Fantastic meal, the snapper was melt in the mouth, great cocktail bar, chocolate martini a must try, music perfect and staff very friendly, can’t wait to go again

5 of us dined here Tuesday gone and all of us enjoyd it the food was amazing along with the surroundings was beautiful the service was excellent could of spent more on drinks if we was served faster I had to get there attention every time I needed a drink apart from that I recommend to everyone
Best place to stay at in New Plymouth, if not New Zealand.. Totally stunning decor, lovely staff and the owner Terry Parkes is a true professional. Everyone is entertaining and look after us very well at this amazing Hotel.
What a grand old lady!! I have dined in this lovely establishment 6 years ago before moving to Perth and again last night for my birthday celebration. The food was exquisite and service outstanding. All staff including owner Terry Parkes were very welcoming and attentive. I will definitely return for another intimate evening. Thank you once again.
Such a quaint place to stay with excellent service, superb food, unique art work on display, gorgeous rooms with luxurious bedding and furnishings, handy location.

Had an amazing dinner with friends and loved our room and the fact that we could eat on our private deck but still be part of the restaurant atmosphere ! A hidden gem that I would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We had a lovely mini break at the Nice Hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly & helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated & extremely clean. Had some delicious cocktails at the bar before dinner. Perfect location for easy walk into town. Not far from the amazing new Len Lye centre. I totally recommend a visit! �
I was here yesterday with husband and i loved the ambience, service was awesome I am also from hospitality industry n i have never had this kind of service anywhere... Trio of lamb was good but the duck was really awesome... Will be back to try more... You guys made my night....
Awesome a lovely stay at nice hotel - we had the luxury package - were upgraded to a balcony room which was fantastic. Amazing meal in the restaurant - absolutely recommend for anyone wanting to get away from their children!

I was so impressed with the wonderful food cooked to perfection. The restaurant is just divinely decorated, so elegant and cosy. I highly recommend a visit here for a special night out. New Plymouths best restaurant I think
We came here for an early dinner. Service was polite, and the food arrived extremely quickly. The eye fillet and duck were perfectly cooked, and the dishes were very delicious. Would highly recommend the banoffee pie cocktail if you've got a sweet tooth.
A very good experience. The service was warm and friendly, if missing some of the detail I'd expect for a restaurant of this standing - in fairness, it was a busy night with a large group present.

Ceviche with citrus pearls resembled black caviar was a very elegant taster. Lasagna with kawakawa leaves demonstrated what real fusion kiwi cuisine is. Lamb ragout melted in the mouth like a dew drop on sunny morning. The owner Terry Parkes came for a chat and it was nice.
Awesome place in the Central hub of N.P with a outside dining and garden experience like no other.With a huge outside heating for those days when u might feel a bit chilly the smells coming from the kitchen full the air a great ambience and fine art inside .

Refined, inventive, precise - incredible menu by incredible chefs - Freddie and Richard Ponder.
Nice fine dining in a boutique hotel. Cozy atmosphere and so peaceful, even though in middle of town. Parking should not be an issue. Very prepared meals. Although Auckland prices. Well stocked bar. The 3 dessert options were not my types. All in all, a good place to celebrate an occasion.

Hubby booked this as a birthday surprise. We stayed in the St Mary's room which was a delight, very comfy bed, beautiful room and loved it. We also dined in the restaurant. The starters were delicious, we had the prawns and cauliflower. Mains was steak for the hubby which he enjoyed but sadly my crispy pork belly was sadly lacking...was gelatinous not crispy hardly any meat on it all rubbery fat.....and the orange smear of kumara all round the bowl didn't do it any favors. Couldn't fault the service, which was exceptional

We ordered a 4 course tasting menu dinner. Every meal was a surprise and a small portion of each. It was amazingly tasty,well presented and well timed between each course. But may not recommended if you are hungry and want a full dinner with dessert. It is really tasting only. Wonderful evening and atmosphere.
