By far our favourite restaurant in New Plymouth. Absolutely beautiful presentation, and the food is just to die for. Reccomend anyone and everyone book a table asap. The friendliest crew to dine with, Ken or whoever is head chef front of the kitchen will always welcome and farewell every group, and Sophie and her team are always very happy and easy to deal with. Love everything about this place !

Went on a Tuesday night, great booth table and nice atmosphere, love the posters. Friendly, good service and the food was awesome. I didn't want to stop ordering and even had more savory dishes while the kids polished off the green tea ice cream and tempura banana desserts. A good reason to move to New Plymouth just to be a regular diner at this great family run restaurant. Yum!

Genuine Japanese food. One of the best beef tataki that I ever had. Surely I will return again had I got a chance to visit New Plymouth again

The food was absolutely amazing! My favourite was definitely the Aburi Teriyaki Eel and to finish, the Banana Tempura was so tasty. Fast service and friendly staff! Definitely a favourite in New Plymouth:)

Really enjoyed dinner tonight, we came early and were able to sit where we wanted. Service was polite, food was delicious. Will return when we come back to New Plymouth for sure! Have only rated 4 star as there was a few options that were unavailable on the menu, but we got everything we wanted.

Found this place while walking down the street. Go in and try it. The food was amazing. The service was exceptional from the family run team. Try the Supreme Teriyaki Roll it was so good that I had to have a second.

It is such delight to have a sushi train here in New Plymouth. I miss Japan so much and Sushi Ninja’s sushi train and ramen are somehow nostalgic. Looking forward to some improvements on the pork tonkatsu on the ramen though (deeper flavor and more char).

Saw it said it was open on Monday. Time now is 7pm and it’s definitely closed. Was very excited to try the food. :(

Absolutely delicious. I wish I'd come here my 1st night in New Plymouth rather than my last because I'd have come several times!

Such a great way to end our holiday! Intimate setting with individual booths creating cozy atmosphere, but enough space in between to have privacy. Love the flame grilled Aburi Salmon Nigiri in the Akaroa Sushi Sashimi set that we had to order it individually again. Salmon Aburi rice is great for the growing teenager’s bottomless stomach. The Stuffed Capsicum Nikizume surprises us with the tasty mince chicken, such great flavour combination! At the end, we read their history on the wall and was very impressed that it was a husband and wife team! Well done, very nice indeed. Love to hear some Japanese pop rock band in the background, then it will be just top notch.
