible food, simple, straightforward, excellent service and welcoming kids can be done. Baby even got a quick lesson in what is a big fish and what is a small fish as we walked by the kitchen!

Have to admit this place is more than meets the eye. My Nan and I visited Napier on a quick trip and on a great recommendation from Ngarina Douglas we decided to book in on our last night. Food was exceptional - I want a restaurant like this up in Auckland :)

First night staying in Napier on a relaxing getaway and happened upon this hip-looking place in the CBD. I remembered hearing about it from other reviews so gave it a try. The beef rib had an array of interesting flavours and textures that each stood out and worked well together. The baked potatoes were fresh and subtle, working well as a side. Tried a hazelnut whip cocktail which combined coffee and whiskey together, fantastic. A great gastronomic experience.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Had the 6 course pairing menu. Each dish and paired wine were absolutely delicious, and the wines were great matches. They made the menu vegetarian at our request and we enjoyed the variety and innovation used for the different dishes. Lovely service and ambience. Recommend.

Lovely interior decoration and great atmosphere, suitable for dates or family dinners. Our hostess/waitress was very accommodating and welcoming. We had the beef Wellington and the pork hock/pork belly with a side of fries and bread for starters. The portion is decent and quality is very good. The hock/pork belly was a little dry for me but it was still very good. The beef cheek Wellington was very moist and the pastry was super! It was definitely our favorite dish. The dessert was very good also. The chips and bread was a good compliment. They have a good selection of NZ wine and we got the Hopes Grove Syrah, very nice I must say. Would definitely come back next time I visit Hawkes Bay

Excellent, interesting food and attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyed all courses (see pics) and good wine pairings. Given the quality of the food I think the tasting menu represented pretty good value for money. It's quite a small restaurant so reservations recommended.

My wife and I just experienced the full degustation and wine pairing experience here. There are few words that adequately describe the experience. Outstanding, exquisite, sublime don’t quite do it justice. From the moment we walked through the door till when we left, the lovely Swiss Australian girl and handsome French African gentleman treated us like royalty. Every dish was carefully introduced and its complimentary wine, loving described. Each dish, so perfectly presented and with flavours, so well balanced and complimentary.. it was difficult to eat without making audible noises of pure satisfaction. Gordon Ramsey who? This chef, is unparalleled. A genuine artist and artisan. Sir, you blew us away with every course. This experience may have cost a small fortune, but every cent was well worth it. A rare pleasure that will not be quickly forgotten. We thank you.

Buzzing place. Great food options. We choose the 6 course tasting menu which is good value. Service started out good - pleasant, informative and prompt - but then it fell over with the first 2 courses coming close together and then really long delays between courses. Then we had to wait at the counter 10 minutes plus to pay the bill!

Without a doubt, the best restaurant that I have been to in Napier. The dining room is set out along a long and narrow building with the kitchen and bathroom toward the back. The decor is very unique and finished well. The food is the highlight of Bistronomy, changing seasonally it is well thought out. Service is also impeccable, our server knew all aspects of the menu. I would recommend Bistronomy for a date night or an intimate dinner with friends.

Exquisite! The dishes were perfectly prepared and the portions just right for someone with a small appetite like me that just wants a sample of everything. I had the oyster, lavender sashimi, ham & melon and finished with the honeycomb fig ice cream. Great wine pairings and selection. The cocktails are the highlight : must try the Ciao Siciliano - so good!

If you love food, healthy eating and great service, you just have to try Bistronomy! We selected the Chef’s choice of 6 plates and wow, we anticipated each deliciously different and artistically plated dish with delight and thoroughly enjoyed the total Bistronomy experience. Excellent wine selection too. Be adventurous and go with house recommendations as the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Make sure you book in advance.

Exceptional busy night being mondayised boxing day. Good was very good as expected, ordered rib eye steak on the bone, ordered at $15 for 100g ,think we got 600g not as tender as hoped, also we ordered a 1/2 beef cheek Wellington very tender and wholesome, surprised not to find mushroom duxelle. Paired with a delicious decibel pino noir finished the dish off perfectly.

An absolutely wonderful dining experience. Food, and the presentation of it, was excellent. Customer service first class. Led by Owner/Chef Jason, along with Maitre'd Abraham and Waiter Dean, it was a fantastic evening. Thank you everyone.

The food and service were both great. We ordered Good Fish and Beef Cheek Wellington as mains and Hash Brown as side. They were all cooked beautifully; and the Beef Wellington was the champion.

What a treat!! Husband and I felt like we were taken to Europe for the night. We had the tasting menu and were so glad we did. The food was exquisite. We both reckon it was one of our best meal EVER. The dishes were varied, well presented and very well executed. I am dairy free and I mostly didn't feel like I was missing out. The service was impeccable. The waitress was present to answer any questions and was very knowledgeable. The wines were fantastic... elegant and distinctive. How refreshing to find Gamay or Chenin Blanc on the menu too. The atmosphere was warm and modern. We will be back! Thank you again for helping us celebrate our anniversary.

Food was awesome, service was awesome. Waitress had only been working there for a few days but did an excellent job of explaining the menu and giving us a more personalised experience. Although we have eaten better for less elsewhere. Check out @oli.viaeats on instagram for more passionate reviews

Wow, this restaurant was an incredible find! I visited with my colleague on a recent work trip and we were both blown away. Coming from Wellington, we have very high expectations when it comes to food, and thankfully this did not disappoint. The food was elegant and innovative (check out the snack selection, served on rocks!), the wine was superb, and the staff were very welcoming. We really loved the chic decor and the relaxed vibe of the restaurant. I will definitely be back when I make my way to Napier again! Top marks team.

Six of us had an extraordinary meal at Bistronomy last night. We chose the six course tasting menu with paired wines. 7 pm - 10:30. Exquisite array of entrees, mains and a dessert and luscious New Zealand wines. Service was informed, professional, and friendly. It was a bit more than a good meal. Couldn’t go wrong here
