Eye filled steak to die for. Jimmy, the chef, gave me a steak that I haven't eaten anywhere for maybe two years. A true masterpiece of steak selection, preparation, and cooking. 10/10. My nate had Lamb Rump equally as good. Thank you 😊

My husband and I stopped at Powderkeg Restaurant and Bar for a lunch. We ordered Seasoned wedges with cheese, bacon, sour cream and chilli, and Teriyaki free range chicken, slaw and Japanese mayo burger. The food was so delicious. The best place in Ohakune to hang around for drink or dinner after a full day at the mountain. The atmosphere there is very cozy, warm and positive. Love the winter warm design of the whole place. The staff is super polite and helpful, always checking on your food and drink refills. Great selection
Just giving 4 stars because unfortunately they didn't have an item available! But apart from that, exceptional food for the price, and big servings. We ordered the pork ribs and the falafel burger.
Lots of people so it's hard to find a table during busy hours. Would definitely go again!
