3 pensioner friends went to the Teahouse for lunch on 10 July 2023 and really enjoyed ourselves. The service was excellent, especially being school holidays so they were busy. We got our food and hot drinks promptly and the prices were as expected, mid-range and on a par with other New Plymouth cafes. The food really was lovely and we'll be going back again very soon. Highly recommend.

Stopped for an ice cream and walk around the Festival of Lights. Hate to complain but the ice cream was the smallest 1-scoop I've ever encountered. Awesome if you're buying for a 5yr old but if you like ice cream go for a double scoop! 😋

We love this place. This is where we had our wedding breakfast. Now 3 generations later we get to celebrate here again with a now rather enlarged family. Thanks Tea House for still being here and being able to serve a nice high tea for the family. Many thanks.

Beautiful location, right next to the lake in the park. Great coffee and lemon brownie. Cabinet food looks ok, is limited however. Service can be improved.

It's a beautiful location on a sunny day, and often a victim of its own success in terms of having queues of customers and therefore a bit of a wait, but the service is friendly, hot chips are a bit pricey but taste good, and it's the sort of place where if you're sat outside in good weather you kind of don't mind waiting a bit.. nice that the ice cream counter is separate to the main Cafe so us caffeine addicts don't slow down the steady stream of ice creams too much.. sometimes wonder if they could do more, and always think a later evening closing time, especially in summer, would be nice, but works well and you cannot beat that view!!

Great gluten free BLT. Ask about gluten free options, there are some items in cabinet but they can modify other items.
