This place is perfect for a weekend brunch! I loved the high table seating. We ordered the Bang bang chicken (which was amazing!!!) and creamy mushrooms (my personal preference is more creamy and soupy rather than a sause but again that's just how I like it). Peach ice tea and Ice latte were on point! Service and ambiance very nice š š
Their smashed avocado and kumara avocado panini are amazing! It's busy even on weekday morning! Definitely will visit again.
This is our go-to cafe after a lecture at university. Their cabinet food is well priced and very tasty. Can recommend their creamy mushrooms, have never heard a complaint about them

We found this place on Zomato, and Iām so glad it was in Zomato, or otherwise we wouldnāt have found it by accident because this cafe is hidden well. Most of the customers seems to be locals and workers around the vicinity.
The hanging plant pot decor really impressed me, and the wooden tables and glass roof goes really well with the glasshouse theme. The atmosphere is very relaxed and seats are comfortable too.
We ordered pork belly bao and crispy tofu. For drinks, we got blueberry cocoa smoothie and flat white. They were all delicious ! I love how Asian or Asian fusion items are available on a cafe menu because sometimes eggs benedict or French toast gets boring. And even the drinks menu looked very interesting.

The Glasshouse Cafe is damn average, came here in the weekend for the first time for morning tea with my family. I got an iced mocha and a cheesecake brownie thing to eat. The iced mocha wasn't the best it kinda gave me milkshake vibes but the brownie thing I got was damn good sis, so moist and rich. My brother got a hot chocolate and said it was too rich so that was a :(( moment. The cafe was super modern and clean and all the food looked and sounded super good so defiently will be back for lunch. Recently came back here for lunch and got the Eggs Benedict which were pretty damn good and defiently would get again. One of my brothers got scrambled eggs and also really enjoyed his meal, my other brother got french toast and said it was the best french toast he's ever had. The food was overall really yum and would defiently go back for lunch. x
Went here solo and suffice to say I had a very great experience there! The decos really match up to its name and gives a very refreshing nature vibe. The tumeric latte is delicious. The Korean fried chicken bao taste amazing with great flavours but perhaps the skin can be a bit more crispier since it is fried chicken. The lemon tart from the cabinet is okay with great texture but I can't really taste much lemon. Staff are really friendly. Overall a great time spent here by myself, thanks š
I ordered Corn Fritters because the Mince on Toast I originally wanted wasnāt available.
The fritters were different from any other ones I had tried, it was quite dark because of the balsamic vinegar and didnāt really hold itās shape. The flavour overall was still good and moist though. For me, there was too much mesclun salad on the plate, it made up about 60% of the dish? I feel like it would be better if they swapped it out for something else like cherry tomatoes even.Ā
The ambience of the place was nice and rather unique with it being a glasshouse.
Dropped by for lunch and had the fettucine marinara. Service was quick, great location with free parkings. Presentation was good, taste was really nice and they give ample of seafood. I was still full by dinnertime. Will definitely return

This cafe is quite hidden unless you purposely searched it like we did. Interior is unique and nature-orientated. Ordered their salmon eggs benedict on agria rosti, bacon eggs benedict on brioche toast and hot chocolate. Food and service was quick but not as friendly as expected from reading previous reviews. Hubby loved his bacon eggs benedict and it was yum! Really liked my salmon eggs benedict too but I found it to be a bit fishy towards the end. However both dishes are quite filling, we ended up not having dinner that day.
The food was amazing and the service was unlike no other. You can tell these guys are like family and they treat you as such also. They were making jokes and having fun all while bringing out some amazing food and taking care of all the customers that were there. This is one of the few places where you can literally eat anything on the menu and your mouth will thank you for it. Great flavors, well prepared meals.no complaints. Our group had a great time and the bar is fully stocked so have fun.

