Pay them a visit. They make really great tasty omelettes. The omelettes are ...Light, fluffy and generous fillings. Friendly and nicely air-conditioned.
Very quick and friendly, personalised service! I ordered an ice coffee and a coffee and walnut slice which were pretty good and speedily served.
Lovely friendly staff in this warm and cosy cafe. They have a nice selection of cabinet food and a small daytime menu. I had the pumpkin, ginger and date muffin. Loved the combination of flavours. It was wonderfully moist and light. I want the recipe! They offer High teas as well which i am very keen to try out.
Fantastic friendly service, very child friendly. Great high chairs. Food was wonderful and great value for money. Wish we had found this place earlier during our stay. Couldn't resist waking away with a cake for later.
Coffee very good
We are regular brunch eaters and loved the generosity of portions with the ability to make your own breakfast up - laid out nicely ( toast on the side instead of soggy!) just good, honest food with really good coffee
All 4 of us had fantastic meals here last night. I didn't realise that this was an evening restaurant as well as daytime. So glad a friend recommended it. Couldn't fault any of the food. Service lovely and the added bonus of being BYO. We will definitely come here again.
Highly recommend! Outstanding prompt service, very accommodating of children and amazing food! Will definitely be back! A little gem in Orewa!
Lovely Cafe & Restaurant. We went there for lunch - I had the Prawn, Calamari, roast pumpkin, onion salad. It was lovely. My husband had the beef burger which was huge and looked great. It apparently was lovely. Also ordered was the fish and chips which was also very good and the fish fresh and beautifully cooked. The service was very friendly and we will definitely be back.
Reliably good. Often quieter than other cafes in Orewa probably due to its location away from the boulevard, at the western corner of the leaky Nautilus. Quick, friendly and efficient service. Range of food on the menu is not so extensive that the quality suffers, like some other local establishments - they do what they do, well. We've only had breakfasts here but the lunch menu and specials look appetising too. There's a range of interesting scones, slices, etc. Coffee is very good though my decaf could have been a little stronger.
Recommended.
Nice atmosphere, good service and good food, small mistake on our order was fixed very quickly, recommend for a pleasant Sunday brunch
I have been to the Emi Deli Cafe before and I love it. The food is great and the waiters and waitresses are very polite. Though, they used to have gluten free almond cakes with a lemon icing. They were the best dessert I had ever had! I had one of the Fluffies and they are great but a bit too small. The atmosphere is great and I love the pictures they have on the walls toward the couch area. Thanks and be sure to visit the Emi Deli Cafe!
One of my favourite eating places in Orewa. The owner and staff are always so friendly and attentive. The food is interesting and YUM, especially the date scones. I also live seeing local artwork displayed on the walls.
Great food all cooked on the premises.
We had breakfast and it tasted great.
The coffee was good too
Perhaps the best coffee I have ever had...and now they are serving fabulous dinners...the owner is personal, a great chef, and a good entrepreneur.
An oasis for good food in Orewa! If nothing else, come in for a great coffee. A Barista extraterritorial.
i recommend this restaurant it is soooo yummy!! entree we had king prawns which were sooo nice hmmm but they were 16 dont know about the price of those.yum though. and the mussles were nice ,only as an entree though, they were packet mussles.. pumpkin soup yumo. and then the mains ,scotch steak cooked perfectly! for 29.99 you could only have a 200gram steak with only 1 side.salad or chips. not salad and chips. so you had to pay an extra 6.99 for a side of salad or chips. that is a bit strange but still nice.LOVELY HOST!! we had the restaurant all to ourselves which was a bit strange ,them being soo nice and the food sooo great!! the menu might need to be looked at by a professional though, you shouldnt have to pay an extra 6.99 for a side of salad or chips,it should be added in with the meal. nice i would go back for a meal, hopfully there menu would be sorted? nice nice nice
Wow.... Is all I can say...
Can I PLEASE have your muffin recipe.... PLEASE...
