Didn't actually planned to eat here but I was glad we did. Popped in for lunch and we ordered the roast of the day (pork) and a ribeye. Both dishes were excellent and the roasted potatoes were crisp on the outside while soft on the inside.

Awesome food and warm vibe. Mushroom stack what we ordered was amazing, juicy mushroom with bread explored a forest in my mouth and the fried salmon cooked perfectly which crispy skin and juicy salmon two different taste satisfied all I want.

Really nice ambient restaurant. Clean and friendly. The service was great and the food matched it. The cod was yummy as was the lambs Fry. Lemon dessert was delish 😋

With most of the town closed on Good Friday we made an early reservation. Whilst busy the staff were polite and knowledgeable. The menu is great - full of favorites your mom made, ok we never had lamb shanks as kids....

An excellent meal had by all. Seafood Chowder was great and the Blue Cod was good size pieces and cooked to perfection.
I had a classic slow cooked roast pork meal and my colleague had seafood chowder. Delicious, traditional fare which is well priced with generous portion sizes. The dessert of the day was also amazing, and the coffee was perfect. The service was impeccable and the staff delightful. I look forward
A beautiful restaurant with great food. I'm happy I went with the medium portion which was already generous enough; the large meal would definitely have been too filling. Highly recommended and will definitely go again the next time I'm in Oamaru.

Had the most amazing lamb shank here. They’re open for lunch at off peak times (ours was 3 pm) unlike a lot of other establishments nearby. There was one lady waiting all the tables when we’re there, she did amazing. Will come again if we have the chance!
The seafood chowder and lamb were really good. I wouldn't order the ham again since it was more of a cold cut heated up with a very nice sauce. I'd choose pork cooked the same way.

Great little place for lunch, extensive menu of delicious food at a really reasonable price, highly recommend if your in Oamaru.
We had the lunch time special of fish and chips and a sea food chowder. Huge hot portions and very filling. The deserts are also amazing!
