(tbh was debating between a 4 & 5 for a while. It’ll probably be a 4.5 lol)
WHY? This place has extraordinary food and is a must go if you’re in Waiheki Island. It has the perfect location, situated right by Onetangi beach. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to sit outside facing the calming waters of the beach. (Honestly nobody wanted to actually sit inside the restaurant haha even though it was quite nice inside too). The people here are so friendly, but I find that to be so in general for people on this island. The service is really good, staff are approachable & caring. The food & wine (ofc) is really good. This is a restaurant on an island known for wine, so the wine list is undoubtedly outstanding. I tried some interesting foods such as crispy cabbage which I never would’ve thought I’d enjoy eating. The only thing I really don’t like is how hard it is to remember their name 😂 but that’s ok, I’ve got it now after repeating it 100 times.
-> BE BACK OR BACK AWAY? DEFINITELY be back! I love this place & Waiheki so much. I cannot wait for the next trip. Also, their desserts seem really good, but we didn’t have room to try it, so I’ll be trying that next time for sure.
Excellent lunch yesterday with friends. Fresh, innovative dishes, well presented. My husband voting 372 as his favourite now. We had a rainy day but nothing dampened the food, wine and service. Great job 372. Our first visit remarkably but certainly not our last. Thank you.
The only damp side, was the human who stole one of our Blunt umbrellas... strange how you’d think a blue 100 dollar brolly was free with your lunch.
Outstanding food and service. Without doubt the best meal I’ve ever experienced on the island. The gurnard fish was sublime. The chocolate and cherry pudding was so yummy. Delicious. Highly recommended. The beach views are also stunning.
Heard of this place and made a trip to Waiheke to try it. Amazing food - wagyu steak was a def winner, friendly and knowledgeable staff, chill atmosphere with a killer view... What's there not to love? Five stars, hands down! Well deserved Metro Top 50 restaurant!
Incredible options for celiacs, on a recent work trip I could eat everything bar two items - including gluten free fried chicken. Delicious food, great drinks and wonderful ambience. An amazing space with great charismatic owners who really care. Cant wait to being my family here.

Heard great things about theeeseventwo and has to try it for myself on a recent trip to Waiheke. This place did not disappoint and infact exceeded my expectations. Situated on Onetangi beach with plenty of indoor and outdoor flow seating, it was a perfect sunday lunch location. Wait staff were attentive and even managed to pull off a surprise birthday treat for a friend. We had a beautiful pate for our entree followed by Fish of the day, Octopus and a side of potato skins. Amazing food, enjoyed every bite! Only downside was that food did take a little while to be served , glad I did have breakfast that morning. But well worth the wait. Highly recommended!
Absolutely fantastic. From the incredible view, the stylish waiheke crafted plates, unique(in the best way) water glasses. Service was attentive, without being overbearing but never waiting. Well versed on the wine list. And the food - an absolute delight with flavours that were just a joy to eat. Will defiantly return. Was also SO glad to be able to find out why they were called three seven two (based at number 12)
This is the next level that Onetangi needed. We went for lunch today and couldn’t fault it. Firstly, I’d probably recommend booking during the holidays just to be safe but we didn’t and still managed to get a great table right at the front over looking the beach! The place was packed but you wouldn’t know it from the staffs friendly and welcoming demeanour and the speed and quality of service.
From the minute we sat down the service was impeccable! Ice cold local sparkling water and wines served quickly, with a good selection of wines, beers and other drinks to suit!
We then had entrees of Sourdough bread and cultured butter (yum!!) and shiitake mushrooms dumplings. The dumplings were definitely a highlight and we were fighting over the last one!
For mains we had the lamb shoulder and fish of the day. Both were good portions and very well presented. The combination of flavours of both meals were so well balanced and you knew all the ingredients were super fresh. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert but tomorrow’s another day right?! Oh and let’s not forget the side of crispy smoked potatoes! Yes we definitely got a little excited when ordering but glad we did. Everything was perfection.
They cater for larger groups, with a very well thought out layout. They have seriously considered everything when developing this places and the faultless service is icing on the cake! This is definitely the standout along the Strand!!
From the moment we walked in, we loved the seaside decor with the pretty glasses on the table. Staffs made you feel so welcomed! The local raw Oysters tasted very fresh, delicate and silky. The baked one was served with the toppings that complement each other so well! Fish dishes were so perfectly cooked as well! Definitely one place I would want to come back and recommend everyone to try in Waiheke Island!
