Wonderful staff, and excellent atmosphere. My child was having number 2 issues and they were absolutely amazing. They helped my daughter whilst I got to eat my tea and have a break from my stressful situation.
Yummy meals and pleasant place to sit and relax
My husband and I bought takeaway coffees yesterday, Thursday. Quite simply THE BEST FLAT WHITE I have had ! My husband had a cappuccino and says it would be hard to find a better coffee anywhere. I agree. The coffee was perfectly made - right temp, great taste - good tasting coffee beans. Well done
Great food, the corn fritters are excellent. The pizza, fish and crumpets all looked yummy too. Graham does a great job front of house. We travelled about 50kms to have lunch here
Great place and fantastic staff only had a very light inexpensive lunch, but they still treated us as special customer's. Would go again if ever in that area. Thank you to their chief and staff.
Stopped for coffee, and on the evidence of the cabinet food decided to stay for breakfast - we weren't in any way disappointed. The big breakfast was indeed BIG, but also incredibly tasty and overwhelmingly fulfilling - highly recommended!

They make Gluten Free pizza and once when they had run out of GF bases they kindly went and made pizzas for me on bases I bought from New World! Exceeding expectations!
Stopped on our way to palmerston north for brunch and it was so good we stopped on the way back too. Best food of our weekend away and coffee as it should be. Will definitely call in again!

Worth a stop folks. Nice friendly staff...very good coffee. Looked nice and clean to us. Fast service and next time we will stay longer for a lunch. No complants here. Top marks.
We called in, on the way up to Napier (Friday) . Fabulous, friendly staff member, went out of her way to be welcoming. Great to see on our travels :) Great coffee and food too
What a gem we have in little Pahiatua! The black stump is seriously worth making the trip over the track for.

Of particular note; the vegetarian in our group loved the Israeli cous cous salad. So often vegetarians
Graham was so obliging to accomodate us when othe arrangements with another restaurant turned sow. The food at Black Stump was amazing and the service going the extra mile. I would recommend this as the best restaurant to dine at in Pahiatua
Excellent. Took a group of 50 there for dinner and breakfast. Food and service was outstanding. No complaints. Look forward to returning next year.
Lovely to see this restaurant has survived after 20 years whereas the rest of the town looks a little sad right now.
I hope it will all turn around with the upgraded layout and street improvements