Glad I had the chance to check out this trendy cafƩ on a recent Saturday morning. Definitely impressed by how spacious it was and the variety of food on offer. In summary: food was pretty good, presentation was great, and service had a few misses but was forgivable.
My avocado smash was kind of like guacamole and salsa on toast, with a little bit of quinoa sprinkled under the plate. The goatās feta added another dimension of flavour, which was nice. I felt I needed to top it up with some poached eggs. There was a bit of miscommunication and lateness with this side order of eggs, but not a huge biggie.
Mum had the Glasshouse breakfast, where besides finding the tomatoes a bit sour and the big triangular rosti a little hard to cut into, it was enjoyable. Portion was generous and we liked how the chorizo wasnāt too spicy either.
Would be happy to come again and try out something more adventurous, especially from their drinks menu.
Gorgeous Cafe in Northcote with lots of indoor seating. Unique menu with lots of items to choose from, I ended up getting the sliders - 2x beef brisket and 1x butter fish. Such beautiful sliders, so flavourful and filling and come with heaps of Kumara chips! Overall great experience, will visit again and try the other items on the menu!
This cafe has a very nice interior, it is a nice place to go to for brunch or lunch. Both the cabinet items and food from the menu are good.
We went here for brunch on a weekend. It wasnāt empty but plenty of tables. Service was attentive and quick. The coffee was delicious and the salmon & avocado bowl was tasty. My friend was delighted by the waffles. Would happily be back but itās a shame there isnāt more free parking.

Holy moley! So delicious. The pork belly was so good, melt in the mouth and the jalapeƱo hollandaise was sooo good.
Salmon benny was just as yum, I just prefer my eggs cooked a little longer but thatās personal preference. Fave new spot I think!
Several months ago we read a review of the Glasshouse cafe in Glenfield and were attracted by the interesting menu. The place is open, spacious and airy with decor befitting its name. The menu offers an interesting range of options loosely based on more traditional dishes. We chose the Red Curry fish cakes and the Upbeat Eggs Benedict. The fish cakes (4) were light, crisp and very tasty, accompanied by shelled broad beans and a generous salad. The EB was served with lemongrass braised pork belly which was so succulent it melted in the mouth, and the poached eggs were done perfectly. Both dishes were ample for lunch, well presented and very tasty. The wait staff were very professional and the food was delivered very quickly. This is well worth a visit especially if you enjoy fusion style food.
Lovely ambience. Staff were super friendly and service was prompt. We got the polenta vege stack and the classics eggs Benedict which were both delicious. Will be back soon as itās so close by. Couldāve been the time/day we went but feel like itās such a great hidden gem which is not too crowded. Cute ambience too! Definitely recommend as a weekly brunch spot.
Amazing food and service plus a lovely atmosphere, if you want both healthy and delicious food then this place is the place for you! The coffee was especially delicious and great catering for dietary needs!
Friend took me there for her birthday treat the place was very welcoming as the sun was shining brightly. She had potato stack with kale and egg on top, I had the salmon and soba noodles. My friend thought the kale was rubbery so left it. I had difficulty finding the salmon and thought the remainder was oily. We enjoyed our drinks I had a hakanoa lemon, honey and ginger and it was fantastic I would recommend here just for that drink
great place for breakfast. quick and prompt service from when we first walked in the door. I had the upbeat eggs benedict with braised pork belly with jalapeno holandaise and my partner had the glasshouse big breakfast. both of us were impressed and left with full stomachs. will be back again.
Unexpected location for a cafĆ©, but nevertheless, lovely cafĆ© with great breakfast options that are different from most breakfast places. Great for people with dietary requirements. We've always found this Asian inspired breakfast cafĆ© to have a really interesting menu ā„ļø They've also recently changed their menu. So amazing. I have so many photos because I love it so much!

The shop looked busy & table full of customer,
I didnāt expect nice coffee because barista was busy to make others coffee,
I ordered flat white, my coffee was really nice,
Usually, I drink espresso, coz, sometimes milk coffee was too milky & lack of coffee flavors from other cafe,
But, here coffee was rich & strong flavor like Dark chocolate. Thatās what I want from milk coffee.
Very welcome glasshouse opening this area as I am a local!

