Ordered during a quiet weekend afternoon - the girl serving us was friendly. The oil was fresh and clean and the fish tasted fresh. One of us ordered the gf batter, and it was good. Things have improved from our last visit. Will come back.
This place is AMAZING for Coeliacs. We have three, aged 45, 9 and 5 - huge GF menu, dedicated fryer, massive range of items. We went twice in the week - too good not too! Five star awesomeness. Recommend heading up to Bluff Hill to eat 'em.
Excellent gluten free fish & chips. I am a coeliac from Sydney, and was in heaven to find this place during our trip. My non-GF husband also shared some with me, and very happily declared "these taste like real food, this batter is great!". 10/10. Highly recommend.
If you are Gluten free or celiac...these are the only fish and chips available in Napier...and they do a great job of them. Friendly service and a good price. Many places have no idea when it comes to celiac people, but they cook everything separate and we have never had any problems.
Fecken brilliant! To find a gluten free fish and chip shop is good but to find one that is actually tasty, priced right and well worth the visit is just amazing!

Food was fantastic, I was in Napier on holiday a few weeks ago and came across this place. The menu was amazing, so much selection, the lady that served me was very pleasant, well priced aswell. Hope I get to come back here someday. Thank you.
What can I say but WOW, WE LOVE THIS PLACE. Great range of gluten free, the best we have had yet. Good vibe in store, thanks for being awesome and we will definitely be back.
A great fish and chip store with an expansive and creative menu. Fish was great, hot dog on point, crab stick was choice, chips were good. Nicely presented for takeaway with free lemons!!
Missed out on Hunger Monger on Marine Parade as they were so busy, glad we did because just a short distance away we found the gem that is Ma’s Fish and Chips, great value for money and the best fish and chips I’ve had for a long time, thanks guys, highly recommended 🥰
Had fish n chips here when visiting Napier recently.
Definitely recommend their food and would certainly go back next time we in the area.