My visit to the beachside three seven two restaurant was nothing short of spectacular! The incredible array of flavors in one meal left me in awe. The service was outstanding, and the view of the beach was absolutely breathtaking. I wholeheartedly recommend this beachfront gem for an unforgettable dining experience with a view that's second to none.
Had a lovely lunch when visiting the beach. We ordered raw salmon entree, snapper, steak and chickpea pancake, all very delicious. Love their colourful glasses and seaside ambiance . We would love to come back again.
We ordered the fish and duck…. These were super yummy! The crispy potatoes and curry aioli is to die for !!
This sunset meal experience hit the spot after my hike from Oneroa to Onetangi. Lovely service, reasonably priced wine, incredible oysters, and the fish of the day with mussels and beans was *chefs kiss*. The only thing that would’ve made the fish dish even better is a piece of bread to soak up that incredible sauce. 🤤 Great last meal in Waiheke, can’t wait to return!
Lovely spot for lunch by the beach at Waiheke Island. The snapper was delicious and fried cabbage to die for!
A weekend getaway and we had such an amazing time here at three seven two. Food was to die for and we had such a wonderful service (light hearted and fun) to go along with our meals. Dishes came out in a promptly manner even though the restaurant was full! Everything we had was delicious and believe whatever you choose will be amazing. Thanks team! 👍
What a fantastic view to match up fresh food here. Really enjoyed all the dishes in a gorgeous setting.
Chickpea crepe : one of the best vegan meals I have had ever. The daily specials sounded very nice as well: maybe next time!
Beautiful location to have dinner. The menu was pretty straight forward with a lot of gluten free options. I had the tender loin steak, with béarnaise sauce that really complemented the meat. My partner had the fish of the day (snapper) with a salsa kind of sauce. All amazing!!
Customer service was great, but as we arrived more people started to come so very busy place. I would recommend to reserve a table.
Customer service - 5/5
Food quality - 5/5
Pricing - 5/5
Four years ago, I did the review below. I've been back many times, including this Saturday. Perry and the rest of the team are beyond amazing. Food is even better. View is perfection.
4 years ago review. Right on the beach. Service, food, and decor top notch. Added, plus you can take your dog. Chicken liver pate and buttermilk fried chicken...yum.
Best meal we had on Waiheke, just a class above with the food quality and flavour. Prices and portion sizes are better than some other fine dining places on Waiheke. Friendly efficient service and dog friendly too!
Make a reservation or go find out if there is availability later in afternoon and then enjoy the beach. Out waitress was great and the food was a delight. The view and setting feel like a summer day.
We had the most amazing yummy scrummy lunch with our Waiheke friends. It was the bomb. The waitress was top notch she really knows her job extremely well. Awesome mahi!
Delicious Food and Good environment in the island !!! We were impressed with the food !
Quite a wait for the food to arrive, but with breathtaking views and on island time, it was not a concern. The natural oysters were good and the kingfish excellent though had a strong hint of the ‘yellow sauce’ the dominated all our mains, on both fish dishes and the Agria potatoes.
The food we had for lunch was terrific— fresh oysters, boarfish and the dumplings. The setting is incredibly beautiful and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was that the time waiting for our food was excessive. The restaurant was less than half full and yet it was more than 45 min between our entrees and our mains. The wait staff was very apologetic and provided us with a couple complementary glasses of wine, but I do think more is expected of such a highly rated restaurant.
Excellent place to visit and eat. Rated as one of the top restaurant in Auckland. Would have totally missed it, if not for the tour guide raving about it on the bus.
Google maps also doesn't do I justice, as it is covered by Charlie Farley's. Unless you zoom in really close.
The staff at 372 were really friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed the service.
Ordered a Mocha and the Fish of the Day. Loved each and every bite/sip of the meal. Excellent flavor combination, as well as textures from the dish. Crispy outer layer, tender and moist on the inside. The sauce also works excellent with the fish.
We came to Three Seven Two for dinner with a large group and most people really enjoyed their meals. Top marks for the creamed paua! We were suggested a bottle of red wine by the waitstaff but luckily my sister in law requested a taster beforehand because we definitely didn't want a bottle of that one! We went with the Obsidian Vitreous in the end which I would strongly recommend. Worth the trip if you are on the island.