Went for morning tea, great service, fantastic food and great coffee.... So we went twice in one morning...
Only down side is a funny layout to the cafe.. but not uncomfortable just a little awkward and small in places
Don't normally give five stars but you do deserve it... Keep it up and we will be back..
Fantastic service, lovely homely feel atmosphere and coffees were very nice. We had the famous 'Orewa Pumpkin and Ginger' muffins which were a meal in themselves! Great value for money. Will definitely come again.
I came here with my family about 6 weeks ago on a Sat morning for brunch and really enjoyed it, the staff were friendly and the kids were welcomed not overlooked like kids often are at cafes, The food was yum and the coffee was really good, we weren't waiting long for anything either, the decor, ambience and general decor were lovely and we left happy and ready to come back another time, it was maybe a little more expensive than other similar cafes but we are happy to pay a little more when a cafe is ticking all the boxes!- This weekend we were back for a second time, the kids loved their fluffies with marshmallows, my husband enjoyed the soup and I raved to my friends about the pumpkin and ginger muffins (their signature muffin I'm guessing) and another great cappuccino. This is quickly becoming my new favourite coffee spot. :)
I recently visited emi deli cafe on my way through from Auckland city to Walkworth,
I found the staff to be pleasant and one young European girl stood out to me in particular as having a wonderful attitude and a beautiful disposition. My dining experience was therefore a very pleasant one and i WILL be back!
Awesome coffee, great service, lovely little place! Loved the local feel, but never felt like an outsider! Staff and kitchen very accommodating. Vegan-tolerant, happily ensured there was no dairy used in my partners breakfast.
Fantastic Food:
Especially the beef pie, flavour and meat just melt-in-your-mouth, my husband was very impressed. Pastry light and beautifully presented. This was accompanied with a basket of freshly fried potato chips. Options of side salads available.
Thai Fish Cake full of flavour, light and followed with flat white coffees. Perfect for a quick lunch.
Atmosphere quiet and peaceful.
Restaurant Chairs could do with some refurbishment, otherwise decor very pleasant.
Staff very nice and accommodating. Thanks
Very friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. I needed a plate of sweets or a cake to take to a party and was running late. They saved the day by giving me some yummy brownies and decorated them nicely on a white dish.
I got the vegetarian breakfast & mint hot chocolate. The food was amazing. Lots of flavours with corn fritters, avocado, mushrooms, eggs etc. Will definitely go back! I want to try the Fishcakes next!
This cafe is great, the coffee and pumpkin and ginger muffins are both to die for and the staff are really friendly. A definite favourite - though my waist line wont agree for long!
Great coffee and sweet bites. The new owner served us, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
Very good. Always good here. Friendly staff and owner very welcoming. Nice and cool too on a hot day which many cafes are not.
My husband and I went here for lunch on a Sunday, the food was very good, great service and the coffee for me was that good I had to have a second cup. Finally someone who can make a decent cheese scone ,that didn’t just have cheese on the top and bacon toasted sandwich that was delicious and very well presented .Very well worth going. Also a cafe that doesn’t have such loud music that you can’t hear each other, such a rare find these days
Very pleasant atmosphere in this popular little cafe. Very friendly service, a good variety of food, reasonable prices.
Lovely place to have a coffee just one thing I had to wait 20 min after my food came to get our coffee still worth going there next time I will mention I want the fod ad coffee together
I love this place.Thr staff are listed belt and good coffee. They have a lady that makes terrific cakes at a reasonable price.
Best Cafe in Orewa, easily. Best staff and decor, the 'World Famous in Orewa' muffin is great!
Love the "new" EmiDeli. Lovely food, friendly and efficient staff; great Sunday morning coffee stop!
Attentive, sometimes hit and miss from the kitchen. Coffee is drinkable, not outstanding. Nice decor to enjoy
Amazing service. Feels like you're at home. Nice food also ☺️
Friendly staff. Good food. Plenty of space. Parking is close by too.
