We loved the food both days at breakfast. Every bits was really fresh and tasty. The only suggestion I have is perhaps don’t put the hot and juicy baked tomato on the crispy hash brown. I was quick to move it to the side so it didn’t make the hash brown soggy otherwise it would have.
Coffee was pretty good too. And the view is to die for.
Wonderful dining experience for Hubby's 40th. Steak and seafood was cooked perfectly, wait staff were very attentive. Lovely outlook over the water and Resort pools. Restaurant is small but added to the ambience. Had a couple of new waitresses on their first night. They did very well and Daniel the Manager was leading them all the way. You could tell they were nervous but that added to the charm of the night. Great night, we will definitely be back next trip.
Good service, we all enjoyed the big breakfast, friendly staff, and the environment was calming.
But gluten free bread was soggy other than that, we liked it.
We had an excellent dinner👌 little bit of confusing entrance but looking nice pool😅
Entree was just okay or a bit cheap flavour but main was exceptional.. especially pork👌 one of the best one ive ever had.
Had breakfast here twice. Great service and very good kai and coffee.
Nice views as well!
Lovely setting views of beach and sea. Friendly staff and yummy food the best so far in town.❤️
Had a very enjoyable meal at Glasshouse. Very pleasant setting and ambience. Food was delicious, had salmon & pork belly as well as dessert. Waiter was very lovely, not quite fine dining if this is what you are expecting but very adequate level of service.
Nice place to have breakfast. We went there twice and can highly recommened the eggs benedict with salmon.
You can find The Glasshouse Restaurant in the Bay of Islands, Paihia, New Zealand. It is located in the beautiful Paihia Beach Resort and Spa a short picturesque walking or driving distance from the central dining area in Paihia. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and used out Entertainment Card valid for 1 Complimentary main dish. The food is served family style as it arrives, and is intended to be shared. We tried the Steak Tartare and Fresh Seasonal Oysters to start, they were delicious and a nice fresh way to start our meal. We particularly liked the homemade crackers as an accompaniment to the Tartare. For mains we tried the Slow Cooked Lamb and the Flank Steak – both were cooked to perfection and very good portion sizes. I am a salt and pepper fiend but I had no desire for either on this occasion. There was an excellent selection of drinks available including wines and whiskey. My husband enjoyed a Japanese whiskey suggested by our waiter that was not on the menu. This was a special treat for us and we had expected this to be quite an expensive restaurant hence using our Entertainment Book. What we found was great food, resort town comparable pricing and excellent service. We noticed many tourists walking by opting to line up and other local restaurants when we felt that this restaurant has so much to offer. Definitely worth having a look when you are in Paihia.
We go for coffee most days. Good coffee great location. Breakfast look good. Really friendly and inviting team work here.
Great ambiance and courteous staff. The waiter was helpful to offer suggestions. We enjoyed the appetisers and main, my favourite dish was the lamb. Large portion sizes as well. We ordered creme brûlée for dessert and it was ok - the custard wasn’t sweet enough to balance against the bitterness of the caramel crunch and raspberry compote. All is all a good experience!
The glasshouse is in a beautiful spot with ocean views. The waiters were gorgously helpful and the food delicious. It was great sharing the food aswell, made for a great night
The most beautiful deserts I have ever tasted. The breakfast was some of the highest quality I have seen in such a long time and the staff omg fun passionate about their jobs ands smiles to match if I could give more stars I would 🌟 the chief George and his staff are amazing make this a must when you eat up north.
Best restaurant in Te Tai tokerau. This was legitimately the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had. The view from the restaurant is stunning and leads to an amazing atmosphere, in addition to this the staff here work so hard and strive to make every part of the experience special our waitress(Jesse) in particular made our time here feel comfortable and amazing. We are not used to the fine dining experience but the glasshouse team made us feel at home. The food was of an impeccable quality and prepared and presented beautifully, the staff had an excellent knowledge of the menu and catered to our dietary requirements as vegetarians without hesitation making great recommendations. Kai pai team your Mahi was greatly appreciated many compliments to everyone who made our evening perfect, nga mihi Hemi and Sage.
Dinner was so very delicious! I had steak and partner had lamb. yummy! The waiters were lovely. Our waiter had great taste and was a blast to talk to! Thanks again for recommending the chefs special- sticky date pudding 😋
Great breakfast place. Our whole crew of seven enjoyed their meals. My omelette was big, hearty, and tasty ($22). The service was good. The staff were more than happy to rearrange the tables to accommodate us. The view out over the bay was nice. It was lovely and cosy on a chilly winter's morning.
Elegant restaurant, yummy food and friendly staff. Will recommend
