This is my favourite sushi place in Ōtorohanga. The sushi is freshly made, great efficient service and super friendly. I love the fresh salmon bento box❤️
Sushi is always made to order. The big difference from Auckland’s sushi shop to this shop is, here they don’t put too much sauce. The miso soup is like a warm hug, less salty. Perfectly balanced meal. Way better than Auckland. Highly recommend! Very humble staff ❤️
A gem of authentic Japanese cuisine in the main drag of Otorohanga. Forget dried out, pre-prepared sushi. Sushi and bento boxes prepared within three minutes of ordering, so deliciously fresh for takeaway or dine-in. Locals, and anyone passing through, are in for a treat.

So delicious! The salmon and avocado were so fresh. This place had some of the freshest salmon I've ever had. The sushi and sashimi set was a wonderful dinner and the pieces were large and filling. If you're nearby and love Japanese food or salmon, you ought to try this place!
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Auckland. Small, clean & cute place with kind staff and amazing food. Great vegetarian options! All dishes had delicious flavor and tasted very fresh (especially the vegetables). Very satisfied overall & highly recommend!!
visited twice during our stay I really enjoyed eating here the seafood udon was chewy and seafood tasted fresh. Miso soup also tasted great and unagi was good too
My favorite local Japanese restaurant, the owner is so sweet and kind. I always order the takoyaki and without a doubt, he always takes his time to warn me how hot they are. The eel donburi is my favorite 10/10 never had a bad experience here
The make the sushi fresh, right when you order it ! I had the salmon and avocado rolls, they were huge and really yummy!