After seeing the hype of this new gem on social media and restaurant publication, I decided to check out the Glasshouse Cafe for brunch! Overall verdict:

Fvaourite of the day: chocolate milk smoothie
Upon entering the cafe, we were immediately drawn to the bright interior decorated by natural foliages and ample sunlight. The cafe is spacious, inviting, and sends a super relaxing vibe! The menu was very extensive with many interesting & Asian-inspired dishes such as bulgogi bao and black sesame tofu-making it even more attractive as one of the few Asian-fusion cafes in Auckland, and especially on the Shore!
I started off with a banana, yoghurt, and cacao smoothie while my friend opted for a latte. My smoothie tasted absolutely divine, a strong banana taste with a tinge of sourness that made it refreshing and cool for a sunny day. My friend also rated their coffee. The meal was served very quickly to us and the presentation was just 11/10! We had:
Creamy mushrooms on potato rosti:
This was a classic brunch dish with an interesting twist. The creamy mushrooms didn't taste very heavy & buttery, instead it was just right, with some interesting seasoning (Asian spices?) that gave it an almost light sour taste! The best part of this dish for me, however, was the choice of potato rosti instead of a piece of ciabatta bread or something! The rosti was cooked to perfection- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! The portion size was also really good.
Salmon & avocado bowl:
As I didn't feel like too much carbs that morning, I opted for the much healthier sounding bowl of salad. The avocado portion was generous, and the flower carving makes this a must-try for all your instagrammers! The brocollini was also well-seasoned and added a crunch to the salad. I thought the salmon was a tad bit bland but then again the salad had very strong flavours. The capsicum pieces (which was a surprise) in the bowl seemed like they were stir-fried with sesame oil and Asian soy sauce, which was a pretty nice alternative compared to your usual basaltic vinegar or mayo dressings! Something to watch out for is that they also used chili in the salad which gives it a tang and some heat that was unexpected! It's a fantastic addition but for those who don't take spicy, you might want to double check with the waitress before you order.
Finally we ordered the red velvet cupcake and the apple cake from the cabinet (because we simply wanted to stay at the cafe for longer)! The cupcakes had a huge variety of food that are ready to go and yummy treats such as cream cheese brownies (GF as well!), lemon meringue tarts, cakes, and muffins etc. As someone who's picky about desserts, I really enjoyed the treats at the Glasshouse. The cupcake was moist and not too sweet, and the icing was also very smooth. The apple cake came with yoghurt which I really enjoyed! The were real slices of apple on top which also gave the cake another texture. The desserts were faultless and I can definitely feel my food baby by the time we left!
Overall, the Glasshouse Cafe is a lovely cafe for an overdue catch up during the weekend, quick breakfast, weekend brunch and pretty much any occasion! It's definitely a hidden gem in the shore that I would recommended anyway to it them a visit! Would definitely return for the tantalizing waffles or french toast next time :D
Been here twice now, absolutely amazing food but new staff made a couple of errors when taking our orders, easily forgiven though. Loved the atmosphere and a great variety of healthy food choices

