Hands down the best restaurant in Hawkes Bay. Sam’s food is exceptional everytime. If you’re looking for that absolute top class dining, look no further. Compared to places like Craggy and Black Barn, this place is next level and a much better price.
We went for the Christmas Menu, which was delicious. The highlights were the salmon tartare and the chocolate tart, yet the most surprising dish was the beetroot sorbet with gin. The service was attentive and very good!
The four of us dinned here for dinner. We enjoyed it amensly. I had the wine pairing and was glad I did. Nice to try different wines too. The match was a good fit. I would recommend this place

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Poivre et Sel. The food and the service were outstanding and it was a lovely night out. The wine pairing was amazing and well worth doing. Thank you again for such a lovely dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This was our first time dining at Poivre et Sel and a most pleasing experience it was. Loved the ambiance and atmosphere of the setting. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food was great also, well presented and we found you did not leave feeling over full. We would highly recommend this

Sea front restaurant adapted from original house. Some of the original features have been kept making an interesting setting. Select meal options for pair with wine and main courses. Food was nicely presented. Comfortable décor.
I was drawn in by their "French restaurant of the year" award, and was absolutely not disappointed. Excellent food in a beautiful setting with a strong attention to details, we enjoyed every part of our dinner.
