Pretty good place for a bite to eat and souvenir shopping/browsing. Plenty of options to choose from. We tried ham and chrese croissant and a chicken pie from the hot cabinet, both were pretty good. Prices comparable to every other place in this area and a good pit stop on your road trip. Plenty of parking and clean toilet facilities. Petrol pumps in the adjacent premises.
As a midway stop for a trip, the guide recommended us to grab a pie for the breakfast.
A creamy chicken pie was my choice for the breakfast. This pie was absolutely delicious and the stuffing was plentiful that would make you full. The creamy sauce had a rich flavour of milk and butter.
The mocha was rich in flavour and you can feel that the shopkeepers made it attentively.
You definitely need to reserve time enjoying the meal for here. It’s AWESOME place! Great sandwich. But coffee full of bubbles in large size.
It’s a nice place for food as a stopover! We got the all day breakfast but we found the food to be tasty, but average. The sausage was a little too big to chew on, but the hashbrown is a highlight and tasted great. The staffs are really friendly too. It’s nothing too spectacular but it’ll definitely fill you up!
"Omarama" in the Maori language means "expansive land of the moon," where 'O' refers to a place, and 'marama' signifies the moon. When combined, it is called the land of the moon, often abbreviated as the 'Moon Land.'
If you're traveling from Mt Cook to Queenstown or Lake Wanaka, you'll likely pass through Omarama, one of the charming towns along the way.
This small town boasts several nice cafes, including the lesser-known Instagram-famous spot, Hot Tubs Omarama.

🏮Review🏮The omelette, unlike traditional ones, has a scrambled egg-like texture, but the goat cheese is undeniably delicious. The café's decor is fantastic, with a cozy fireplace. The coffee is also enjoyable. Next door is a souvenir shop where you can purchase some items!
At our lunch stop at the Wrinkly Rams in Omarama, we broke tradition by imbibing healthy juices, mostly because we noticed too late that they had beer. I had a Chicken Pie and a Giant Sausage, which as the name suggests, was just a Giant Sausage, and was awesome!
We stopped here on the way to Mount Cook for breakfast! The smashed avo and mince on toast were delicious and the coffee good. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere warm and welcoming :-) Highly recommend stopping here.
Delicious seafood chowder soup, coffee, hot chocolate, pies, a good selection of food.
Dropped by for lunch. This is a pretty nice establishment with a wide variety of food options with a very large gift shop selling quality wool products.
I ordered a chicken pie and an Afghan cookie, which were both delicious.
Busy restaurant, delicious cut board food. They also have animals in the farm, kids have fun there.
Warm and inviting local cafe, good for a quick breakfast and coffee. Very good customer service. The only vegan option was avocado on toast, but they have alternative milks.
Passed through at an odd hour, so only cabinet food available. Their pie was still very good; stick to your ribs hearty flavour. They also serve milkshakes the size of your head.
The shop is cute and has all kinds of dinky products. A quick gander to the back reveals some adorable lambs!
Nice stop for coffee, food, and souvenirs/gifts/clothing. High ceilings and enjoyable ambiance, surprisingly extensive gift and clothing areas separated into multiple open rooms. Right off the main road it is an easy stop along the way, at times tour busses stop here which can create quite the line so best to order upon arrival. Or if there is a big line explore the shop!
Overall, the good food was okie. The ambience was good, and location was strategic for a stop to satisfy hunger. Coffee and pie, dessert was good. Overall, it was a good place to stop for a quick meal.
The pastries were awesome - thick filling and tasty crusts. The coffee was good too. Overall the place had an interesting vibe and decoration and seem like a hit location with the locals.
Amazing food and well priced. Awesome selection of all day breakfast. Ready to go hot foods and pastries if you just need a quick lunch or snack.
