Just celebrated my 60th at Vilagrad.
What a fabulous weekend.
We hired the accommodation for two nights and joined the Christmas party on the Saturday night.
Great food (including vegan options) and the atmosphere was so good that the excellent band didn't take a break all night.
Thanks for helping to make my celebration very memorable.

My wife and I visited for a Saturday lunch while on vacation in New Zealand. Although it was winter and the last leaves had just fallen from the grape vines, it was a beautiful location. More importantly for our visit the hospitality, wine, and food were all spot on.
In terms of the wine, we tried both the Vilagrad Cabernet blend and the 3 Brothers Pinot Noir. We enjoyed both. The Cab had more berry notes, while the Pinot had more cherry and stone fruit notes.
The buffet lunch was excellent. Our service included roast pork, lamb, and fish. We did not try to the fish ourselves, but we both really enjoyed the roast lamb and pork. The desserts served with the lunch were practically a meal in themselves. We noticed throughout our trip that New Zealanders love their sweets and this spread certainly did not disappoint.
All in all, we would highly recommend the Saturday or Sunday lunch to couples, families, or groups. The location, hospitality, food, and wine are well worth it. The location and facility also looked like a great venue for parties or weddings.
we went for lunch on saturday, delicious homemade food. Variety of lamb, pork and fish. Good selection of wines and beers. Well worth the drive if you are heading to Matamata from Auckland.
I organised a visit with my wine club, from Papamoa, 6 residents travelled in the village van and five couples in motorhomes, a very informative tour followed by a tasting, highly recommend visiting this vineyard
Had my wedding here and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Location was great, venue is beautiful and the staff there are just lovely! Helen was our "go to" on the day and she was so welcoming and warm to me,my bridal party, the kids at the wedding and all guests. Would highly recommend this venue and their accommodation 💕

So worth a visit. Buffet, food, and service exceptional would recommend group gatherings. 👌 Parking on site as well.
Always a very enjoyable experience at Vilagrads. Food consistently very good. Service always very efficient, warm and very friendly. Have been here many times and will certainly go many more.
Daughter went here for her seniors leavers dinner and really enjoyed it.
We went therefor lunch today, it was awesome. My husband enjoyed the meat and fish dishes, while I loved the variety of vegetarian foods. So many salads and the dahl is divine. I appreciate the gf df labels The chef told me there were other vegan options available by request. Plus friendly waitstaff
Came with a big group today for lunch on a bus trip from Tauranga. First time my husband I have ever been. Fabulous venue. Fabulous staff, food and wine. Great atmosphere. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thoroughly recommend for an amazing experience.
Attended a nephews wedding. Fabulous facilities and outdoor settings. Staff were really accommodating. Lovely clean surroundings. The food was fabulous. Would highly recommend this venue. The wine was so delicious. The Bride and groom and guests were top priority. 👌
A nice venue, the sunday lunch caters for all dietary requirements- there is something for everyone. Everything nicely cooked and staff clear dishes routinely off the tables to keep it all running smoothly and not cluttered. Great communication from the team from point of booking to the booked date. Great outdoor area for the kids to play.
Most welcoming Vilagrad family I have ever met!
My experience here was a dream come true, I got married here last month and all I can say is wow! From the amazing floor/bar staff to the the outstanding wedding coordinator. The food that was served was beautifully cooked and met our dietary recommendations.
We stayed at the Vilagrad suites and was blown away.
5/5! Cannot wait to come back for our 1 year anniversary and devour into the yummy food and Vilagrad wines.

What a lovely, lovely place! My husband and I stumbled upon this beautiful winery just as their Sunday brunch was wrapping up. Not only did they welcome us to join them, but they brought out each course for us! Leanne was so kind and welcoming. Adam, one of the chefs and fourth generation of this family-owned winery explained each dish to us and thanked us for coming. The food was AMAZING. Such different and unique flavors that blew us away! The fish and the lamb were fabulous! Pairing this feast with their delightful wine (grown from grapes on their property) made for one of our favorite afternoons on this holiday! We sat outside in the sun listening to the many children running and playing around the playground. We can not recommend this winery enough! Family-owned, incredibly welcoming, delicious food and drink all overlooking a beautiful scene. Do not miss this gem!
