Located in Nelson’s central business district the Sprig and Fern is a handy place you can drop in for a drink and some food. The food is ok, what you would experience from a pub. They have a wide selection of beers on tap. Good sized indoor seats as well as some seating outside on the street.
Great atmosphere, good beer and food.
Great beer selection and the only chips with perfect english style curry sauce in the whole area as far as I know.
Popped in for a drink.... awesome service.....tried a couple ....picked a good one ...which I then lost to the Mrs....."chasing Hazy"
Lot of craft beer is available. Friendly staff ..they recommend according to your taste. Very good quality food with prices reasonably. Small seating arrangements are there outside too.
In town for a conference, had work drinks the night we got there, great service, huge selection of beers, highly recommended

The beers here are great, like absolutely delicious. This is coming from a former craft beer blogger.
But, their food can be improved. There are no vegan options (their fries have chicken salt), and their veggie tempura was a real miss.
Pints are $11, and tasting trays of 6 tasters are $19. Great

Absolutely delicious food and very well priced. One of our crew said the quesadilla was the best they have ever had, ever! Staff were lovely, will definitely be back next time I am lucky enough to be in Nelson & highly recommend to others. Thank you.
Great portion sizes, very tasty food. Filtered water (not tap water).

Good friendly crowd with awesome service from bar staff on busy nights... IPA's are okay but the cider is awesome. Seating is sufficient and there's roadside tables also. They prepare very tasty food so I couldn't ask for anything more! 😁 Cheers.
