Ohiwa Oyster Farm - Ohope - Photo album

Must visit this little gem, amazing food, great atmosphere and best hosts. Not mentioning that you have a view on the farm where your food comes from, it's just breathtaking
There’s a bit of magic here, the team are wonderful, oysters are the fresh and tasty - while you eat you can see the farm and people working on the farm - it’s both a great Kai/feed and a cool experience. Not only will we stop here when we are nearby, we might even do a trip from Auckland just for
I have been visiting this place for over 40 years now, I never pass by without calling in to get a feed, the pawn cutlets are to die for, and no need to mention the oysters 😋 it goes without saying, always friendly staff on, service with a smile, small local business that's deserving of your money,
Nice fish n chip shop. There are few benches outside. They offer fresh/ fried oysters and paua fritters. Fish choices are normally snapper or hoki. Other than seafood, there are burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets etc. prices are reasonable, maybe around $10-$12 per person and it’s much better than $2
Delicious fish n chips, so fresh. Mussels were yum and a decent size. Raw fish was sold out. I would definitely go back there, but next time earlier in the day to sample their full range
stopped here for lunch today. there is a space to park a truck if you're coming from the east coast side. they didn't have any oysters due to it being spawning season, but I got fish, chips, crab stick and a cheeseburger. cost around $16. the fish was okay, being hoki which was all that was availabl
Amazing Oysters. They also do taks away food. Suggest to stop in if your travelling through Ohope. They based in Wainui just outside of Ohope
Good fees of fish n chips here at Ohiwa Oyster farm. Their batter is golden and crispy and the times I've gone for snapper, it's been fresh as! 2 battered snapper and 1/2 dozen oysters I my go to. Well recommended.
My favorite fish and chip shop in NZ. I always make sure to visit whenever I'm in the area. Cute little side of the road setup. The chips and burgers are good quality and a decent price. The facilities (bathroom and tables) aren't the best, but you go for the food not for fine dining. The view of th
Two of us split the number 5 meal for lunch- not a bad value at $18 for a fish, a mussel, a crab stick, 5 oysters, 3 prawn horns, salad and chips. Chips were nothing to write home about but the seafood was all good, and I love how they dressed the salad. Cute roadside stop with fairly quick service.
Heard so many fabulous comments on how delicious the fish & chips were from here & told totally worth the drive for them..so I guess my expectations were already on high alert, hence my dissapointed in my first visit to Ohiwa oyster farm 😕 They probably had a busy day & that was why they had run out
Such an awesome trip in our beautiful back yard great hosts, history korero, Kai was sooo yummy and so nice to have it back in Maori ownership creating amazing opportunities for our people and excited to see the future plans come to life.
My husband was talking about stopping in for some Ohiwa oysters all the way from Auckland! It is such a lovely little spot to stop for a rest and some yummy food. Oysters, scallops and crunchy chips were on the menu for my husband, which he really enjoyed. There were many cars stopping on the day we
Such delicious kai and beautiful harbour views. I had the crumbed fish and ceviche... it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Really friendly staff, thanks!
Gorgeous spot for fresh, tasty kai moana