The kitchen was super busy today when we arrived at 1pm - seems the menu items are really popular, esp compared to the cabinet which were primarily savoury items. There were 4 front of house so we were well looked after, but they could do with another hand in the kitchen given the demand! The menu is pretty big - even the drinks filled a whole page! Flat white
Using a Guatemalan Indonesian blend by Green 2b roastery, this is one of the strongest flat whites I've had in New Zealand. Really love the beans, but unfortunately the milk lacked the silky thick microfoam throughout which would have made it great.
Salmon & avocado bowl
The salmon was done to perfection, while the greens were fresh and crunchy! Avocado was just right too. Just a note for those that don't like ginger: there's a lot of ginger in this!!
Glasshouse breakfast
Perfectly poached eggs on toasted sourdough, paired with choritzo, bacon, portobello, agria rosti, and...grilled tomato? Well, we were served perfectly crispy and soft succulent pork instead which was fine by me š
The rosti was so so good - deliciously sweet and slightly savoury, crisp, and not heavy. The crisp choritzo slices were also a great variation on the typical big breakfast dish, balanced by the juicy light portobello. The sourdough was a little hard to get into - probably not baked in house, or baked long before our 1pm visit.
Polenta chips
First time having polental chips! They didn't fall apart like I was expecting them to, and tasted healthy š a little on the salty side for my preferences, but the herbs and crunch outside were fantastic š
Oreo cheesecake
Dense but not dry, this cheesecake was a great light dessert to enjoy while we waited for our main dishes. The oreo cookie base was finely crumbled, soft, stuck well together, and was thankfully easy to breakš The oreo pieces inside the cheesecake were soft and perfect for the cheesecake, but the oreo on top was also a bit unexpectedly soft š¶ all in all, I like this cheesecake - light and soft, great to enjoy with a coffee š
The only thing that brought it down from a 4.5 is the milk in the coffee. I'll be back to try the coffee again šæ
Was very pleased to discover this wee gem! Lovely fit out and atmosphere. Food quality is very good, love the beetroot cured salmon. Coffeeās good, and great to have the option of tumeric and beetroot latteās. Menu could do with an omelette, and if the bene could be done on a rosti that would be even better. Either way, Iāll be back!
I arrived at The Glasshouse about 10 minutes before their closing but they still entertained me. I only ordered their matcha latte but it's the best I had so far. Plus the marshmallow on the side made any beverage extra special! I think I found my new favourite!!!

Great new cafe! Very spacious and bright. Food is delicious. We had pork steam buns and polenta cakes for brunch and both dishes were very tasty. The salad served with pork buns renewed all the memories from holiday in Vietnam.

Came by for a quick lunch today by myself and I was greeted and seated properly opposite the counter. My waitress was super nice - very attentive with water. As it was a quick lunch, I only had time to order the waffle minus the ice cream. It was delicious. Must try!
I am visiting from Canada and what a find! I had been at the YMCA next door and our group went to the Glasshouse afterwards for coffee, I had a Turmeric Latte which was very good.
We went back for lunch the next day, Ā I had the "Earthy Feast" (pictured) it was delicious and very well presented. Ā Healthy menu, different options from your standard fare, a welcome change!

The coffee was amazing here! And really like the casual tone of the cafe. Sad they didnt have the creamy mushroom, but their Shakshuka and Pork Belly Eggs Bene was absolutely devine!
Amazing food, very generous portions. We had French toast, eggs with pork belly and kumera Rossi and a big breakfast . The iced chocolates were yum too. One of the best cafes Iāve been to on the lower north shore for a while. Only negative is how the car parking is set up.

Great spot it's indoors but it feels like outdoors with a giant ceiling and a glass roof. The food was very good we just had some slices and the coffee is very good as well. 9 months later finally got breakfast here, and it's fantastic. Great serving and fantastic flavour. Absolutely love this local cafe, we've been here three times already. Consistently offering great food and coffee, staff were polite and helpful.
Great cafe with interesting assortment of yummy foods, including healthy options. A little hidden as signage is dominated by the giant NorthMed sign outside.
Pics are the turmeric latte, Potatoe cake with egg and Massaman chicken filo.
Overall lots of seating, very clean, modern, excellent coffee and food with friendly staff.
I tried beef bap and I think it was Vietnamese beef sandwich.. Anyway they were really good and it was only like $8 each! But, I will have to say that their lemon tart was a bit disappointing..
A consistently delicious cafe.
The space is beautiful and there's lots of room. Have never had to wait for a table. The bathroom is very clean.
The menu is extensive and has some real high points like the pork belly eggs Benedict, but everything I've had from there has been great.
The coffee is good too. Cabinet food looks fantastic but I've not tried it yet.
Service is speedy and polite. I love the enormous bowl of fruit bursts at the register, sorted by colour!
Absolutely amazing. We ordered a Glasshouse Breakfast and everything came out perfectly, the sausage was juicy and the egg was best it could possibly be. The muffins and scones were beyond delicious and came with butter in little packages. The decor in this place is AMAZING. Everything is so DIY and they have this vibe in which you are dining in a jungle with REAL TREES. Overall I would give this place a 5 star because of friendly service, delicious food, and a very warm feeling when you enter. Good job!
