What a wonderful restaurant! The waitress was warm / amazingly kind & friendly. The food itself was absolutely yum (we're traditionally omnivores) and the portion size was decent- great value for money 10/10 guys!

A wonderful find on a weekend in New Plymouth. The service was friendly and respectful, the atmosphere inviting, and the food on offer was excellent, both in choice and quality.

Had a good experience today. Welcoming staff and good choices of vegan food where it's really hard to find in the city I live in, will definitely go again next time when we visit New Plymouth.

I stopped in on a Saturday morning on my way to work to grab 3 things which turned out to be really good coffee, 2 of the best custard squares I have ever eaten (these are for supper for hubby and me) and a hearty bowl of delicious salad that is just soooo good and tasty...so good, not kidding.

I popped in just after lunch on a Wednesday, it was still bussing. The interior felt rather comforting, with both open tables and little nooks and cranies, nice. I had a small bowl of 3 items, it was delicious, and filling. 10/10. I'll be back.

Wild Pear Kitchen is more than a plant-based cafe - it has spontaneously created a community of people seeking food that is fresh and alive. The New Plymouth cafe has tasty soups (the Thai pumpkin is the best I’ve ever tasted), a medley of fresh and colourful salads and delicious baked dishes (always changing) for vegans, vegetarians and people seeking healthy food options. The welcoming staff make you feel like you’ve come home for breakfast, lunch or just popped in for a coffee, hot chocolate or smoothie. For a treat, try a vegan donut, lamington or cheesecake - they are divine. This is easily my favourite cafe in Taranaki and in Aotearoa (New Zealand), not that I’ve been everywhere.

On holiday and after walking by several times, I finally stopped in for a take-away order yesterday. Toastie, Wrap & Banana Bread slice later I was on my way. There were SO many tempting choices available, it was hard to choose. I will go back to try more before I leave the area. All of my choices were Delicious, Well Prepared / Presented and very satisfying. Excellent quality & freshness.

Great vegan and gluten free food, great cabinet options as well. Very tiny space so became difficult to manage ... Squeeze round others chairs! One of the wait staff with more testosterone would slam things down on the table but was very accommodating.,

WOW! Paradise on a plate, double paradise if you're vegan, as so spoilt for choice! En route from Patea to Auckland we decided to detour into New Plymouth after reading online reviews & checking out pics of dishes on offer (daughter is vegan). Very glad we did! Definitely worth the extra time & $$. Great variety, friendly & efficient staff, visually exciting food (making it hard to choose), very healthy, nourishing, every mouthful a flavour explosion of goodness! Make sure to squeeze in an Iced Mocha Oat Shake after all your other goodies... divine! Congrats on providing an outstanding establishment, Wild Pear team. When are you coming to Auckland, please?

honestly, this place is my go- to place for a good meal! the only critique i have of Wild Pear is that I wish it was open more often, so that I could go more often! One of my favourite things is getting a large bowl of the delicious smorgasbord, and taking it home to share with my flat mates :)
