Urban was definitely one of the best restaurants we have been during our trip in New Zealand. Everything was amazing and the staff was great. We loved our dinner there and we repeated two nights in a row. Definitely a must go if you are around Nelson.

Wow, amazing food. It's very tasty. Chefs awesome. Friendly service and clean. Recommend pork sliders and beef tacos. Oysters from Marlborough Sounds were big and fresh. All food freshly cooked. Fantastic.
Amazing food - all 4 dishes we had (ceviche tostadas, duck tacos, market fish and the tiramisu) were the best meal we had so far in NZ. Cocktails were amazing too. Service was good - we had no reservation but managed to get a table as walk ins. It filled up pretty quickly.

An absolute gem of a spot. If you’re ever in Nelson, give it a go. We had the most delightful dinner, the service was great, chefs were friendly, food was absolutely amazing, can’t fault it.

Great place for dinner! We ordered the fresh oysters (natural and nahm jim sauce), market fish crudo, Vietnamese beef tartare, bbq dark breast taco and lamb wrap! It was all pack full of flavours and freshness
This place was definitely one of the top eateries I've been to. Excellent service and excellent menu choice and I was very impressed with the drinks range as they had a variety of cocktails that I had never seen before which was epic to see! Food was divinne. Would highly rate this one as a must go.
Beautiful oysters and food was amazing! But just the duty manager was not very nice, they mischarged us for one more dozen oysters, the duty manager refund us but not in a nice way. Great oysters though, we enjoyed.

Came here for my brother's after graduation dinner. Food was superb. I personally wish the portion was a bit bigger but thats because it was so delicious I wanted more. I think this is a place to drink and nibble and not so much as a dinner place. Would definitely come again.
Had another delicious meal at Urban recently. This place has such a great vibe, music, ambience, service and food. Lots of different sharing platters to choose from. It's another Nelson must try, will leave you coming back for more 😋
Food cuisine is more innovative and has a different taste. The taste is very good.
But the taste is generally salty. More suitable for pairing with beers. Need to drink a lot of water to neutralize the salty food.

Fantastic food. Interesting with no pretence and topped off with a tasting plate (paddle) of beers. Service was friendly and efficient with staff making sure we had a great night. (The samba popcorn was to die for... get in while they still serve it)
