Both beers we tried were excellent, a good IPA and Pilsner. Cozy indoor space, and a "proper pint" that's the size of a British pint ;) - friendly helpful people behind the bar. Great spot to stop and have a drink on a sunny afternoon

The original Sprig & Fern and a must do in Nelson. Beer it great as you would expect and usually quieter then the Bridge Street and Tahuna ones. Bonus points for great bike and car parking around the back. If you're thinking about it, just do it.

Very local little pub, part of the Sprig and Fern chain in the top of the south. There's a limited choice of food but lots of beers and I really enjoyed my summer hazy IPA. We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon and sat in the sun in the outdoor seats.

Great small bar/ cafe. Friendly staff and food sounds interesting and at a reasonable price. Enjoyed an apples cider outdoors on a beaut Nelson day. Very relaxing and thoroughly recommend a visit.

Great selection of beers and ciders. Plenty of charm. Puzzles on the bar blackboard and boxed games for those so inclined. A good spot to while away an hour or two with friends or with your other half. Well worth visiting.

We came in for lunch with 5 kids and the staff, food and space was amazeballs! Paprika fries and dough balls from next door. YUMMY!

Wish you'd open one up where I live in Kauai. It's the Cheers tavern in New Zealand. Aloha to all my new friends.

Incredibly friendly staff at the Milton Street Sprig! Juliette, Victoria and Jim made me feel very welcome and kept me entertained while I drank my delicious grown up lemonade mixed with the berry cider which was recommended to me by Juliette after I described my preferred tastes. I’ll be back 🙌🏻

Awesome range of craft beer's and a very cute little building in a nice unexpected location. We'll be back for sure - we might even make it our local. See you there!

Absolutely terrible. I spent all my money on exceptional beer because of the extensive selection, gained weight because the curly fries were so crispy and delicious, and my partner was HAPPY because he got a free pickled egg. To make matters worse, the staff are FRIENDLY. Truly a terrible place. Don’t go. And especially don’t sit in that comfy window couch. It’s mine.

Always a lovely catchup with friends there....a small area so can get quite noisy when busy in Winter but a lovely fire gives a nice feeling of ambience on a cold ole day!
