Best Coffee and food in Opotiki, wouldn't look anywhere else. The service is wonderful and I've had everything on the menu and it's all DELICIOUS. My absolute favorite lunch spot for me, my mother and a good lunch date for me and my boyfriend. plus i very much recommend the chocolate Brownie!
Such a surprise to find this cool little cafe in Opotiki on our way south. Great coffee. The service is friendly and honest. Tasty food, notably the brownie and ginger slice.
We had to stop in on the way back it was so good.
The greatest coffee is served here.I have yet to find a cafe with better coffee. All the food is well presented, tasty and fresh. The raspberry and lemon muffins are my favorite. If you are passing through Opotiki take the time to stop and enjoy the experience.
The service here is excellent Mike and Liane have taken the time to learn exactly how all my family like their food and drinks served and give us extra special treatment which we appreciate. We enjoy visiting and relaxing in their welcoming, friendly company most Saturdays if we can. I would go more often if it wouldn't hurt my waistline! Coffees are the best. Favorite foods are the healthy chicken or beef salads, bacon and egg filo, ginger slice, raspberry/chocolate muffins, seafood chowder, and pretty much everything else on the menu.
What a great cafe! Coffee, food and service were all excellent. I was on holiday in the area for a week and went there every day. I loved the baked stuffed kumera and the ginger slice was absolutely scrumptious. There is a courtyard area for outside eating and inside is very welcoming and relaxing. Would highly recommend this cafe.
The kumara dish was wonderful. This little cafe/restaurant has a great atmosphere and it was obvious it is very popular with the locals. Very friendly service. Mature husband and wife team (both wearing dreadlocks!) doing a great job! This cafe is well worth a visit. I have visited Opotiki for the last 53 years since I was a child and it is good to see a great little restaurant like this in Opotiki.
I am now living in NSW but will be back for the Kumara dish again.
Always come here for coffee, and I know a good coffee, having lived in Melbourne for 4 years. Cant go wrong. My other half who loves her coffee also rates it highly. And the BIG Breakfast is always a challenge to get through.
After a few days on holiday fishing and camping with my family in Waihau Bay this cafe was a welcomed stop point on our way home to Rotorua.
Best eggs benedict I've had in a long time and the coffee was strong and tasty... My lady had the panni which was delicious but shame there was no second piece as she was left wanting more, my daughter had a fresh muffin which most of it ended up on the floor but she loved it...
Staff also very nice, casual feel to the place and relaxing just what we were looking for. Thanks guys.....A*
This is an excellent cafe in the heart of Opotiki town.
French toast is highly recommended, coffee good too. Only recommendation is they add smoked salmon to the EB as an option.
Great service, ka pai.
Visited this shop on my way to Auckland. Excellent place to grab a quick bite, breakfast, coffee, hot chocolate or tea. They do have other options for breakfast as well. What i liked is they give animals instead of number to give your order.
I loved it foods. Taste great and the environment is good. Being recommended by Lonely Planet in year 2015 and 2017
Amazing cafe with super yummy food. I had the bluecheese burger and it was incredible. The patty was obviously handmade and cooked perfectly. We had kids there on a wet day. The children loved their food. The food came out in a really timely manner considering how busy they were. The staff were so nice ands accommodating. We left very satisfied
Returned to this cafe a few times. Coffee is great. ALL their muffins are good. Seafood chowder is perfect. They have a number of other food selection that will not dissapoint. So glad to find cafe like this in a small town.
Grandson and I had a delightful afternoon meal here. Good food, drink, and atmosphere. I purchased a painting done by a local artist which reminds me of the afternoon and of New Zealand. (Forgot to write down the name of the painting though. LOL)

I was on a exchange when I first visited this Cafe, amazing people runs it and the treat is very familiar. The food and coffe were also fabulous, I tried the macaroni with mustard and cheese and I would order those again!
I would recommend it to everyone!
Excellent service and delicious food.
Just ridiculously good. Coffee was perfect, brunch was amazing and the previous day's muffins/raspberry slice and date scone were crammed with deliciousness.
