Beautiful, flavorsome food. Steak was cooked to perfection. Banoffee pie and Snickers Cheesecake were devine. Quick efficient service and friendly staff.
It was the first time we had been to Haukai for a meal. The service was very good.
We were put by a window, which we realised wasn't double glazed, so it was quite cold. We eventually moved to another table, not so cold, but to me, the whole restaurant could've been warmer.

Great experience. Awesome accommodation, food and staff. The staff are particularly friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend the Novotel New Plymouth for a weekend away.
This was the second time in two months that we tried Tuesday Special "Trust the Chef".
The 4 dishes were superb.Delicious fresh flavours that included ceviche,roasted duck ,lamb and the bomb dessert with chocolate gannache watermelon gelato &,peanut crumble.All the main dishes were served with mouth
The lamb ovation was amazing. Compliments to the chef. Service outstanding. Lucky you run a good ship. Always a pleasure to eat at the restaurant with outstanding service.
Lunch at stylish Novotel New Plymouth with my best friend was such a pleasure! Excellent choice in matching textures and flavours! Wine matched too. It was Allan Scott Wines #pinotgris . Had to force myself from ordering the second glass! After all it was only lunch.

The dining staff made our visit special. Then the Chef Shabbah delighted us with his culinary skills in producing food that was so special.
We were welcomed and looked after by each staff member exceptionally well. The food was also very nice. Lovely and very special evening. Amazing staff!!7
Had the venison bacon burger which was quite bland but still enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Wasn't too busy and the location we sat at was very nice. It was Amanda's first day and she did an awesome job. Thanks for a Good Service Amanda.
We went for a Trust the Chef Tuesday 4-course meal and the food and service was fantastic. We’ll be back again!
Beautiful fresh local produce, my only regret is not dining here sooner as my accor card expires soon. The waiter was super friendly and didn't make us feel stink when we passed our loyalty card. Will return soon.
We had lamb shanks, pork ribs and quite a few cocktails. Overall an amazing experience. We were served by the lad named Lijo who was absolutely the best with his service and great smile! Would definitely dine here again!
I absolutely love the food here and recommend it for anyone wanting to go. I may be a bit bias since my sister works there, but I truly enjoyed the food so much 😁😁
We dined here over two nights - one eating from their standard menu and the other a Diwali Buffet Special. Both menus were absolutely delicious!

Amazing food and excellent customer service. Great selection of beverages and some really nice crafty beers on offer. Definitely will go again and highly recommend!
Had breakfast here, $25 for a buffet & continental. Good range of standard kiwi breakfast food cooked well. Hygienic and presented nicely. Pancakes, waffles , pastries, bacon and eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes all that stuff. Will go again.
